Had my oil change a months ago by nissan and you know they do their 43 points inspection so this time had about 2000+ for all that they said needed to be done i said OK. Took it to our auto shop to get done which only cost me 1200. Will today went for my oil change at nissan and here the guy comes with you needed your throttle clean and your brakes change, brake fluid and so on. I think his name waa mike, micheal something with a M. I said really that funny because i got my brakes and rotors and throttle body cleaned last week. You telling me that i have old brakes and the throttle body not clean. I about to go back over there because i have never ever had bas service over there. Then he said oh no if you dont have it done here at nissan then ita considered not done. BUT YOU JUST SAID YOU DID A Multi inspection and you founded all the things wrong. That needed to be done. So basically if you didnt do it there you didnt get it done and NISSAN IS NOT DOING MULTI CHECKS they just looking in the computer and the computer says you didn't have them done here or not at all. I ask him to put that i had them done already. He said he can only check decline or accept SMH. Lucky for me when my husband has stuff done to my suv or cars he tells me and give me the receipt. Spent 2 days talking with a salesman and giving them specific details about the vehicle I was searching for. Sales manager sends me email with photos and detailed description of the vehicle I was interested in. The email stated MSRP twice and was an agreeable number. Started getting concrete quotes and it got even better. I was planning on going down to the dealership to discuss purchasing the vehicle when I noticed there were 4 links to two different vehicles in the email and the stock numbers were left off. After investigating the differences, the stock numbers were 1 digit off from each other and the salesman was trying to sell me another vehicle. I don't mind salesmen wanting to make a sale and doing the best they can, but after describing a similar deceptive sales tactic in Houston and my desires to avoid such things, the last thing needed was a bait and switch. Again, I understand sales, but honesty and integrity are worth more than a dollar and your name follows you wherever you go. I walked in and was looking at the car, but with 4 different sales people sitting with in spitting distance not one of them talk to me. For over 10 minutes. So I asked why it was locked, finally someone said it's sold. OK. But if someone comes in one of my stores and my sales people acted like that, I guess I would be working a lot more because there would be some people fired. I travel from California to Corpus Christi every year to spend a month on the island windsurfing. I felt my '22 Pathfinder needed an oil change and filter before starting the 2000 mile drive back home. I went to their Express Service and was greeted warmly and got my car right in for the service. From the moment I arrived until leaving, everything was perfect. The staff kept me informed of the status of my car and went over in detail all of their findings. Really nice staff! NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE FIRST OFF, Nissan's are supposed to be great vehicles. BUT THEY ARE NOT!!!! I have a 2015 Nissan Rogue, I had to replace the CVT transmission in it before I even finished paying the car off!!! 4500 for a new transmission in a car that gets all its scheduled maintenance. 5 years old. 5! Then the Nissan Versa that I bought for my child for college, that only has 29,000 miles and is a 2017. Needed an AC compressor. RIGHT AFTER THEIR crappy 3 year 36,000 mile warranty ran out. The 3 years was up in January. What kind of car needs a compressor at 30,000 miles?!?! So we take it in to this sh** show of a place Monday. We asked for a loaner when placing appointment. But got there Monday and none were available. We got zero calls Monday to let us know the plan. Thankfully I bought the 1800.00 extended warranty on the car, so it's covered. Tuesday my kid needed the car, for work... for school. But by midday we still had not heard anything. Called Nissan asking for a manager, they transfer me to a SALES manager instead of SERVICE manager. So I unload on him and he says he will walk over and tell the service manager to call me. 4-5 Hours later My kid gets a call saying it's the compressor, that it'll be ready before they close. Yeah ok. I finally get a call saying It's the compressor and that he's going to get it going right after the tech is done with the transmission he's putting in. I said, you haven't even started it?!?! He said no, but that it would get done, that if it didn't for any reason he personally would call me. Nope. No call. It's Wednesday, no car, no call. In these times of trouble, companies need all the business they can get. But this place won't get another PENNY from me. Do yourself a favor, buy a Toyota. :) read more

I won't be taking my Nissan here after everything that has happened. We took it in cause the windshield wipers gave out , it was sitting there for a month & 2 weeks in the dealership , turns out the technician had done some wrong. Until some other tech told him he had put the wires wrong. Terrible customer service once , my husband caught them in a lie ; he had called on a Saturday and said I need the status of my car the girl said he's busy with a customer called again she said Let me get your name and number and I'll tell him to call you back. Funny thing my husband called again & someone else picked up and said " oh he doesn't work Saturdays ". Personally honesty is the best policy a lot of other little things happened. But what make me frustrated is that we got out car back last week on a Friday and suddenly a bunch of other problems come up! Which they want to charge 800$ for. It was running just fine until we took it in for the windshield wipers and now everything is fallen apart. Idiots, like I won't ask for the paperwork. So I did and it was still in the red. They said we need to rotate and balance and it would fix it. I paid again and it still didn't fix it. I've never left a review anywhere, but they are so dishonest I have to leave one here. First, they recommended the highest warranty for my lease, which I happily agreed to knowing that any issues would be covered. Once I actually needed the warranty, NOTHING was covered. Fine print after fine print, I ended up having to pay for all repairs OUT OF POCKET AFTER PAYING $200+ PER MONTH FOR THE HIGHEST WARRANTY THEY OFFER. (that supposedly would have covered all of these repairs) After having to pay for all of that, I decided to go ahead and buy the car when my lease was up, instead of returning it after having to pay for multiple repairs that should have been covered. It turns out that the lender they chose for us charges a $15 FEE FOR PAYING WITH A DEBIT CARD, and the gentleman who helped me set up the payment also let me know that there are times when "the system will lock you out for 12 months at a time and you'll have to open a new checking account to make payments if that happens." WOW! We have excellent credit, and they didn't give us an option between lenders or disclose any of this information. They definitely DO NOT have their customer's best interest in mind. This Nissan location is the most dishonest group of people I have ever encountered, they really need to be more transparent with their customers. I'm paying my car off and never going back again. Everyone in the service department is very nice. However even when being reminded of a particular issue, they cannot seem to rectify the problem. I repeatedly (4x's) mentioned that a new tire was losing air when I took it in for oil change and tire rotation. Based on air pressure they did not check that, and the last time it appears as though they did not even rotate the tires as they were supposed to. Having been in four times since I purchased the car six months ago with the same issues, not happy. While I was on the road between cities, I discovered there was a nail in the tire. read more

Last Thursday my father and I stopped at Ed Hicks to test drive a Nissan xTerra. Joshua Brewer took us out in one of the Pro 4X models. I highly recommend him as a salesman; he didn't even flinch when I excitedly hopped out of the vehicle without first putting it in park. Mr. Brewer followed up with us within 30 minutes by emailing the specs, and offering us such a stellar deal that we ended up back there the same day to buy both their pro 4x xterras. I get a call saying they didn't finish and the gotta keep it overnight. that didn't sit well with me. they told me the brakes are in yellow on 5. don't need changing yet. so I can pick up car. I want to buy a new Nissan pathfinder, so I went to Hicks web site for Nissan in Robstown. I filled out the forms on line in order to find out what all the cost were. The veh, was $25,700. But all the added fees came to over $3700. dollars ,tax included. This was way high even with the tax. But I looked at the list of fees and at the end was one they called an andendum for almost $1700. dollars, with no reason as to what it was for. It was for nothing but to put an extra $1700. cash into their pockets.I looked it up on the state web site about the cost of buying a new car. They have the right charge whatever they want. They gave almost 3300. dollars off the car up front then they turn around and take half of it away and call it something else. I had a $1000 Lucky 7's scratcher for Hicks Nissan, I've actually been saving money for another car so I thought the timing was pretty awesome and nothing stimulates the economy like stimulus checks towards a new car. and I love the new Nissans. I've owned 4 Nissans in my driving days (the car I learned to drive standard and drove home after my wedding was my Pulsar. ( detachable T Tops) My sons very first car ride as a newborn was in my Maxima. And we were an official "Nissan Family" when my ex-husband had his 240 while I had my little Sentra; which drove me back and forth across this country countless times. So I always check the new styles, and have to say I'm definitely bummed that I "didn't read the fine print" of my scratcher, even though it indicated I had won; that In order to ACTUALLY win I had to match my number to the winning number board at the Hick office. Upset that I was so gullible and really disappointed in a company I would say that I have trusted for almost 30 years. Also let down, that the salesperson's attitude ( training) was that it was a just way to get people to the car lot. Which may in fact be true, but duping people to get them to your location is NOT a way to get them then to buy a vehicle from you. In fact, I can guarantee I will not be buying my next car from them. And as much as I like the new Armada and The Rogue, I don't see myself buying a Nissan at all any time soon. This is a really sad ending to my Nissan story, but I often think in life when people take advantage of you, it just shows how much they need the money and considering that The BBB has Ed Hicks Nissan with three complaints AND just 1 out of 5 stars, pathetic. I received horrible service. Took in the the to repair a Nissan Warranty bulletin (Passenger seat vibration). Long story short, it took them 10 days to run the vin # to realize that the original seats were cloth vice leather. The service tech called and told me Based on this discovery, OEM said warranty bulletin could not be honored. Then he called me 10 minutes later to tell me that he had received a call from the OEM stating they would honor the warranty (replace the passenger seat). An hour later I received his call telling me my truck was ready for pickup. I asked him if I owed any out of pocket expense. He put me on hold for about 10 minutes. He came back on to tell me that he was told by the service manager that the new replacement had to be removed because the dealer that I bought the truck from was going to pay for replacement parts. This was a HUGE disappointment. I was not aware that a service manager could trump the OEM's approval. I picked up my truck only to discover that the leather on the passenger has a deep scratch and the head rest they removed was not secured therefore punctured and tore the backseat. THEY FAILED TO RETURN MY TRUCK TO ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION. read more

Because she has a service program, they come up with something that just "has" to be replaced every time. Most recently...the brake pads at 45000 miles?? Really?! We brought the old brake pads home for my uncle and my mom's boyfriend to look at and they both said they still had a least 1/2 the life left on them. QUICK LUBE DEPARTMENT review. I decided to take my grandfathers new vehicle to get its first oil change after about a year, made my appt and showed up. I pulled into the wrong drive, apparently they don't want the common oil change people to be with the mechanical work people. Anyhow I went to the right one and pulled up. I was met by an advisor who I told of my appt, didn't look it up or anything (makes me wonder the point of appointments), but signed me in and had a ride come to get me. Here is where I had an issue like I said I am not from here and don't have a clue about any roads, the driver woman was rather unfriendly and seemed upset with me about not knowing roads by heart.... sorry I guess. I even felt that she was scolding me,even after I have her the EXACT ADRESS, she may need some customer service retraining in my opinion. I retuned after 1.5 hrs to get the car, it was clean and ready waiting in front for me, a nice touch, I quickly paid and my actual advisor DAVID WALKED ME TO MY CAR.... unheard of now a days, trust me I worked for a dealership. I recently bought a new vehicle from Hicks Family Nissan in the Calallen area. Fell victim to a slight of hand sales manager. The dealership uses a worksheet to breakdown the terms of the deal. The worksheet reflects such things as MSRP, trade in allowance, dealer discount and net sales price. We agreed to the terms of the sale. Unfortunately, I failed to get a copy of the worksheet. The next day, my wife went by and picked up the new vehicle as I was out of town. The actual sales price was $2000 to $3000 higher than we had agreed on the day before. Just as you would expect, the worksheet has disappeared and the dealership refuses to product it. They claim that I agreed to pay full MSRP, less my trade in value. All I can say is . . . Let the buyer beware. You'd be well advised to shop for a new vehicle elsewhere. read more
