I went to Eclipse Nail Bar a week ago to get my nails done for a wedding over the weekend. My technician was Tiffany. I was so happy with the service and the result. I came in with a couple photos of how I wanted my nails to be done and a piece of fabric of the dress that I was going wear for the wedding. Tiffany patiently went over the photos and discussed the pros and cons to help me pick one. Then she picked the color that matched my dress the most. We decided to go with builder gel nails. Tiffany was professional, patient, and detail-attentive. She spent time drawing every single small flowers for me and fixed what I did not like. The results turned out to be amazing. It was elegant and cute at the same time. And the quality of the nails are beyond expectations. I am not the gentle type, and I have to do house chores. But none of the nails has broken so far. Not even a scratch. The surface is still glossy. I have a pit bull puppy who keeps on munching on my fingers, but the nails didn't have a scratch (of course I didn't purposely let the dog chew on it for a long time). The cost isn't low, of course. Do not waste your time or money here. The owner, Wesley/Wensley, is one of the rudest and most unprofessional business owners I have ever encountered. My 2-year-old was crying, and instead of showing any understanding, compassion, or professionalism, he told us to leave the salon. As if that wasn't bad enough, he then threatened that if we didn't leave immediately, he would also make my mom leave -- while she was in the middle of getting her nails done and paying for a service. The way he spoke to us was beyond disrespectful and completely unacceptable. No customer should ever be treated with that level of hostility, especially over a toddler crying. Life happens, kids cry, and the way he chose to handle it was cruel, embarrassing, and incredibly unprofessional. If this is how the owner treats paying customers and families, that says everything you need to know about this business. I would never recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of salons that know how to treat people with basic human decency and respect. This is not one of them. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at Eclipse Nail Bar today. Before my appointment, I spoke with the front desk and explained that I have a bad toenail on my big toe and only needed acrylic applied because the nail had fallen off from a previous salon service. The employee looked at my toe, acknowledged the condition, and told me they would be able to assist me. I also specifically requested a little privacy and asked if I could be seated away from others because I was already feeling self-conscious. After waiting approximately 20 minutes, I was taken to a chair by a technician. She looked at my toe and began speaking with other staff members. At that point, I noticed multiple people looking in my direction. The same front desk employee then came over and, in a loud voice that others could hear, told me they would not be able to service me because of the condition of my nail and that I could return once the fungus was gone. I understand that salons have policies regarding certain nail conditions and have every right to refuse a service if they believe it is unsafe. My issue is not that they declined the service--it is how it was handled. I had already disclosed the condition upon arrival, and instead of addressing the situation privately and respectfully, I felt singled out, humiliated, and embarrassed in front of other customers. A little compassion and professionalism would have gone a long way. No customer should be made to feel ashamed for a medical condition. read more

Being a little hesitant when it comes to new nail salons nowadays since ones I've gone to for a while start going down hill. However, Eclipse Nail Bar exceeded my expectations and more. From booking a last minute same day appointment to the entire experience. Nothing but positive things to say all around! The person who answered the phone was very helpful and accommodating! He warmed me that it does get busy after work and was able to book me the appointment no problems! Upon arriving, I was able to check in and seated at exactly my appointment time. That was the first green flag for me as I know other places like to overbook and I have to end up waiting for an appointment which was suppose to cut down wait times. Additionally, I really liked how the front desk and the staff that was doing my nails did not push me to get gel where I know other places will really be pushy and try to get more money out of you. Vy was the lady that did my pedicure and i was really impressed with how thorough she was. She definitely did not rush and took her time where I felt so relaxed and not worry whether the nails were going to look bad. At the end, she was able to check in with me to see if I liked it and if needed to fix anything. I paid with card but i didn't have cash for tip but the guy that helped me in the front/on the phone, who actually turned out to be the owner share the tip to ask the workers for their venmo to tip them! When I went to paid the person in charge ( a man) told me it's $95 dollars I said what!!!!? NO she said $65 and then he explained I think it's very important that the woman's said the true about PLUS $15 for GEL!! I feel scammed because when she shows me the paper the price was $65 but she cover the part ( I think ) that said plus $15 dollars I hate when a business like kinda hide fees !! Stopped by for a pedicure, and this place is truly a hidden gem! The salon is very clean with plenty of pedicure and manicure stations, and even on a Friday there was no wait. I was greeted by the owner, who was incredibly sweet and welcoming. Judy did my pedicure, and she was so gentle with my toes while shaping them perfectly. I booked an appointment online a few days ago for a morning appointment on Saturday to get dip nails, they had plenty of time options available and the booking process was easy and did not require a credit card. The parking lot is busy because it shares a lot with Chavez grocery, buy me sandwiches and 24 hour fitness, but it was actually fairly easy to find a parking spot . The gentleman who I believe is the owner welcomed me, asked what I was looking for, and I explained the end goal that I wanted with my nails and knowing what they could do, he was able to advise, communicate that with a technician and payment at the end was consistent with what we had talked about. The space itself is very clean, feels and appears new and up-to-date . My technician Hannah was very kind and sweet and fun to talk to. She did an excellent job on my nails and took good care of my hands (some places or text can be kind of rough with the movements or the file) The overall experience was super positive. There were a decent amount of people in there several of them we're with a friend or family member and we're clearly regulars, enjoy their time in the salon. Can't say enough about how gorgeous my nails turned out As a first-time customer, I didn't expect my nail tech to match the exact Pinterest design I brought (photo 1), though it would have been great if she could get close--especially since I wanted a little extra for my birthday month. But Quyen, my nail tech, was so sweet and dedicated that I was absolutely stunned by the result. She has style for sure cuz I let her do everything she wants, and my nails turned out even more beautiful than the photo I showed her! Customer service appears nice with the man in front managing the business. However, the workers here are not skilled from the two times I went. Three years apart, I had both totally horrible experiences. I gave it another try out of convenience, quite regretfully. My nails were filed down to a painfully thin layer, the tools hit my skin numerous times, and my nails were left scratchy and uneven. I didn't even let the manicurist finish my manicure, that's how bad it was. I asked for square but not sharp edges. She gave me almond nails. I was really upset because I never, ever have asked for almond or even oval shaped nails ever. I pointed it out and she did a half-effort job fixing them. At my professional healthcare job later that day, my patients actually complained that my nails were hurting and literally scratching their skin. Once again, I drove a little further to my reliable nail salon in Campbell and she saves the day. Twice, I've tried Eclipse and both times have been excruciatingly painful, thinly buzzed down nails, and with ugly, sharp filing shapes. The workers are not skilled at all here. I will not return here ever again. Even coming in a second time was a gamble, and they still fumbled it. read more

My first visit in this store today and very happy with the result I did read some review before I decided to make appt with Trish. Like everyone else said. She's very nice and patient. Listened carefully to my concerns of my flimsy original nail and trying to use builder gel to help my original nail to grow out longer. She worked on my hand very gently, which is much appreciated (I have had incidents that I bleed from a very harsh filing) For style, I showed her a sample picture of what I'm looking for which is a light pink base color with chrome tips. She used her best judgement on picking the perfect color for me. And I got what I asked for! Very cute and very natural that compliments my skin color, looks perfect in every angle. will come back to her for sure The guy in the front (possibly manager?) is also very friendly and nice. With that being said, I'm quickly reminded WHY I no longer come here. *** See pictures attached. *** I paid $88 total for a $63 pedi + $15 gel + $10 tip. WHYYYYY am I paying almost $90 for a pedicure that looks like this AND when she cut me, she didn't disinfect it at all, she just put my foot back into the water!! I had to say something for her to spray my toe with alcohol!! They were so rough with my feet. I came to relax and give my feet some TLC. I ended up leaving like I got into a violent paint fight with Picasso!! Although the environment is friendly, the lady who started my pedicure was accidentally double booked -- she barely had my feet soaking in water for 10 mins, cut a few pieces of skin off, got up, & I got a different technician because she had her appointment, she handed me a slip for $25....????? I would not recommend for a regular-polish manicure - they kept pressuring me to switch to gel and made it a worse experience for these reasons: 1. They didn't wait long enough for each layer of paint to dry so it continued to smudge even hours after I left the salon. I told them this was a concern at the time and they said it was because it's regular polish (but everyone knows you need to let each layer dry before you add the next..). They also said that "gel wouldn't do that". Ok, but that doesn't mean I deserve dinged up nails..? 2. I asked for a design but they said they don't do designs with regular polish, only for gel. They said it would take too long to dry between each layer, but they rushed even the main polish layers drying anyways. 3. They used an almost-empty bottle of polish and had to add polish thinner to the bottle in order to have enough to finish my nails. The cuticle care / pedicure was fine other than that, though.. but pretty bummed my nails look smudged at the end of the same day. read more

I went in for a mani/pedi on a Tuesday afternoon. I upgraded my hand polish to gel so that it would last longer. In less than 2 days my polish was peeling off. I had departed for my trip already and I attempted to reach out to the salon. It's been more than a week with no response. A week after I would have understood but not even 2 days and it was chipping off? By day 4 I had no color left. Totally unreasonable and the lack of follow through even worse. Clean, quick, and reasonably priced. I was in the shopping center picking up groceries for dinner and had a bit of time for a quick pedicure. I called ahead to make sure there wasn't a wait and was able to get an appointment within 10 minutes. As soon as I walked in, I was seated in one of the many pedicure chairs. The sweet nail technician (Cindy) showed me a menu for the different pedicure offerings and then quickly got to working on me. My calves were sore from wearing high heels the night before so of course I elected for the pedicure with the 10 minute massage. Bliss. I saw a bunch of ladies getting their sets in so I can't wait to return to try for myself. Some of the nail art I briefly glanced at looked amazing -- all art that was certainly Pinterest worthy. I really like this location and appreciate the convenient hours. However, during my recent pedicure, I noticed the nail tech was reusing a nail file, which is a concern for sanitation. Given the prices and the owner's consistent presence, I expected more attention to hygiene practices, especially when they are diligent about charging for every detail. For the rates they charge, it would be reassuring to see a new, disposable nail file used for each client to match the level of service you would expect!!! And let's not talk about cross-contamination !!!! so ladies be careful. I didn't realize it until after I got off my phone and looked down when she was almost done.
