    Nails!

Great staff, I've had only good experiences the other times I've gone, but vivi blew me away today. Super quality and was able to recreate what I was going for effortlessly. Shape, design and color are perfection!! Also very considerate and get you something to drink, play nice background tv, and have a beautiful space. A new go-to in Brooklyn!

Let me start by saying that since I'm on this mission to find the best, I'm aware that costs may be up as compared to other mom and pop nail salons. And I'm willing and happy to pay if the service and environment speak to that. That being said, for cleanliness I do definitely give them a TEN. Everything was super spotless, super brand new, and the tools used on my feet were brand new from a package. They covered the foot sink with plastic as well. My service I would give a FOUR out of ten. My water was on the chilly side and when I asked for my nail tech to make it warm, she added a bit of hot water and that was it. I decided to let it go and enjoy my pedicure service. She did well with prepping my nail beds. She filed, trimmed the cuticles, leg massage- the whole works that came with my package. I did the Spa Pedi for 35$. When it came to polish my toes, oh my goodness, the young lady was SO NERVOUS. I have no idea why, but despite her nerves she was able to do my pedicure and I had to advise her to put 3 coats and 2 coats was still too sheer. Sigh. This had me disappointed too because I couldn't believe she couldn't see that. At the fancy drying station, I was offered a shoulder massage. I declined because I'm really not a fan of massages most times. When I went to pay, the lady in charge was very aggressive about leaving a tip for the nail tech- which I was planning to do anyway despite her nervousness. The aggression of the cashier really put me off- especially since my pedicure looked completely AVERAGE and medicore (insert eye roll) and the experience was average as well. Overall- if you prefer cleanliness over anything else, then this is your spot. Other than that I really don't recommend and i will not be back. $40 for a mediocre pedicure is just not my jam. What I think would make this place better is more confident nail techs, more warm ness from staff and even if they offered their guests complimentary lemon water or something! Give the customers an experience for the $$$. Oh and if you're wondering my pedicure was on 6/22. It is now 6/30 and it has chipped and smudged without me doing anything to it. Waste. My rating is 3.5 but I have to settle for 3 since that's what's available.

I was extremely disappointed, especially considering they charge the same prices as other salons nearby. They even charge extra if you choose Essie or OPI polish, which feels like a low-budget "chop shop" tactic rather than a quality salon experience. The pedicure itself was rushed and lacked basic nail care. The technician used an electric drill file and did not appear to have a clean set of cuticle nippers. My cuticles were never properly cleaned or removed it felt more like a quick scrub-and-paint service than a professional pedicure. It also appeared that the same tools were being used from client to client, which raised serious concerns about sanitation. Another major issue was cleanliness. They use disposable bowl liners, but that seems to be the extent of their sanitizing practices. Instead of disposable pedicure sandals, they reuse plastic sandals for multiple customers, which I found unsanitary and frankly gross. The service itself felt very rushed. No quick-dry top coat was offered, there was no real massage, and the technicians seemed focused solely on getting clients in and out as quickly as possible. The "hot stones" weren't even hot they were simply glided over my feet for a few seconds before being set aside, presumably for the next customer. To make matters worse, the restroom was dirty and had flies swarming inside. Overall, cleanliness and sanitation appear to be major issues here. Based on my experience, I would not feel comfortable returning, and I would not recommend this salon to others. There are far better options in the area that provide proper hygiene, better service, and more attention to detail.
