Buyer beware..the on site estimate the tech service guy gave me for my bill did not include all charges. I signed for approximately $300 but the invoice came in later showing a $500 charge. This was misleading information and bad business practices that made me approve this service. I would have never made the decision to move forward with the work if I knew I was being charged $100 for each head repair. If you choose to do business with this overpriced company be cautious of the final price the service man gives you. read more

I don't know what is worse about Ecosystems, the rudeness of their installers or their incompetence. We started using Ecosystems when they purchased my former sprinkler company when the owner retired. We hired them to replace some sprinkler heads along our driveway after we had it repaved. Since we were had to get it done fast before the sod was going to be installed, we told the scheduler to send someone that could install the sprinklers the day they came. We were under time pressure, so we did not want them to provide an estimate and then come back another day. Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened. The person only came to provide an estimate. It was overpriced, but we had a time crunch, so we agreed to have them do the work. The good thing they told us is that they would send a manager to do the work. DeVo showed up to do the work. He was rude and not very nice. After the sod was installed, we turned on the sprinklers and found out that there we not enough sprinkler heads and the wrong nozzles were installed. Many parts of the lawn were not properly serviced by the newly installed sprinklers. We called to have them to come back to correct the issues. The new technician agreed that the job was shoddy. He said he needed to install additional heads and different nozzles. He said he would like to fix it for no additional cost, but couldn't. The company would not allow him to fix the errors without charging me several hundred dollars in additional costs. That did not make sense to me. How could they charge me to fix their errors? We declined. To add insult to injury, we found out that they charged $150 for the estimate that they provided. We called to have the charge removed, they said it was service to inspect the system. We did ask for that or agree to it. I have since read some other reviews that said the company only cares about overcharging you and does not care about customer service. So, I'll start with my recommendation - don't use Ecosystems. We used All-Wet for almost 25 years until they were bought out by Ecosystems, and it's been downhill for us ever since. Trying to schedule maintenance or winterizing is a nightmare. Call and be on hold for 20 minutes, unless you get cut off. They will TELL YOU when they will arrive, hopefully that fits your schedule. One of our appointments was cancelled because the tech "had a family emergency". And that same excuse was used a second time just last week! Sounds like "my dog ate my homework". Another appointment was cancelled by Ecosystems as they said I didn't reply to the text to confirm - they magically found a tech when I offered to send a screen shot of my confirmation. We had to schedule a master valve replacement - that took over a month. When the tech arrived, he started by cutting ALL the wires in the control box, not just the two for the valve. Then he spent two hours trying to fix the wiring, at one point trying to say that the system was obviously broken before he arrived. The automated system they use for communication is terrible. We got text messages informing us that our tech would arrive "soon", despite the fact that the work had been done two hours earlier! And on and on .... Use anybody else. read more

He was also very helpful in keeping me informed about the performance of my system. He also offered helpful tips on how I could improve the performance of the system. I have been with this business for several years . Recently they had someone come do a startup . He was fantastic ! However , it appears that the startup has run havoc with my water softening system ! I have called literally more than 10 times in order to speak to someone . I left messages and even sent emails to get someone in order to assess the situation . I have not received any call backs or return emails ! What a disappointment this company has become . Horrible company and service ever. They barely call back and they have so many processes work never gets done. We had our sprinkler system opened this year with 2 leaks found. It took 4 phone calls to get an estimate to fix the leak in 2 zones and we are on now 3 calls to get it scheduled for them to come back out and fix the leaks. 3 weeks later I still have 2 zones suspended with no scheduled day for them to come back. That's just to fix a leak I then asked after 2 seasons of me asking to have someone come out to add a zone to cover our garden beds so a sales person comes and tells me I need a more experienced sales person to look at my system to provide an estimate that is now 5 days ago and I never heard any feedback on sending another sales person here. Don't bother with this company, we will be using someone else going forward. just now New If I could give this company 0 stars I would. Worst customer service and employees I have ever dealt with. Stick with small privately owned sprinkler companies. This company has so many departments, employees, and managers and you end up dealing with 10 different people. It started with the salesman John who came to my house in March and sold me a sprinkler system and told me install would be a couple of weeks. He knew that it was important for me to get it done right away so he said whatever he had to do to get the sale. After a few weeks I call the scheduling department and spoke to Jayme who was very rude and told me John shouldn't have told me a couple of weeks because they aren't even scheduling for the season yet. I called back every week and just kept getting pushed up. After a month and a half I called customer service and requested to speak to a manager. I was told a manager would call me but every time it was Jayme from scheduling that would call me back and blow me off. I called everyday for a manger and could not get anyone. Eventually after almost two months I demanded Jayme put me in touch with a manager and she had Gregg call me. He was a bigger screw up than John and Jayme. They give me one date to choose from for my install and tell me I have to be home. People work. I fought with Gregg for another date and after going back and forth he finally comes out to do the mark outs and tells me that they will be out in a Saturday to do the install and as long as I leave my garage open and they can access the panel, I do not need to be home. Gregg said he would be out the Monday after the install to show me how to work the system. The crew comes out on Saturday and does the install. I wait all day Monday for Gregg to come out and he never shows. I get in touch with my salesman John who tells me that Gregg will be out later in the week and that the crew could not finish the install because I never left my garage open. I was furious and had John get me in touch with Greggs boss, Heather. I provided Heather with ring camera footage showing the crew going in and out of my garage as well as lounging on the ground of my driveway, yet they could not finish the install. Heather seemed understanding at first and told me she would be having Gregg come out to finish the next day. Gregg comes out and is shocked to see that the panel was actually installed by his crew on Saturday. He told me "I need to start speaking Spanish better." I asked him why he didn't show up on Monday and he didn't call and he said he screwed up. I spoke to Heather again and requested a discount for all the inconveniences and she advised me that she would be having a team meeting on 5/19/25 and would be in touch with me after. Today is Friday 5/23/25 and still no Heather. I have never experienced service like this in my life. read more

Unfortunately their products just don't seem to work. Not sure if the people applying them just don't know what they're doing or if they just use cheap stuff. This year I had to email/text them with issues over 10 times regarding fertilizer, sprinkler, and mosquito service. My lawn in the front and back is near ruined. Our dogs do their business in one small section near the deck stairs which is obvious so please don't blame that on them. The rest is all them. Our lawn was thriving last year. Green as can be. Had sod put down in many places the year before that. Unfortunately crab grass and dead spots are what's thriving right now even though they said they'll spray extra crab grass killer multiple times. They blamed the heat and humidity while my neighbors with no sprinklers or fertilizer/lawn care companies look significantly better than mine. They said maybe it's a fungus and spray some "complimentary fungicide". Nope. Then they tried blaming my sprinkler coverage setup in the back and would fix it for the low price of $1,000. It covers just fine considering the problems are happening in the front too. In the end they tried offering me 50% off of an aeration and overseed. I absolutely hate that it came to me having to write about my experience, but I tried working something out with Ecosystems but they just refused to remedy the situation. Their mosquito spray wasn't as effective this year for some reason. Stark difference between the previous year. Possibly due to the random bouts of rain and the timing with the sprays? I can give them the benefit of the doubt on that but I'm make the point known that we didn't get bit but a couple times last year with them and this year it's been worse. read more

I have used this company for years to open and close my sprinklers...How ever every year when opening there are broken heads, pipes, and other issues and I always have a bill. This time I wasn't home and my wife and daughter were. The guys that came were very polite is what my wife and daughter told me. But!!!! How is it if they open and close the systems and I always agree to fix them again when opening the adjusting of the heads have a fee???? That is what they have always done included and this time they want to charge me? Is it the women infront of them and let's charge???? Or is it they feel the opening of the system is not enough so make sure the guys find issues and charge??? I get the broken line last year they fixed one and now not even a bad winter and the line broke???? Hmm!!!! When I said I am getting a second opinion not to happy!!!!! Why would I have your company open my system when it's a turn of the water line and turn the valve on the sprinkler system outside??? The whole reason people use companies like this for service is to open the have the service done and have a peace of mind. I have never been charged for adjusting the head a simple turn of the head so it directs the water to the right direction and simple turn which I did when I got home took me 2 minutes...well this will be a topic with my friends and family asking who I use for opening and closing for my sprinkler systems it sure won't be your company!!!I I would love to hear how I was charged for a automatic open and close payment charged on my credit card in February when I don't recall I signed up for that? They Came on the wrong day so I had to send the guy back then I tried to reschedule and they pushed me another month out. This is just the opening. I called another company and they came in two days. This is going to sound like an advertisement instead of a review. If you're looking for a sprinkler company that installs, maintains, seeds your grass and stands by their work 100%, then Ecosystems is for you. Bonus for respectful friendly employees. They have been doing the maintenance on our sprinkler system for years without a hitch. They schedule you consistently, notify you several times on the impending visit, via email, text and regular phone, and do a good job maintaining a 30 year old sprinkler system. This year we put in a new system just in the front yard, with the backyard to be done next year. Here is where integrity comes in to play. We all know people make mistakes and usually, the bigger the mistake, the less the company is willing to fix it. Ecosystems not only fixed the mistake but went above and beyond. Even more, you can always talk to a human, you are neither left leaving endless messages nor shunted random employees who can't really help you. I'm sure you can find cheaper sprinkler systems and installers. I'm also sure they won't have an owner who gets on the phone and talks to you, stakes his reputation on his men AND follows through. Three weeks before the work had to be done, Stan came out to the house and said it would be $100 - $200. 4 days before the work was scheduled, Kyle came out again to "assess" and indicated a quote would be emailed from the office the same day; When I didn't receive it I called the office the following day and requested the quote. Michelle said that Kyle hadn't finished preparing it and I would have it by the end of the day. I never received the quote and the repair guy came out, did the work and presented me with a $1400 bill. This included $250 for a garden hose connection...a $5 part at Home Depot. read more

Been using them since they installed our system, always for startup and shut down, always changing sprinkler heads when they advise(2023 startup paid for 3 heads replaced = $180+). Two occasions during start up technician forgot to check the battery level power on our rain sensor and connectivity to the box. 1st time I personally changed the button cell, second time I was traveling and called to have them change it after the fact since they missed it during start up. Spoke to them specifically to denote that it was overlooked during start up and I did not want a service fee to replace a $10 battery. They assured me it would only be a battery fee. Tech arrived and did the battery change, told my wife that during the start up he advised me that the battery was dead(which he didn't, was covering his ball drop at corporate) and had her sign the repair order with a $50 trip charge to do something he should have done during start up. I emailed and called eco systems several times, with either "I have forwarded your email" or no reply to my voicemails. After 6 weeks Connor Kerrigan from Eco Systems billing department finally called me back and offered to rectify the situation by giving me a credit on the entire $74 invoice to replace a $10 battery. When the credit posted to my card it was only for a portion of the $74 invoice. They're a money grabbing outfit, upselling or charging for anything they can, and also losing their focus by expanding into other areas outside of sprinkler service(lighting, mosquito control, lawn care, aeration, etc.) with horrible service and communication. Pre- paid for my lawn sprinkler start up and the tech found a leaky solenoid sprinkler valve for my system . Because it was connected to copper we had to be furnished a quote for repairs . System was non usable for 2 weeks as it took that long to get a quote for $800. EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS !!!!! So the Sprinkler valve itself , fittings and 2 shark bite connectors are less $100.... how do you explain $700 + in labor ?? ITS CALLED GOUGING !!!!!!... a flat out SCREWING if we said yes to it . call ecosystems to open up the sprinklers for two of my houses. In both houses they claim that I needed to get work done so we figured we would do one house first which cost us over $1000 in work. After realizing that our lawn was turning yellow in both houses we called someone else who told us that the system wasn't even turned on and we saw that the work that had been performed had leaks of water coming out all over the place I called up and spoke to a woman who I believe is named Marissa who hung the phone up on me and even when I told her that I would go to the Better Business Bureau she really didn't care. I am still waiting to hear from this company as to whether they can come out this Thursday which is the only time I have available around eight to 8-9 o'clock in the morning. My previous sprinkler guy (small mom and pop operation) sold their business to EcoSystems so I thought I'd continue with EcoSystems this year even though it's a big company. I signed up for the irrigation membership which includes start-up, a mid-season check and closing. EcoSystems could not open my sprinklers as there was a break in the line under my paver walkway. They told me they couldn't fix the break because they would not remove and replace the pavers. I therefore had to hire a different sprinkler company to make the repair and start-up the sprinkler system. I asked EcoSystems to please refund my money since I had no use for a company that can't fulfill all of my sprinkler needs. I got the run around and had to make repeated phone calls to the company for the refund. What a hassle! After more than two months and 8 phone calls, I'm still waiting for a manager to sign-off on the refund! read more

I used Ecosystems this past year for an old run down irrigation system. They were able to get it back up and running for a reasonable price. After speaking to the technician Corey I was convinced to give them a try for lawn fertilization. My lawn never looked so good. This year I added on mosquito and tick control, am still using them for lawn fertilization and have my appointment to get my lawn sprinklers turned on next week.
