Sadly my time going here has come to an end . Hasn't even been 1 day and my gel manicure has chipped.i walked out with a cut and im 8 months pregnant so if it were to get infected who knows what could happen . The vibe was kinda off and I felt very rushed instead of being able to relax and chill and enjoy the pedicure & manicure .

I want to start by saying I've come here many times before and have never had any issues, which is why this experience was surprising and disappointing. On Friday afternoon, March 6th, I paid $80 for a set of Gel X nails. Unfortunately, not even 24 hours later, three of them popped off. I went back to the salon and explained what happened, and they did fix those nails, which I appreciated. However, since then another three nails have popped off, and the salon is closed on Sundays so I haven't been able to go back in. At this point, six nails have come off in less than three days, which is really frustrating especially after paying $80 for the set. I've barely even had the chance to enjoy them. I've always had good experiences here in the past, so I'm hoping this was just a one-time issue. I would really appreciate the salon reaching out and making this right.

Used to get my nails done here when I went to SJSU and 10 years later they're still amazing! Julie did this cute chrome cateye set in less than an hour. Showed her my inspo pic and she was easily able to create this with her own style. Would definitely travel from SF again the next time I want to get cute design for a reasonable price :)

I come to Color Nails Salon every time I'm in San Jose. They are truly the best fast and great customer service every time. They never disappoint.

I wish the pictures I took gave this set justice but everytime I get my nails done with an inspiration photo, my nails come out way better than the inspo. The nail techs never fail to make my nails look fabulous. I love coming here, they are so friendly, give quality work and are decently priced. I will be back for my next set

I went in with a picture I found and Pinterest and they did not disappoint! My nails came out gorgeous with the perfect almond shape. Walking in to Color Nails is always a treat. Everyone is warm and welcoming. The store itself is bright and is lacking the acetone smell you get at some salons which was refreshing. They offer drinks as well, though I didn't get one this time, last time I got a mimosa. Color Nails may be my new go to nail salon!

Designs by Anh and Thao are always amazing! I can't recommend Color Nails enough. You can always get in with little to no wait, and everyone there is incredibly friendly. Steve, the owner, keeps everything running smoothly and organized (and even does karaoke, which keeps the vibes fun and upbeat). They always offer you a drink, take their time with your service, and make sure everything is done thoroughly. Best of all, my nails last a full 4 weeks every time. read more

Always a great vibe when I come to color nails, especially if Steve is there. I came in and got seated for nails right away. My nail tech was very helpful and informative. I am picky about shape, length, and apex. She helped me decide between outline and French tips. I waited a little while for my pedi because they were super busy (they are the best in San Jose so I didn't mind waiting). I didn't give 5 stars because my pedicure lady wasn't the friendliest and gave me a hard time because I didn't want my toe nails cut down to the skin. Seemed like because I said something she was rougher than usual. Other than that I 10/10 recommend color nails for vibes, great nails, beautiful pedi, and fast service. read more

Color Nails never fails in accomplishing my vision. This is the only salon I ever come to get my acrylics done because I know I will be guaranteed a nice, good quality set. They always nail (no pun intended) the shape and designs, always making sure you like it before they continue. I am so obsessed with my nails!! Shoutout to Quynh for being so nice and patient in mixing colors to get the exact colors I wanted. Will definitely be requesting her as my nail tech each time I go in. read more

I get busy with work so I never know when i'm available, but this place accepts walk ins and i'm always seated immediately. Very disappointing experience. I have been going to Thao for a while now, and she always does an excellent job. Her work lasts, and I've never had issues when she does my nails. A few days ago, I went in for a full set, but Thao wasn't there. She recommended me to another technician, I believe letter J. At first, the nails looked nice, but I did notice they were very thin. I brushed it off, thinking it would be okay. Unfortunately, 3-4 days later my nails started chipping--not just the polish, but the acrylic itself, which has never happened to me before. I went back, and she fixed the polish, but while filing it down, she did not reapply any acrylic. The next day, one of the bows fell off, so I had to go back again. Then today, my pinky nail completely broke. This time, I was helped by letter H, who explained that it would be $10. I explained everything that had already happened and honestly felt I shouldn't have to pay, considering a full set here is over $100. I'm willing to pay that price for Thao because her work lasts--but this set didn't even last a week. Letter H did admit that the nails were applied too thin and even said that's why they were breaking. He did a much better job fixing the nail today, and you can clearly see the difference on my pinky compared to the others. However, all nine other nails are still very thin, and I know I'll have to pay again to get them redone properly. I'm glad the immediate issue was fixed, but overall I'm very upset that I wasted my money. A full set should never look or break like this within one week. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. read more

We started our business in 2011, over the years we have grown to be one of the busiest salon in the San Jose area. We recently expanded to a new beautiful spacious salon next door and the response has been tremendous thanks to all our loyal clients and their referral.

Meet the Manager: Steve N.

Steve is usually the person who will greet you and ask you what you need and get you seated. On top of that, she dipped the brush with a lot of powder when usually its supposed to be a little at a time. My nails came out at an uneven color. In addition, usally dip powder nails are $35. Tell me why my nails came out to be $45? (I tipped $5 totalling $50). Did they charge me for the length or something because I was never told that but it was partly my fault too since I didn't ask. But where did the price come from? The cost for the shape? Well certainly the shape doesn't look like the skinny coffin I wanted. The employee looked at my toe, acknowledged the condition, and told me they would be able to assist me. I also specifically requested a little privacy and asked if I could be seated away from others because I was already feeling self-conscious. After waiting approximately 20 minutes, I was taken to a chair by a technician. She looked at my toe and began speaking with other staff members. At that point, I noticed multiple people looking in my direction. The same front desk employee then came over and, in a loud voice that others could hear, told me they would not be able to service me because of the condition of my nail and that I could return once the fungus was gone. I understand that salons have policies regarding certain nail conditions and have every right to refuse a service if they believe it is unsafe. My issue is not that they declined the service--it is how it was handled. I had already disclosed the condition upon arrival, and instead of addressing the situation privately and respectfully, I felt singled out, humiliated, and embarrassed in front of other customers. A little compassion and professionalism would have gone a long way. No customer should be made to feel ashamed for a medical condition.

I recently had an ingrown toenail (my first ever in 33 years) after my latest visit but the owner was quick to help communicate this with the nail tech doing my pedicure so it doesn't happen again. This made me feel very understood and respected as a regular customer here. The owner also tries to remember the regulars at the salon and always offer a warm welcoming, which is very nice of her. They offer a discount for cash payments, but also accept Venmo (even for tips) while credit card has a small charge. I think their prices are very reasonable and definitely cheaper than the last salon I went to before switching to Pedi Nail Lounge. There is a large shared parking lot in front so plenty of parking nearby. I also like that there is a coffee shop (Blvd coffee), food spot (Chispiro's) and Lucky Grocery store right next door that makes the location extremely convenient for me. 5/5 , definitely recommend if you're looking for a new nail salon

That's the reason I keep coming back. Unfortunately, the scheduling and appointment management have become really frustrating. Almost every time I book with a specific technician, I don't actually get the person I requested. On top of that, even with an appointment, I regularly wait 30-45 minutes past my scheduled time before getting started. What should be a normal appointment turns into me being there for close to 3.5 hours. I also feel bad for the technicians because they seem overbooked and overwhelmed. The salon accepts so many walk-ins that the staff barely gets a break, and it affects the overall experience for both customers and employees. I truly want to continue supporting this business because the work itself is excellent, but I hope management improves scheduling, honors technician requests, and stops overbooking appointments.

I do not think they keep track of appointments and, if they do, I simply cannot imagine how. I have tried texting and the response I get every time is "ok", even if I ask a question in my appointment request. I've tried making an appointment online and the appointment slots are always available and open, which can't be true. While in the salon, I've seen them answer the phone when someone calls to make an appointment, they are always on speakerphone, and I have never seen anyone write anything down after the phone call, they say ok and then just continue to work. Out of the 5 or 6 times I've been here I have only been seen at the time of my appointment once. Once! I am often waiting 30-45 mins and I stay because I have a very tight schedule and make appointments on the only days I can. I'm currently sitting waiting for my 5:00 appointment and it is 5:40 and there are 5 others also waiting, though I don't know what time their appointments are or were. (At 5:06 my manicurist asked me to wait 15 mins and I said fine....but I ended up leaving at 5:45 because she was doing someone's pedicure.) I have always been happy with the services I've received here and their prices are reasonable, which are the reasons for the 2 stars, but I simply will not be back due to their constant lack of respect of "appointment times".

I am never coming back here again. They keep moving you around from one seat to another. It's like there's no value to you. Whatever happened to customer service. The man doing my nails kept ask me what I want. Shape color. Design. Diamond everything. I said ok let me think for a second while your shaping them. HE WOULD NOT LET ME THINK!!! He kept talking and talking and it felt like he was doing it on purpose or trying to be funny. Regardless. I politely asked him to stop so I can figure it out. And he still wouldn't. So I said "I can not think if you keep talking to me". So I asked him to make my nails medium short and square. He made them soooo short. It bothered me but I said whatever it's ok. After he's done shaping he moves me to the coloring lady. Now I'm not a pro but I do know that nail polish generally goes on the whole nail. This lady was in such a rush she missed the bottoms and corners. Then guess what happened. Oh yea. I GET MOVED again to the designs lady. (Which is another wait btw) I told the man in charge and he called the lady who did my nail polish. I told her I was not happy with the way she colored then and she said NOTHING. JUST STARED AT ME. did not even offer to fix it. I got so frustrated I just said forget this. I got up. And paid my bill. The boss gave me a $5 discount for a design I never got. So it wasn't really a discount. I told him I'm never coming here again. And the nerve of this guy to whisper under his break "we offer to fix". NO! Nobody offered to fix. Your employee just stared at me like I'm crazy! Anyways. Save your money go somewhere else. read more

I use to go here all the time with my sister and the workers were great and our nails were always good an they didn't rush. I recently started going back an i had angelina do my first set and i loved them, i went back and got a fill from two different people one took the polish off an the other painted the new color on and i was literally in there maybe 20 minutes and they were horrible. The color coat was way too light and she didn't fix the shape of my nails or anything. I went in today to try an see angelina again an give it one more try since i really did use to love coming here and they refused me because my daughter was with me. I'm sorry but just because you don't know my name is not a reason to refuse me. Every time i've came before there are little girls getting their nails painted or sitting waiting for their moms and you know the mothers names. So just because you don't know my name your going to refuse my service and look at me like "what the F" can i help you with look. This nail salon has lost my service! I've come in a few times for simple manicures, but today I actually asked for a design. If you're walking in, ask for Sandy. She was a sweet lady who shaped my nails perfectly. Often times I feel like I have to go home and refine the shape because salons don't spend enough time on the filing, but Sandy made sure they were not only uniform but there wasn't any stuff left behind UNDERneath the nail. I initially just wanted to remove my old gel x manicure from somewhere else, but I was persuaded to get a manicure too. After showing her a reference photo, she offered some tweaks to keep the design within my budget while still looking cute. She did my nails like she was doing her own nails. With lots of care and attention to detail. This salon is a very typical Viet nail shop, so please be kind to the ladies if you cannot speak Viet. I've never been here before but Instagram & Facebook people are posting up their work everywhere! Don started on my nails ... Very nice man ! & funny too. Boss lady was awesome , she was so respectful to us ... Me and my friend were waiting for queenie to design our nails & she got us water and felt bad that we waited long & kept apologizing . That's how you should act as a boss ! There was a particular worker that wasn't so respectful .. Think his name is Andy .. EXTREMELY RUDE and Racist! The manager is rude and disrespects the customers when they are not satisfied with the service that they are paying for. A good manager would simply value their customers and try to make them as happy as possible. The manager also argues back and forth with customers via instagram, not professional at all. Yes, the prices are cheap; but the customer service is horrible. The manager has anger problems. The workers at this nail salon think it is ok to disrespect their customers. If you read he reviews a lot of people have been complaining about how rude the manager and the employees are. If it was not for the customers then this business wouldn't be anything, we make this place popular therefore they need to respect us. I'm also reporting this place to the Better Business Bureau. Had to get my nails done for the annual family Thanksgiving pow wow!!! I was immediately greeted by Steve!!! He was super sweet and so is his wife Snow, who did my Shellac Color nails. It is very rare to find a nail salon that has someone that speaks perfect English to greet and help you make a decision because I am so bad deciding for myself. I think they are the new owners, because I have not experience such great customer service in the past. I didn't see the airbrush lady, that is always so rude and loud! Everyone seems more relax and pleasant. Snow was extremely thorough and gentle with my nails, unlike many other tech and places that I have gotten done with b4... She cleaned and prep all my cuticles. I even had a cute 3D bow placed on my two ring fingers. All for$25, very reasonable There are tons of designs to choose from... Came here yesterday. The service was good but the quality of their work is bad. I got a gel set with white tips. My nails aren't as wide but once they finished. It looks very wide and uneven compared to my other hand. I chose 2 3D designs which took them forever to do because the lady kept messing up so I kept asking her to redo it. When the designs were done. It looked okay.. Not as pretty as other places I've been to. Only a day went by and one nail is starting to come off already. the price is cheap and affordable but now I know why.. This was the 3rd time I came here. All 3 times it didn't look very nice. I kept going back thinking that maybe the next person I choose would be better but all their work seems the same. It sucks! I have FINALLY found my regular, go-to nail place. First of all, no one can compete with the excellent prices offered here. You will not burn a giant hole in your pocket. Secondly, the quality of work is outstanding for the price you pay. I'm extremely picky and exact with how I like my nails done and Steve and the ladies will listen and accomodate you until you are satisfied. They don't make you feel awkward or that you're taking up their time either, they just want you to get exactly what you want. That's huge for me. Queenie gave me exactly what I asked for and does amazing designs, Tina was a sweetheart and gave me a precise, well-done manicure, and Steve is very professional and accomodating. A friend recommended me to this place. When I got here, it looked just like all the other asian nail salons. I walked in and I was surprised at how busy they were on a Friday afternoon. There was one seat left at the pedi station so I got service right away. There were a lot of workers there and some were just sitting around and chatting with each other. The prices are really cheap. $16 bucks for my pedi and I added flowers for an additional $5 because the pedi was already so cheap. They do the whole leg massage thing and they even massage your shoulders which I refused. The lady that helped me was really nice. Overall I had a pretty good experience. This nail salon is managed by an arrogant prick. I waited, with a number, for two hours while they shuffles people around and lied to me several times about the order of which people came in. The time of my wait kept extending. Then I was finally sat down at a station where the NAIL TECHNICIAN WAS ON HIS F***** LUNCH!!!! As soon as you walk in it is very overwhelming, The guy at the entrance grabbed my hand and placed a numbered sticker on it. He then told me to sit and wait.. the salon was packed. Very fast paced environment. I felt very rushed to choose my nail shape and color. The technician didn't really ask me what I wanted she did her own thing. it felt like I was in a factory assembly line. Not relaxing at all! i don't think i'd ever come back as I want to enjoy my nail service in a calm and relaxing environment. What an amazing experience . I love this place . They do a genuinely good job . They pamper you like a prince and after a long week of work that's all we need . I did my nails with Mai this past Wednesday and she did an amazing job . She did exactly what I asked for and in a timely Manner . Been living out here for a few months now and was very nervous to try a new nail place. After going on yelp, most places out here seemed a little sketchy until I came across Color Nails. I have gone here three times now and have never left disappointed. The salon is huge which is nice, most of the time you are able to walk right in. The owner I believe it is can be a little aggressive at times, but this place is great. They are super face which is a plus and have a huge selection of nail colors as well as the price being just right!! Oh and they also only take cash which is a bummer read more

This is my first time here and thank goodness I found this place! I made an appointment request on yelp at 10PM the night before and Susan messaged me an hour later (11PM) confirming my appointment the for the next day! That already was great customer service, I didn't expect to hear from her until the next day! When I went in, all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. This is also the first time I tried a dip powder and nail extensions. Shout out to Kim for making a beautiful ombré manicure and Angie for a wonderful & clean pedi I'll definitely be back! read more

I came to this nail salon for the first time, and I was super impressed! I was seated right away, and the whole session only took about an hour for a full set of acrylics with designs--which is amazing considering how detailed the work was. The quality definitely didn't suffer from the quick service. The inside of the salon is really pretty, creating a relaxing vibe while you're getting your nails done. And the best part? I paid less than $80 for everything, which feels like a steal for the level of service and detail. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

I returned to Color Nails today to see Anh again and was pleasantly surprised. I was seated right away and offered drinks while I waited for Anh to come over. As expected, she did an amazing job on my fill and even fixed the shape from my previous set. The designs were affordable, and I really appreciated the discount they offered as a customer service gesture. I'm happy we were able to fix the issues from my last visit, and I'll definitely be returning to see Anh again. Thank you, Color Nails, for your excellent customer service! read more

I love this place! I've been coming here for the past six months for a shellac mani and I always leave very satisfy. My absolute favorite here is Paul, no matter how hectic it gets my nails always come out perfect! From my experience, the owner is pretty friendly as well, and very patient with his customers so if you have any questions dont hestiate to ask him. It is always busy here so its best to go early or during the weekdays, or you might have to wait awhile. I highly recommend this place! read more

I love this place . It was completely packed but they where able to help me out like if the place where empty . If I can recall correctly Julie was the one who helped me out this past Saturday . I got married and they made the process of getting my nails done stress free. They did an amazing job . I did my nails , toes and although I was weary at first my eye brows and everything came out better than I expected . I definitely became a regular after Saturday . I recently moved down to the Bay Area from Colorado. I was looking for a place close to home (walking distance) to get my nails done. I came across this place and I couldn't not come in. Looking at their picture of designs, and reviews I knew I had to give it a try. The only thing I can possible complain about is just the waiting time, I can never seem to guess the perfect time to walk in without having to wait, the owner is great, and the staff is super friendly.
