Do not waste your time or money here. The owner, Wesley/Wensley, is one of the rudest and most unprofessional business owners I have ever encountered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had a very disappointing experience at Eclipse Nail Bar today.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Before my appointment, I spoke with the front desk and explained that I have a bad toenail on my big toe and only needed acrylic applied because the nail had fallen off from a previous salon service. The employee looked at my toe, acknowledged the condition, and told me they would be able to assist me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also specifically requested a little privacy and asked if I could be seated away from others because I was already feeling self-conscious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After waiting approximately 20 minutes, I was taken to a chair by a technician. She looked at my toe and began speaking with other staff members. At that point, I noticed multiple people looking in my direction. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The same front desk employee then came over and, in a loud voice that others could hear, told me they would not be able to service me because of the condition of my nail and that I could return once the fungus was gone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I understand that salons have policies regarding certain nail conditions and have every right to refuse a service if they believe it is unsafe. My issue is not that they declined the service--it is how it was handled. I had already disclosed the condition upon arrival, and instead of addressing the situation privately and respectfully, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I felt singled out, humiliated, and embarrassed in front of other customers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A little compassion and professionalism would have gone a long way. I would not recommend for a regular-polish manicure - they kept pressuring me to switch to gel and made it a worse experience for these reasons: 1. They didn't wait long enough for each layer of paint to dry so it continued to smudge even hours after I left the salon. I told them this was a concern at the time and they said it was because it's regular polish (but everyone knows you need to let each layer dry before you add the next..). They also said that "gel wouldn't do that". Ok, but that doesn't mean I deserve dinged up nails..? 2. I asked for a design but they said they don't do designs with regular polish, only for gel. They said it would take too long to dry between each layer, but they rushed even the main polish layers drying anyways. 3. They used an almost-empty bottle of polish and had to add polish thinner to the bottle in order to have enough to finish my nails. The cuticle care / pedicure was fine other than that, though.. but pretty bummed my nails look smudged at the end of the same day. read more

I had departed for my trip already and I attempted to reach out to the salon. It's been more than a week with no response. I really like this location and appreciate the convenient hours. However, during my recent pedicure, I noticed the nail tech was reusing a nail file, which is a concern for sanitation. Given the prices and the owner's consistent presence, I expected more attention to hygiene practices, especially when they are diligent about charging for every detail. For the rates they charge, it would be reassuring to see a new, disposable nail file used for each client to match the level of service you would expect!!! I called ahead to make sure there wasn't a wait and was able to get an appointment within 10 minutes. As soon as I walked in, I was seated in one of the many pedicure chairs. The sweet nail technician (Cindy) showed me a menu for the different pedicure offerings and then quickly got to working on me. My calves were sore from wearing high heels the night before so of course I elected for the pedicure with the 10 minute massage. Bliss. I saw a bunch of ladies getting their sets in so I can't wait to return to try for myself. Some of the nail art I briefly glanced at looked amazing -- all art that was certainly Pinterest worthy. Trish is awesome and did a great job listening to my concerns regarding my nails. I had pretty much given up on having my nails done as no salon usually accommodates my request to not have the drill used on my natural nails. I have paper-thin nails (med reasons), that offer little to no buffer from drill so using one is super painful. My request is always to simply have builder gel placed over my natural nails. I came in for a pedicure with Trish. I came in originally for a French gel pedicure it's was going to be $65 I agreed to do it and she put a product on my nails to remove the previous gel but she BURNED MY SKINN!!! She was doing everything so fast she touched my skin and she burned my skin when I put my feet in the water the area around my toes was BURNINGGGG!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I told her it was burning and she just said it's okay and tried just putting them in the water again after and it was still burning[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Not going to lie, every time I come here I always leave with some design/color that I never wanted. I've been to this salon 3 times and this is my last time. The first time I got powder and their powder was very transparent, you can see your natural nails underneath. Second time I came and asked for a light green color and the powder wasn't even green. It was an off white color. The girl that did my nails convinced me that it was a nice color so I kept it because I did not want to wait another hour. Luckily the owner gave me a discount on those nails. Yesterday, I walked in and asked if they have any open slots for a full set design. Owner was able to fit me in however the first girl( Queenie) that did my nails was upset that he forced her to work because she needed to leave early. I spent 40 mins with her taking out her anger on my nails. She was so aggressive when she took off my old set and almost cut me. It was a painful experience. Not only that but she was complaining to her coworkers in Vietnamese that she didn't want to do this and needed to leave. She kept looking at her phone and messing up on my nails.. she couldn't put the powder on properly and kept taking it off 4 times. I felt so bad for her so I told her we can change the design to a simple French tip because she was clearly struggling.. In the end, I spoke to the owner and he let that employee go home and a different lady did my nails. I came at 4pm and it was already 4:45pm and none of my nails were done. I just wanted to leave so I asked her to do something nice and fast. She did my nails really nice but I am still upset because originally I wanted something else. Eclipse has a lot of stations and workers for both mani & pedis. They also have 2 small pedicure chairs for the kids. It feels very clean with their white tables and bright lights. They have a waiting area and also have nail colors displayed along the wall so you can select your color while waiting. Nail technicians are a hit or miss. If you find a good one get their name. I've had both good and bad techs. I don't like the techs that ask too much info (seems more nosey than small talk). Cost can add up especially if you add things like nail designs, but I feel like it's still very reasonable here. Once they're done they'll give you a receipt which you take to the front desk to pay. The front desk guys are always nice. There is a slight discount if you pay in cash but they also accept card. They also have an atm machine available inside for a fee if you want to withdraw cash. read more
