Okay the manager here sucks - I think her name is gabby. We moved out and I called to ask about packages that had been delivered there, she told me I needed to call the post office. I just went in to see if they were there and turns out they were in the back room this entire time. Would it have killed her to go look? She's horrible to work with. Aubryana (probably miss spelling her name) is amazing. So responsive and sweet!! We had issues with our cars being broken into, a stabbing happened right outside our door, the gate never worked, and kids stole our door dash orders. Our upstairs neighbor was horrendous and we had mice in our bushes until we complained enough for them to come put out traps. read more

FIRST OF ALL, the parking here is absolutely HORRENDOUS. There's never any parking spots because of the clueless people that got their license at the bottom of a cereal box. I never write Yelp reviews, yet here I am. I am going to start out by saying find somewhere else to live. The apartments are amazingly beautiful at first glance, but the longer I've lived here the more and more I find wrong. It's a bunch of gross little things like finding strands of hair painted over on our wall because the apartment wasn't cleaned before repainting. There is dog poop smeared everywhere outside, despite an extra $30 pet rent instituted to be for cleaning it up. The management is absolutely horrendous. They will not handle any issues that arise, much less even return an email. I have had to listen to a car alarm go off 2/3 times in the middle of the night for months, and can't even get an email back. We have had neighbors pour bong water onto our balcony and dog. I only got a response from upper management after a few phone calls. Amenities: The pool is disgusting. It's open for maybe 3 months a year, and during those 3 months the county has to shut it down for hygiene purposes. The water is regularly green. Basketball court: Chained and locked up, I have not been able to access it a single time that I have tried. Gym: The gym has a few basic things, but is generally nice. That is after you pay the $25 fee to get the access badge. Parking: It's a nightmare unless you pay for a carport or garage rental. Garage rentals will run you $150. If that is too steep for you and you work past 5pm, good luck. The ONE good thing Echelon has going for them is an amazing maintenance team. Those guys work their ass off dealing with overflowing trash and the constantly breaking appliances (on my third dishwasher/ second dryer). I am sure that if these apartments found a good management team they would be spectacular, until then it's not worth the price or troubles to rent here. read more

Apartment staff pros: They always handle all of my issues in a fast and efficient manner. They are super sweet even making my 3 year old a cooking when she went in to visit them ( for a cookie) one afternoon and they were all out. Every time I go in the office they ask me how I am and are just very sociable. Apartment staff cons: Well the ladies have resting bitch face. (Definitely not their fault) So unless they are constantly smiling you will think they are angry or don't want to be bothered. That is really the only con and it's not their fault who the heck wants to smile all the time. Apartment complex Pros: It is kept pretty clean, the insides are spacious and it's close to everything while still being semi secluded. If you live in the back apartments facing the trees it will stay pretty cool in the summer. As long as you have a fan and keep a couple vents on it will feel like you have AC when you don't. Apartment complex cons: Well even though during the day it stays pretty quiet at night it can get loud. A lot of it has to do with the lack of sound proofing between apartments. You can hear everything. Whenever anyone closes their door or plays music or has a fight. The privacy is very limited here. Also because it backs up to a wildlife preserve area there are a lot of spiders. Even more so when it starts getting cold outside. During the summer some people let their kids run wild which sucks especially if you want some quiet time at the pool. This apartment is better than the rest in this area so I would definitely take a look if you want to live in this area. The problems are the same at any apartment so it's really just what you want to live with. The spaciousness can not be beat though! read more

This is home.... I love the feel of the inside of my apartment and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Maintenance needs are often tended within a few hours. My only complaint is the materials used were of very low grade and so you hear everything from your neighbors. This is heavy military here and that often means young and those who love to party. I was young once too so tollerate this. The rent however is to high for what you get. I have lived here almost two years and will be leaving November due to the outrageous rent increses. Be really careful if you decide to move in here. Parking is a huge problem. The complex encouraged me not to do an inspection prior to moving out stating that it really was no big deal. As a novice to renting, I agreed. Bad decision. If you do move in here, be sure to make a video of the place before you move in, and do multiple complete inspections before you leave. Warning to all possible residents!!!! I personally do not live here, but will speak about it due to wanting to submit an application. This is not something I will move forward with simply due to the staff. Today I was visiting my sister for a swimming trip and the grouchy lady in the front told my sister that she was only allowed two guests to swim. Well that was perfect because I wasn't swimming and I had my 2 small children with me. The woman at the front continued to tell me that I could not go in with my kids. The reasoning was due to the pool being at occupancy. Well as you can see in the pictures attached, the pool area was darn near empty. I told her there was nobody in the pool and asked if I could just sit in the chair. I also stated that if the pool area got full, I would leave. I just wanted to sit down, watch my kids and hang out with my sister. She told me NO and that I had to sit outside of the gate. During this interaction, she huffed, puffed and rolled her eyes the entire time. So now, I am currently on the ground outside the pool area talking to my sister thru the fence. What a great experience. I feel bad for the residents that have to put up with this treatment. Beautiful office, but ugly people (figuratively) working in the front office, specifically RENEE the manager. She should not be working with people. I never do this and when I do never reviewed something under 4 stars but here I am. We can not wait for our lease to be up so we can move out of here! The people in the office are awful. They are super disrespectful and act like they are so much better than you and above you. We've asked multiple times for the dog poop to be cleaned up outside of our apartment and it's not been 4 weeks and it's still there. We finally had to pick it up ourselves so we could have your windows open and not smell dog poop. The landscape and grass is awful. I have kids out and they can't even go play outside because of the dog poop. The trash is always packed full (obviously not the apartments fault but maybe request more pick ups?) and you cant even get to the trash cans so people just throw their trash on the ground. When we first got our garage there was shattered glass and razor blades in there and we had to clean it out ourselves. The number pad is awful we have to usually put our code in 3-5 times for it to even open and when it stopped working completely we called the office multiple times and no one even answered. The parking is awful! The apartment itself is overall good for the price. Except, when we moved in we had to completely clean it because it looked like they just had someone come in and vacuum, if that. There was cobwebs EVERYWHERE, splattered stuff all over the walls, dirty appliances, mold in our bathtub, dust and dirt literally everywhere, etc. I'm mostly just Very disappointed in super disrespectful front office staff the other things are things we can fix. read more

I really loved my apartment. It was super clean and the property was well kept. That wasn't the problem. The rental office staff was so incredible rude and disrespectful. I can't even imagine a place that is so pricey giving such poor customer service. I lived here for almost 4 years while active duty. It was the best place surrounding JBLM, so I dealt with management. Moving out can be a nightmare if you don't clean your apartment to standard. My carpets were always cleaned because I have a shampooer and I kept up with that aspect. But this place will charge you a cleaning fee regardless of how clean your apartment is already. You may say, well don't clean the apartment and let them do it then. If you do that, you will not get your deposit back and may be charged another months rent. So you have to clean and expect to lose your cleaning fee deposit. Parking can be stressful after around 7 p.m. Beware they enforce care towing. This would stress me out coming off shift from post. Only to come home after providing patient care and not being able to simple park my care. Yes you can pay for a spot. That is an option but, not everyone has the extra cash to do this monthly. The rent is already pretty pricey, so I expect to be able to park my car when I get off a nursing shift. This parking problem extended into weekends when trying to go out with friends. If you move your car, when you come back home you will not have a spot. Not really a bad complex. Actually it was very nice. It was just the rude management team. As a formed Army Nurse Corps Officer, I DO NOT recommend ANY soldiers live here. You all deserve to be treated and respected well for all that you do for the country. Take your time to find a nice place that has a strong leadership team that understands basic customer service. Coming to Echelon Apartments was like a breath of fresh air. I've lived in over 30 apartments/houses as an adult and have never had such an accommodating experience. We were on a very tight time constraint and I had a pending surgery that made it urgent that we find a place to live ASAP. Amanda, at the front office, did a phenomenal job at ensuring that the administrative aspect of our paperwork moved quickly and smoothly. All the staff at Echelon was friendly and professional through the initial process just as they continue to be. The maintenance staff is phenomenal, and has dealt with all my issues within a day. Of course, it was in the upmost professional way! We are extremely grateful that we found a home that was in a good location, had great amenities, professional and friendly staff, and works hard to maintain their high standards. read more

Let's start with the people in the office, THEY ARE TRASH, they're rude, they will hang up the phone on you, and they do not know how to put the phone on hold before they begin to talk s*** about you. I should have known before I moved in because there was a pregnant female in the office around the time I moved in, and she was terrible, she could not even be professional enough to speak up when talking to people coming in the office, and she has a problem with rolling her eyes. The maintenance system is terrible, they tell you that they are coming Monday, Monday comes and passes, I call Tuesday to ask when they are coming they say okay Thursday they will come, the maintenance man gets here, and he tells me that he never told those in the office that they would get to my apartment on Monday, that they never brought it up to his attention outside of my work order. THE PARKING, they expect you to buy a parking garage or overpass that is on the other side of the apartment complex and if the apartments are full they expect you to park I don't know where the hell because there are no stores around or anywhere else anyone would be able to park !!! They need a complete makeover of the parking spots and the management team they have. If you move in as a last resort I am so sorry. read more

Don't even waste your time looking. The staff here has pretty much always been totally unhelpful jerks. The turnover rate is high and fast. The apartments are OK, but if you get a noisy or elephant footed neighbor, the staff aren't going to do squat anymore. The property changed hands in the last year, and the first thing the new owners did was cancel their contract with the military. They cater to an entirely different type of renter now. Vandalism has gone up, complaints have gone up, and the condition of the property has plummeted. The staff that used to take care of ground keeping and maintenance, have been reduce from full time crews to just a couple of guys whose schedule reads, 'When I get around to it'. As for the parking situation, it's been bad since the place opened, and it's only getting worse.There are 1, 2, and 3 bedroom Apts in the complex, but even if you have 3 adults, all with cars in a 3 bdrm, you only get ONE parking space. Of course you can pay extra for one of the covered spaces, or even more for car garage, but the only spot that you can count on is the garage. They used to at least try to control the problems by giving people parking stickers, so those that shouldn't be in the lot at all could be warned, and if necessary, towed, but they don't even bother anymore, and people WILL park in your paid for covered spot. There is absolutely NO place to park outside the gate/fences, unless you want to park several blocks away, and hoof it back. For the kind of money these bozos are charging, you can find a nicer apartment with far better management elsewhere. read more

Well if I could give 0 stars I would ! I don't even know where to start... First off apartments are pretty nice on the inside can't complain there. However that is the only nice thing about the apartment complex. Management is awful awful awful. The ladies in the leasing office couldn't be more stuck up and blatantly rude if they tried. When my husband and I moved in the assistant manager was being really nice to my husband , very polite when talking to him, but then when she would talk to me she was very short and kept saying demeaning comments directed towards me. i.e. They do a background check before you can move in and she told me 4 times in our little conversation that if I was a criminal I couldn't live here. I got it the first time thanks no need to say it four times and insinuate that you think I'm a criminal three more times. Secondly my husband is in the army and this complex advertises that it offers the RPP program. The day we signed our lease the manager said that we could move in and bring her the RPP paper work at our convenience. We even got that in writing. When we took her the RPP paper work she said that they will not let us join the RPP program since we already signed the lease. We showed the manager the paper work saying that the assistant manager said we could do it after signing the lease, but she still said no and screwed us over. Thirdly when fedex or UPS comes to deliver you a package if you don't answer the door they drop it off at the front office and you have to go get it from them which is great... Except the office gave my packages to someone else not once but TWICE !! How does that even happen!! And when I told them this they said "oh well we are sorry but you are going to have to wait until they bring it back " yeah ok like that's going to happen ( and it never did and I never got my packages ). Lastly they are supposed to be a gated community but I have never in my life had so many solicitors knock on my door. How did they even get in ? It's not like they were knocking on my door during office hours. It was 7pm or later the latest I had was 930 !! Doesn't make you feel very safe. If you are thinking about moving here don't do it you will regret it tenfold especially if you are military it's not like these apartments are cheap. The echelon apartments asthetic wise is very nice and clean. Inside the apartments is very airy and roomy. The basketball gym and weight room is a plus living here. The neighborhood is very very quiet and everyone keeps to themselves, however, the STAFF here is very unprofessional. Property Manager Victoria and Pauline is very rude and unprofessional. Victoria is condescending and hangs up on us when we asked about our lease. She withhold information and keeps you on hold purposely to make you inferior. This place preys on the tenants and charge you absurd prices to move out. Customer service is no good here. Don't expect to live at a place where the property management care about the tenants. Upon moving here, I was apprehensive due to some reviews however the reviews deem true. Don't move here, save yourself some headaches. It all looks nice until you touch it and it breaks, then it never gets fixed. Waited for 2 months to have the door to my closet fixed because it wouldn't stay closed and I would run into it going to the bathroom at night. They also preach about gated community this and security that.. ok that's why I had to stand outside my door with my pistol on my hip until someone arrived because a homeless guy walked in with his cart and was trying to open doors and peek in windows. the apartment itself is nice, with great finishes but don't let it fool you. We struggled with mold in our shower and when we told management they told us to buy a mold cleaner. We lived in an apartment with stains already all over the carpet, then they tried to charge us 435$ for carpet damages. When we moved out they charged us a ridiculous amount of money, then made a mistake with RPP paperwork. We were waiting for a refund, and my husband went in to ask where our refund was and the manager told him she was glad he came in because she was sending us to collections!! with NO notice, we had no clue! Come to find out, THEY wrote a mistake on our paperwork for RPP so we actually owed 0. They are incredibly unprofessional and just trying to snake your money. Its sad because its a nice apartment in a great location. We also struggled with them not cutting the grass in the back, it looked awful. Also, in the summertime at the pool- the staff never checks on if children are with parents, which they never are, and the kids run wild in there so if its a nice day.. STAY OUT! The gym is nice, but very small and kids always run in and out, and EVERYONE in the community comes and takes up parking spaces to play basketball until 10pm.
