I had a complete blockage of the sewer lateral to my Pleasant Hill residence. After I attempted, for two days, to open up the line with powerful chemicals, to no avail, I searched YELP and found ECHO. They had great ratings so I called and got a quote on the phone for them to run a snake into the line. It was very reasonable so I said OK. This was Friday evening and they came out at the agreed-to time on SATURDAY! ECHO's Chris called me in advance to confirm he was enroute, and he arrived right on time. Chris, a very pleasant young man, explained every step in detail, confirmed the price and answered all my 'what if' questions. After about an hour of effort, and about 60 feet of powered snake action, the blockage could not be opened, with the snake essentially bogged down. The possibly of a broken tile line was discussed. Chris had mentioned this in advance and suggested bringing in a powerful hydrojet system to attempt to blast the line open, describing the total task in detail including the insertion of a camera once the line was cleared as well a using a tracer to locate the line routing in case it had to be dug up for repairs. Since the snake action was unsuccessful he provided a significant price discount for this visit. The price for the high pressure purge, camera and tracing effort appeared reasonable so I said OK. At a time convenient to me, two trucks and a trailer with high pressure equipment arrived exactly on time on Monday, with Chris again calling in advance. After about an hour and a 2500 psi water jet the blockage was finally blown clear! Chris then ran a camera several times through the line, almost 100 feet to the main in the street. This after each successive re-run of the jet. I watched the video screen as Chris explained each new image. Thank goodness, no sewer line breakage but a large root intrusion located off my property (but my responsibility) in the street. The high pressure water blast removed it as well as some small, fine roots at other joint locations in the line. Chris, and the two other workers, worked for more than two hours to assure the line was clear for, hopefully, the next year or two. I'm totally satisfied with ECHO, their team, their effort, the pricing, promptness and the results. And Chris was fantastic, with his detailed explanations and very friendly demeanor!
