I ordered seared scallops with a truffle oil lobster, corn risotto. Unfortunately, creative writing. I actually received white rice, mushroom soup, corn 3 small pieces of very fishy lobster terrible. Bartender packaging up my husband's leftovers offered to get me something else as we were leaving not to take it off the bill. This underwhelming dish $45 ultimately wound up in the trash. Wide open at 5pm. Four of us sat at bar. Great barmaids. Ordered shrimp cocktail and meatballs. No sooner she left with order bar back came out with apps in like 2 minutes. Never in all my life had order made and delivered that fast. Seemed odd. Shrimp were a good size but rather chewy. Meatballs super mushy. Entree was the burger with primerib and onion rings. Huge burger but came with a cold roll. Why not grill or heat the roll? Onion rings all small pieces. Not one full onion ring to be found. Salad with feta was super light on the feta. My wife wasn't thrilled. Steak and cheese wrap looked ok. Nothing spectacular. I've been here before and had a steak that was blah. Thought I'd give it another try. We came in on. Saturday night, were quoted a 30-40 min wait but were seated in about 15 mins. Inside it's bigger than it appears, can be loud at time but very nice overall. Our service really was lacking. I'm not sure if our waitress was having an off night or something but she could have been better. She never told us the specials. I didn't even know they had specials until I over heard another waitress giving a table next to ours the list of them. The end of the meal was awkward too. We split a steak and sides for dinner, ate most of the steak but not a lot of the sides.. she took away everything at once.. bread included! And didn't pack anything up To go. By the time we realized we weren't getting our leftovers to go it was probably too late to ask about it because they were more than likely in the trash. Not a huge deal, but the prices are expensive so I wish we got to take home what we didn't finish. Also she brought us the check after clearing our table, never asked if we wanted anything else. We did want dessert and coffee- we asked for the dessert menu and got it to go. The food is really good! We had the bacon wrapped scallops for an appetizer, the portion was huge, and scallops were nice and fresh. I wish it came with a dipping sauce, but they were still good. We split the porterhouse steak that came with mashed potatoes and green beans- best steak I've had in a long time. It was dripping with truffle butter too. Well it was an exciting lunch for me as I was meeting my old boss who I haven't seen in 36 years! We met at Stockholders because it was a midway point for us both and I have eaten here before and knew the food wouldn't disappoint! I opted for a Reuben, my ex-boss opted for a mixed green salad with a beautiful piece of salmon on top and my man had a fried seafood platter! Everything was delicious and our server Maria was just great. She was dressed for St. Patrick's day and looked so lovely.. she did a great job for us and I could tell she had been at it for a while! This is a very good restaurant located along Route 18 in Weymouth. I was there recently dining with family and it was a nice atmosphere where everyone was able to relax and enjoy themselves. They have a good menu that includes appetizers, steaks, seafood and poultry dishes as well as salads and sandwiches. For my entree I picked the grilled steak tips that included a potato and vegetable for side dishes. I went with the delmonico potatoes and green beans as my two choices for side dishes. My meal was delicious and the portion sizes were good. There was even enough to take some of the meal home with me. The waiter that we had was very good and provided us with excellent service. We were all very pleased with the service. I would gladly dine here again. read more

However, big disappointment was that we didn't get the delicious bread with oil and the delicious beans. We asked our server who informed us that it had become too costly to serve them so now you can just BUY a loaf of bread (no dipping oil and beans) for $5.00. Are they serious? So I finally made it to Stockholders in Weymouth for a little celebration lunch and let me just say, the service was giving hospitality! The staff was warm, the vibes were right, and our server was super attentive (love that for us). I ordered the short rib grilled cheese because, duh, comfort food is one of my love languages,lol. The meat was fall-apart tender, yassssss, but it was giving... low-key bland ‍. I wanted a little more soul in my bite, so I found myself dipping it in ketchup and mayo like it was a backyard cookout. Not mad at it, but definitely wanted more seasoning. Still, the portion was huge and easily a meal for two. Now for the star of my palate: those scallops wrapped in bacon. Baby. PERFECTION. Melt-in-your-mouth amazing with just the right amount of crisp on the bacon. I will 100% be back for those alone. The bride-to-be ordered the haddock tacos and loved them and loved them. The matron of honor went with the spicy honey wings and steak & cheese eggrolls. She was vibing with both, minus the dipping sauce (which wasn't giving what it needed to give--but that's minor). All in all, Stockholders is a cozy, solid spot with good service and potential for a great meal depending on your picks. Next time I go, I'm bringing my husband and trying a seafood dish because clearly the scallops were the stars of the day. This place sucks. My steak tips had a disgusting sauce that tasted like battery acid. The asparagus tasted like the burnt oak wood they cook it over. My wife's steak was tough as rubber. I rarely leave negative reviews, but our recent dinner experience was extremely disappointing. There were five of us dining, and the meal was one of the worst we've had in a long time. My husband and I ordered a seafood pasta dish, and the seafood tasted and smelled rotten. The mussels were especially bad--I had to pick them all out because they tasted spoiled and had an unpleasant odor. On top of that, the pasta itself was not cooked properly. My son ordered the porterhouse steak, and it arrived heavily charred. He asked for medium -rare but received barely pink inside! The burnt flavor completely overwhelmed the taste of the steak, making it taste more like charcoal than beef. Our bill was nearly $400, and while we don't mind spending money for a quality meal, this was far from it. The food quality was unacceptable and very disappointing. What's especially frustrating is that we've had good experiences here in the past, usually when ordering the turkey dinner. Unfortunately, this visit was a completely different experience. If I could give less than one star for this meal, I would. I hope management takes food quality and kitchen consistency more seriously because this experience was not worth the price. read more

Before the food comes they start you off with fantastic focaccia bread with oil Seasoning dipping sauce and black eye peas with a touch of vinaigrette that's absolutely delicious. That alone would be good enough to call it a meal. The side appetizer known as the sweet and spicy cauliflower was something I've never had before and not sure how I lived this long without something so delicious! The five of us went crazy over it and we haven't even started the meal. We had traditional Turkey dinners that would stuff a bear 3 times over and reminded us of home. Just unbelievable!! We also had the clam chowder, but this strawberry salad with this creamy goat cheese and nuts was crazy delicious and perfectly balanced balsamic vinaigrette was amazing! The French dip burger was massive and to die for as well. This was our first visit and it's SLAP YA MOMMA GOOD!! Nick was our server and he was just awesome and though very busy, he did a great job of making us feel welcomed. We will be return customers once we take a week to finish our leftovers. I really enjoyed this restaurant experience. I was in town for a friends wedding and had the out of town dinner in a separate room. The menu was fantastic and the food was amazing. Though I ordered the steak tips with ponme frites and sweet potatoes mash I also had a chance to try the prime rib and salmon. I was surprised at the quality of all the plates, as most places that get fish to perfection don't often get red meat or poultry down as well. Imagine my surprise when I had fortunate enough to have all of the above! The service was fast and friendly, with wait staff checking up on us frequently. First let me say I was very sad leaving here yesterday. 4-26-26. My husband and I used to go here a lot. It was one of my favorite restaurants, I can honestly say we will not be back! The only thing good about yesterdays visit was the service was great. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and attentive. The food came out a lot quicker than I expected. My food was not hot, my husband ordered a steak, medium ,and it came out almost mooing. We are not one to send back our food so he ate it and was paying for it all night. Very upset stomach. I got the lobster mac and cheese, which I have ordered many times here. There was no flavor to it, I had to add salt which I have never done before and there was hardly any lobster in it. In the past the lobster was over flowing the pan. The food was not good and the portions have definitely gotten a lot smaller. We used the last of our gift cards here yesterday and unfortunately this will have been our last trip here. This is a restaurant that when they first opened the parking lot would be packed and you had a very long wait time. We went around 4pm and there was about 10 cars in the lot. This is my 2nd visit in many years. Not sure why I waited so long to go back. Dinner at 5pm on a Friday night. No wait for table at seating just across from bar area. Cozy table next to wall fireplace. Waiter was friendly and happy to serve. Focaccia bread oil and bean salad was yummy start. Old fashioned and Manhattan drinks strong and well made. Husband had sirloin and raved, cooked perfectly medium rare, juicy, not fatty and flavorful. I had Caesar topped w salmon. My friends and I chose this restaurant partly because they had dined there before, but also as a South Shore Hospital employee we would receive a 15% discount off our entire meal. South Shore Hospital appreciates the vendors who recognize our dedication to our patient care. We strive to provide the best care possible to Everyone who walks through our doors, embracing diversity in our community. Our server Mary was very professional and attentive to our needs. When taken our drink orders, I showed her my South Shore Hospital badge and mentioned my employment there. She acknowledged and we proceeded with our meal which totaled approximately $700 with tip. After our meal, Mary informed us that her manager had stated we could not use the discount because our party consisted of eight people, while the discount applied only to parties of six or fewer. I was taken back by this and asked if she could request and exception from the manager. Mary returned to say the manager had refused. Mary herself also being unaware of this limitation as a fellow South Shore Hospital employee. We then request to speak with the manager directly. When the manager, Karen arrived at our table she was annoyed. Rude and disrespectful. She didn't even give us eye contact. We asked if we could split the bill so that six people could receive the discount while the other two paid full price. Karen refused, stating she would not split the bill. We then asked, what if anything could be done? Karen suggested splitting our group into two parties of four, requiring two badges from us. There were eight of us in total. This makes no sense, especially since she had just refused to split the bill and knew we did not have another badge. Her comment, "I'm not going to do that for YOU," highlighted the colorism we experienced as eight professional African American individuals. There were Nurses at that table and she attempted to reduce us as beggars. Hynes Restaurant Group wants to honor first responders. The behavior displayed by Karen was egregious. All of us including my husband and three coupled friends, have decided never to eat there again. This incident occurred Sunday, 7/21/24. The following day, I checked the vendor listing at work, which clearly stated a 15% discount for parities of 10 and under. The discrepancy, coupled with Karen's comment and refusal to honor the discount was unacceptable. I contacted my benefits department, who confirmed that the discount "is always honored". Ahhhh!! The meal I just had here is hands down, one of the favorites of my lifetime! My best friend and I came here for dinner and sat at the bar. We started with the buffalo chicken lettuce wraps. The chicken was nicely fried and had good buffalo flavor. I would definitely order these again. We were also served warm bread & oil, which was delicious and I couldn't stop eating it. For my entree, I ordered something I would normally skip right over on the menu and it has been the best decision I've made all year: the traditional turkey dinner. First of all, the portion size is outrageous. This dish could easily feed two people, possibly/probably three. Second of all, you definitely don't need teeth to eat this meal. The turkey was incredibly tender and juicy. The stuffing, mashed potatoes, butternut squash and cranberry sauce were just the perfect mix of comfort. And that gravy? I could have drank it alone, it was that good. I loved every crumb of this meal. If I were on death row, this turkey dinner would be included in my last meal. I ordered the mixed grill and asked if I could have the "delmonico potatoes" instead of mashed yet all I received was some cheesy mashed potatoes, they were not delmonico potatoes as advertise on the menu. The steak tips were very chewy, the pulled pork was a lake of barbecue sauce and the corn on the cob was very small. It should be noted that this restaurant charges an admin fee. This was my second time at Stockholders and I can say, the food is good. I ordered the Spicy Chicken sandwich (requested that it was prepared un-spicy) and my my bf ordered the Braised Short Rib plate which included two sides. Although the short rib plate includes two sides, there was still an up charge for his side of broccoli of $4. The Braised Short Rib ($29) was super tender, on a scale of 1-5 rated at a 4. The Chicken sandwich ($19) is rated a 5, was made to perfection and perfectly flavored. I can say for the Rib plate to include two sides and being charged $4 for a vegetable side was a bit confusing but nevertheless the food was good and worth the trip to Weymouth. read more

Always a positive experience here. I am a Filet Mignon regular with a side of butternut squash and baked potato most visits. Cocktails are always chilled and very good.
