Out of all the bids I received, this company's proposal was the most expensive. Unfortunately, my experience went beyond pricing. During the site visit, the contractor struck our HOA entry gate and caused damage. I asked for his account of the incident and shared it with the HOA. After reviewing their security camera footage, the HOA advised me that the events shown on the video did not match the explanation I had been given. Eco recently replaced our aging AC and gas furnace with a new heat pump, as well as new ductwork and two new vent cut-ins, and we couldn't be happier heading into a hot Valley summer. This review is long overdue for what was a pleasant and memorable experience. I wanted a mini split installed on the second floor in my master bedroom due to poor insulation between my garage and master. Creating a "hotspot." I had been on the fence about it. But I couldn't tolerate the uneven heating and cooling of the master anymore. So, I did a qoute search on Yelp and at the end of it all, Eco Heating and Cooling came through with the most competitive price for labor! I had a budget in mind and they matched it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The owner personally came to my home and discussed my needs and plan for the project.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We agreed on price for labor if I provide materials. Within a week of meeting, his crew of two came to my site and installed the mini split over six hours! The project was a massive success and I couldn't have been happier with the professionalism and ease of doing business with them. If you plan on hiring only labor for your project, always get more supplies than what you think you will need. At no fault to the crew, I was unprepared for the amount of material I would need. Due to the distance between the ground and the second floor, the mini split didn't come with enough condensation tubing as well as connection wire. So I had to track those down day of to get the project done. If I hadn't underestimated materials, the job probably would have got done sooner. After about two weeks of research and reaching out to four HVAC companies - two local in Ventura County and two from San Fernando Valley, we decided to go with Eco Heating and Cooling. Not necessarily going for the cheapest one (because you get what you pay for) but was after the following factors before making our decision: (1) Company reputation - Has to be a company who's been in the business for a long time but at the same time has great customer feedback and reviews. (2) Reasonable Pricing - Not cheap but obviously not too expensive as well. Eco's pricing came out to be a reasonable one with the system that we wanted. The other two were too expensive while another one who came in as the cheapest was home-based so we were concerned about future support. (3) Presentable, Professional and Not Too Pushy Company Rep - In fairness all four reps who came to our house to do the free estimates were professional and explained the pros and cons based on what we needed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Brandon stood out because he spent time explaining our options and he was flexible and was keen on offering a better package than the others.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Eli, who I first talked to over the phone, also sounded very keen to win my business (we did not feel that from the other companies, its like they dont care).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (4) Clean and Orderly Decom and Installation - The crew came on time and went straight to work. Protected our carpet with rags, did not damage any wall during the decom and installation. They also cleaned up after their work and hauled away the old unit as well as all the trash. (5) Quality and State/City Compliance - The work quality is great, the lines were neatly wrapped (see pictures) , the units were leveled. I'm still pending inspection so we will see if its compliant but having a recent install on my other house, I'm confident this will pass inspection. Overall, we highly recommend Eco Heating and Cooling to anyone having AC or heating issues, repair or installation of a new system. Hire these people! From first contact to final handshake as they were leaving, the entire crew at Eco was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. I was upgrading my old gravity furnace to a full heat pump system, and knew very little about how the equipment worked or what I actually needed. They sent out Ziv, their salesman, who did a whole lot of explaining and answering questions, with very little selling. His explanation (complete with sketches!) and willingness to answer every question I had made me feel like a real partner in the process. On the first day of install, the crew doing asbestos abatement arrived on time, got to work and were done practically before my coffee finished perking. I got Eli's number from my next door neighbors I had an issue with the ac at my house, my ac System stopped working well recently and wasn't cooling my house well at all for a while now and I didn't want to deal with fixing it honestly. This review is purely on my experience in the intake process. Very unhappy with the way they treated me as a prospective client. We were scheduled for an inspection estimate, and they never showed up within the 3-hour window. They used the old "we got a flat tire" excuse. After 3 hours, I was told they were still on their way but waiting for another job to finish. I wasted my time and gas as I drove two hours to meet them at my investment property. If this is how they treat their prospective clients, I can only imagine what their timeline completions must be like. Let me start with this, I was worried the AC unit we have is 25 years old and is located on the roof of a 4 story building. It weighs 2 tons and stopped working. I contacted about six AC companies. Eco Heating and Cooling contacted me right away. Within a couple hours Eli was on the roof checking the unit out. Sure enough it needed to be replaced. Before I had time to panic he said don't worry I will help you and give you the best price I can for a good unit. I have a finance company for you and you can do payments .And he gave me a $500.00 discount on top of his quote. The NEXT day the whole thing was replaced and everything was running beautifully! Mike his office manager stayed on the phone with me and walked me through the financing process, who does that now a days?
