We could not be happier with our service. I found out about Groutsmith from my realtor, and I am so glad I was pointed their way. It was very easy to set up an initial consultation, and Kurtis, the owner, came out himself to demo, get the lay of the land for the project, and answer ALL of my questions. He is crazy friendly and seriously knows his stuff. In working with Kendra to schedule everything, at first we were told the first available appointment would be 2 months out. We had been hoping to get the service done before we moved in, but also thought that them being so booked was a good sign. Kendra asked if we wanted to be back ups in case another job had to get pushed and we said absolutely... we are so glad she did that, because literally the very next week their whole crew was able to come out and do the whole job from 8 - 130. Their entire team was prompt (even early!) and extremely friendly. Their initial representative was Rene, and he was a crack up! He has an eye for design and is seriously talented and fast with his work. Several others showed up including the owner again, and they even were training someone on one of their first jobs, but you could tell Kurtis and the more seasoned hires were going out of their way to ensure the work was consistently excellent throughout... Joe and James, who actually completed the work, were also on-time, friendly and very professional. Joe and James essentially sealed the entire first floor of my home and they did an outstanding job. Neither Joe nor James rushed the job; instead, they took their time and did their job right the first time, which is very rare these days. They also cleaned up and put the room exactly how it was when I left it. Though, they gave me a time slot that was outside the scope I asked for making me rush things to accommodate for them - this was a bit unwanted. Maids arrived on time, they don't speak or understand English, only Spanish. I walked them through the house. The moment they saw master bathroom, the in-charge maid started saying something in Spanish. She didn't see the shower area or the tub by that time, but made a call saying my place needs a deep cleaning, saying the bathrooms are in need of deep cleaning and not regular, asking to charge me some $80 bucks more or so. Happy to pay that if you are either upfront about it, and do the job you say you would. After this, the service was subpar. The maids would lie about cleaning something they didn't even touch, you'd have to call them over and make them clean things (referring to the tops of bed side stands, dressers, dusting furniture etc.). Overall, the service I received was more of a headache than it was a service. After paying $230 whatever, my shower floor still looks the same. The cherry on top - I asked for kid friendly, safe cleaning supplies. Whatever they used, left a strong chemical smell throughout my house that lasted 2 days. Sharing an after picture of the shower floor ( it's a rented house, and these are stains that don't come off, which they decided not to check first but just charge more and leave as is).
