They advertise the Procar Rally seat conversion as a complete kit which includes seats sliders and brackets which adapt the seat to the Camaro bolt configuration. The pictures and the description both refer to the brackets as inclusive; however, they did not send them. When a missing hardware request was submitted, a rep named Amy E. initially attributed the inconsistency to the manufacturer and essentially dismissed my claim. But I was able to talk to a rep named Joe who took my dilemma forward to a supervisor and they made good to provide the brackets. Shouldn't have had to work this hard to get what was advertised but grateful to Joe and Ecklers for finally taking responsibility. read more

impossible to deal with, expect extremely long hold times( 1-2 hrs easy), almost every order will have an excruciating long backorder. you will NEVER get a call back or email to update your order. Please try a smaller outlet with actual knowledgeable people with experience to guide you. I will aslo add the return process is equally painful and slow. I'd leave ZERO stars if I could. Placed an order nearly A YEAR AGO which they couldn't fulfill because the parts weren't available. (So why were they marked 'in stock' on the website?) I asked that it be cancelled. No Problem Here we are today I have been charged for my order and I'm being shipped a load of parts that I have already got elsewhere. I can't afford the $500+ especially for stuff I do not need. I ordered a $700 gas tank for a 70-72 Camaro on March 31, 2023. While installing it today (7/12/23) , I noticed it does not fit. Upon looking at the package, there is one BIG sticker on there that states the item in which I purchased (1970-1973 Camaro Sniper Coated Steel EFI Gas Tank) There is also a smaller sticker (75-77 Camaro & 75-78 Firebird EFI Fuel Tank Kit). I was sent the wrong one. I talked with customer service who stated that the return policy is 30 days. Upon further viewing of the website, it states, "Eckler's standard return policy is 30 days from delivery. We do recognize that restoration projects take time though and that purchases aren't always used immediately, and so in some cases extended returns may be available for store credit." All I asked was for an exchanging of the CORRECT fuel tank. As with restoration projects, it takes months to years to complete. They failed to honor what I purchased in the first place. read more

I ordered a complete cradle kit rack and pinion for a 57 Chevy from them. There were not enough instructions to complete the job, and after contacting Flaming River Co. several times, I figured out that I needed to buy tie rods ends for a 1967 Camaro to complete installing the rack and pinion. No where in the directions do they mention that you need to get those tie rod ends. There were several questions and phone calls to find information and they just made the work harder and harder to complete. Most of my questions were answered from Flaming River not Eckler's were I purchased the kit. I finally completed the assembly to only find out that the power steering pump that came with the kit is NO GOOD. I have called them several times and have written to them several times to address the issue that I need a new pump from them, but no one has ever answered me. At this point, I spent $2,600.00 for the kit and have no car to drive. They took my money to purchase the kit, and now they don't even know who I am. Don't deal with these guys. I don't have any idea what I am going to do, but I do need to get a new steering pump somewhere in order to drive my car. I have bought many parts from them before but they don't care much about their customers. If you buy from them, remember what I told you if you need them, they won't be there for you. read more

if you can get a part somewhere else, DO IT! based on my experiences you will be sorely disappointed if you use these people. like any autoparts company, with autoparts there numerous opportunities for things to go wrong...however what you need is a company that knows how to handle those situations. ecklers auto parts/macs auto parts (same company) USED to be a company that could correct the shipping or wrong part issues that normally arise when ordering a part. NOT ANY MORE. i have gotten a few of the old staff customer service reps, but the new supervisors and reps could care less about fixing a problem, such as the wrong part or defective part being sent. here's obstacle course i had to jump thru dealing with an expedited order that was first sent to a wrong address, then when it arrived, it was a part that was wrongly listed on their duplicate website as being usable for my car: 1. customer service rep said i had made a mistake and needed to pay to send the part back. 2. after checking the customer service rep admitted the part was listed for different car on their duplicate websites, but that i still had to pay to send the part back. 3. i asked to speak to a supervisor and after 10 minutes on hold the customer service rep said she had checked with her supervisor, and the answer was the same, i had to pay to send it back. 4. i repeated i wanted to speak directly to the supervisor, and had to wait another 10 minutes to speak to them. 5. supervisor made excuses for the customer service rep, and stated that the website showed i had ordered the wrong part. i directly stated that was incorrect, and she agreed to check on both websites. she found out the part was described as for the wrong car on one of the websites. apologized, and said she would have the correct part sent out at no cost. i would not have to ship the other part back. 6. the new part would go out expedited shipping, but i would still be receiving it over a week after it should have arrived under the $35 expedited shipping i had paid for. because it would be over a week late, i asked that my $35 expedited shipping charge be refunded. she refused saying that at her supervisor level she could not do that. i had to ask her to ask HER supervisor to approve refunding my $35 expedited shipping charge, seeing that i was getting the item a week late. she said she would check. 7. i will spare you the additional 20 minutes on the phone in a hot parking lot about where to send the replacement part. they originally had the wrong address in their system because they had changed shippers, which is still referenced on their website, but they use a NEW shipper so they needed to know that address. this item had been sent out to the wrong shipper's address for me to pick up, which had to be changed mid shipment. i told the supervisor to look up the address they had sent this part to (the new shipper's pick up station) since i did not have it on me (i was on my cell phone)...she had no idea how to find out where the heck they had sent the part. after another 10 minutes she came back and figured out how to find out where her company had sent the part. she apologized. i told her i was going to write a yelp review on this nightmare. if you had the misfortune of reading all this, remember i had the misfortune of living it on a cell phone in a hot L.A. parking lot for about an hour. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE IF YOU CAN HELP IT unless, from my experience, you wish to go through this nightmare. NOTE: NEVER EVER NEVER in the past did i have these issues with this company. i have ordered thousands of dollars of parts, and of course there were similar mistakes made but they were quickly and expertly handled. not denying things, not knowing how to do things. not trying to charge me the customer for their mistakes. this company is horrible. read more

I agree with many that have placed a negative review. Customer service makes you feel as if you the customer doesn't know what going on. My case is simple I'm restoring a 1967 Camaro and have ordered several parts from several vendors including this one. The last order I place I ordered replacement shocks for the front and rear which are 2 each. They sent one each for front and rear and the others were back ordered for two more months minimal. Attempted to cancel my order and return items for my $ back and customer service was rude, not helpful and made me feel not welcomed. The packing slip does explain the steps for returns but I have chosen to just not deal with this ungrateful company anymore. This place requires immediate restructuring for better service and knowledge of what inventory levels are. read more

Wow, coming in here to see the reviews makes me feel a little better about the one I'm about to leave. My husband has literally spent thousands with this company. His senior car buddy who doesn't have a computer has a well. I have placed their purchases for them and most recently purchased a floor pan from their ebay store. Not only when the pan came was it of the worst quality it also had a note on the box that is was a return from another buyer. I initiated the return and messaged them at the same time. The return was accepted but they charged me $50 to send it back. I messaged them again through Ebay and they asked if I could send photos (which I had already and replied that). They never replied after that. Today as a last ditch effort I sent another message asking for my refund of $50 and was immediately responded to by "JT" no that they had already closed out my return. As a small business owner I feel leaving reviews like this should always be a last ditch effort and to always give the business an opportunity to rectify the situation. I also tried calling them today giving them yet another chance and after 42 minutes on hold hung up. I know the struggles of a small business and even more during covid but there was no reason I had to pay $50 to send back something that was defectively sent to me in the first place. read more
