So, I was skeptical, but decided to give it a try…read more Context: I accidentally "OD'd" on too much ADHD medication - I accidentally double-dosed. As you probably know, ADHD meds are often amphetamines and in the right dose, it can work beautifully, but too much... and it's a nightmare. After accidentally double-dosing, I was up for 24 hours and was wrecked. I couldn't eat... didn't want to drink... I just catatonically binged watched TV for 24 hours. I was dehydrated and my stomach was in knots. Hydration always makes you feel better, but I just didn't have the desire/tolerance to drink anything. I went in that morning and the RN mixed a "cocktail" of some magnesium and other things. She started the IV and literally within seconds I could taste the concoction. It wasn't unpleasant, but just tasted like you had a vitamin in your mouth. Within minutes, my stomach ache went away and I felt so relaxed. Immediately after the IV, I went for a BIG sushi lunch, came home around 1pm and crashed out. It literally reset me.

After a brief call with an employee named Paolo, who spoke positively about the clinic, I shared the information with my relative. In hindsight, I realize that in my desperation, I may have overlooked warning signs. At the time, I did not realize Paolo is not a medical professional, even though he was the first person discussing treatment options. The clinic is owned and operated by Dr. Nilda Agnes Abellera, who is board-certified in PEDIATRICS but whose clinic advertises integrative medicine. My relative traveled from out of state to begin what was described as an "intensive" 20-day cancer program. According to her account, the first three days did not feel intensive. She reported that infusion rates appeared slowed, staff could not explain the scientific basis for some treatments, and the doctor missed a planned medication review. She also observed what she believed was dried blood on a chair and described an IV bag fully draining while the needle was in place, which worried her. On October 9, 2025, she said her care was terminated immediately after raising concerns, without timely written notice, referrals, or arrangements to ensure access to medical care until she could establish care elsewhere. Referrals were only provided after I contacted the clinic. This abrupt termination caused a delay of over a month in her treatment and worsened her PTSD symptoms. She also tried to obtain her medical records multiple ways. On October 10, she requested them in person but was denied. She also submitted a written request and used the clinic's online inquiry form. As of this writing--52 days later--she has not received her complete records. When I called the clinic, Paolo was tense and dismissive, and I could not speak directly with Dr. Abellera. Given the situation, I became concerned about whether proper procedures were followed and intended to file a complaint with the Medical Board of California. Additional observations and concerns (personal experience): Family-run structure: The clinic is owned by Dr. Abellera. Paolo appears to manage many aspects, and another family member may also work there. This raised questions about oversight and role clarity. Online reviews: Of 32 Google reviews, 5 were five-star without details. Only one mentioned "cancer," making it hard to evaluate patient experiences compared with other clinics with hundreds of detailed reviews. Difficulty communicating with the physician: My relative and I tried to speak directly with Dr. Abellera; she did not speak with me, and my relative felt the doctor was unwilling to address her concerns. This lack of communication was alarming given her serious diagnosis. Cost vs. expectations: The program cost approximately $1,800 per day. Based on my relative's experience, the services did not match the program description. Others may feel differently, but this was our impression. Social media promotion: Paolo participates in Facebook groups promoting the clinic without identifying himself as an employee, which seemed misleading. I have included a screenshot for reference. In more than a decade in healthcare, I have never witnessed a more concerning divergence from a physician's duty to do no harm: terminating care without notice, effectively leaving my relative without immediate, comparable care options while facing life-threatening cancer.

It was very helpful. I've never done color therapy before, didn't know what it was, or what to expect even. And I grabbed fives and it told her a lot of the things I was dealing and feeling with. And I was dealing with deep anxieties that I didn't tell anyone about. That whole past week.. I couldn't sleep or if I did: it was never well and I would just get nightmares. And everything wasn't 'new' that we talked about and something I didn't even realize. And Hemla gave me a deeper insight about things. Came here after Dr. Massen was listed on my insurance. The place itself is a bit difficult to find…read morebecause it's inside of a larger building with lots of other doctor offices, it's the first door the left and the second window down next to a dentist office. The receptionist was super nice, I was able to get an appointment that very day and once I came in everyone was so nice. They quickly got me inside and the nurse was very nice and attentive to all my symptoms. The doctor is quite the funny guy he cracks jokes as soon as he walks in, which is awesome but also I feel like it stops him from listening to me and taking me seriously but at the same time was funny enough to make me feel comfortable. He sent me away with some antibiotics and some lab work. I didn't get my lab results back until about a week later (even tho I remember him saying I would get them 2 days later) and when I called nobody got back to me I had to call again and speak to the receptionist directly. Overall I would recommend this office the receptionist/nurse is great the doctors pretty good. No real complaints but also nothing crazy.
