This place has potential but there are some kinks to work out. The service was friendly but the entire operation was so slow, set aside a lot of time. The brunch fries (poutine with 2 eggs on top) was a great idea but wasn't hot when served. The cheese curds were cold and not even a little melted, the gravy was incredibly salty, the fresh cut fries would have been great if hot. Their sausage was excellent, clearly hand shaped patties. Stopped here on a whim and so glad we did! The outside would not have brought us in but do not judge this book by it's cover! Service was great and our waitress was very nice. The food was sooooo good. We ordered the deviled eggs, mozzarella sticks and the mushrooms (OMG!) for appetizers. I then ordered the mushroom sandwich with fruit and it hit the spot. Very fresh! Our family lives in Toledo, so we've been driving past this closed up retro little diner for years...and we were so surprised that one day - it was open! We stopped in for lunch one weekend on our way home. It was very much a diner. Burgers, fries, homemade pie. I really liked it! I had a patty melt that was juicy and cheesy and delicious and the fries were crisp and piping hot. My husband got some spicy mac n' cheese - it was really rich, but tasty. I've lived in Delaware for four years and I have always hoped something would open back up in the cool old roadside diner. Unfortunately this business' hours are 7-3. I just happened to be off work today and took one of the only opportunities I'd have to visit here. Inside was very clean and had the classic diner style. The menu has a mix of breakfast and lunch dishes. They also have several baked goods and milkshakes to choose from. I enjoyed my portobello and avocado sandwich. The bread was toasty and had a nice sweetness to it. It came with fries and a pickle. I do wish my fries were crispier. My husband ordered chorizo fries and they were really good even for the fries not being crispy enough. It did take a little long to get our food but since they just opened I looked past that. I'd like to go back and try more dishes but since it's only open 7-3 I'm afraid I'll never make it back with my work schedule. read more

We went for breakfast. I had the sausage gravy and breakfast potatoes with a scrambled egg. I think the scrambled eggs were from a container. Avoid the breakfast potatoes at all cost. They aren't fried and are basically just unseasoned boiled whole red potatoes. My friend had the biscuit and liked it. I've heard their lunches are good. read more

Had a delightful lunch experience here this past week with my mother (age 101). She was overwhelmed by the menu choices, and the waitress sensitively suggested that she might find items on the kids' menu of interest, as well. My mother selected the kids' mac & cheese and fresh fruit and was delighted. I had the beet and goat cheese salad, and it was simply wonderful! We both look forward to going back, next time for breakfast. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant ... and made for a perfect lunch. Went here with a friend to enjoy some conversation and a light meal. Waited over 10 minutes to be seated. Several other patrons showed up and we just tried to stay out of everyone's way while we waited. We were seated and looked over menu. A little surprised at the prices of items. I thought they were a bit overpriced.. most of the sandwiches and burgers didn't include fries, $2 extra if you wanted them. We each just ordered a few sides. I really enjoyed the breakfast potatoes. The French toast was tasty but nothing to rave about. I also had coffee which was supposed to be bottomless yet never got any refills. The server said she was getting it and never did..I had my cup on the edge of the booth for refills and she never filled it. I can't say the food was bad because I didn't try much but I'm not sure if I want to pay $10.99 for a patty melt w/o fries. I did like the diner ambience and I am glad this place is open again. May 17, 2022: best meal in central Ohio, let alone Delaware!! Salads were beautifully prepared and with FRESH, SEASONAL ingredients! One person in our group had a "scrambler" that looked great and was enough for two people. Service was excellent and restrooms clean. I found this place to be nice,clean & good service. Our only compliant was they fix their breakfast hashbrowns very weird. We all got large clumps of potatoes which looks like some forgot to slice. I've never had to cut my hashbrowns down before I could eat them. They weren't very good because they didnt get properly cooked all the he way through. I've never seen fried taters prepared in the in this manner. I would never order breakfast again unless I knew this was changed. read more

After being closed for quite a while, I saw that it had reopened as Eclectic Diner. My wife and I stopped in on a Saturday morning. We had to wait 5-10 minutes for a table. Waitress was nice. Coffee good. Food was very average. Service was SLOW!!! For two egg scrambles with potatoes and toast, we were there for an hour and 15 minutes. It would have been longer, but when the food came out I asked for to go coffee and the check. If the waitress wasn't so nice, this would have been 1 star. read more
