After my experience tonight, I will most certainly be back! The first thing that struck me about the place was that it was decidedly dated, and I mean that in a nostalgic way. The Charlie Brown's building clearly has a history, and one could easily imagine what this place was like as a one family home. Pretty cool! Tin backsplashes come to mind as a dominant feature of the indoor decor. They dotted the huge, multi-roomed interior, giving the place a classic, yet elegant feel, like being in grandma's kitchen. The space was great, and I especially loved the dining room in the the library, adorned with grand bookcases full of the classics! The menu was what I would expect a reasonably priced steakhouse would be. There were plenty of choices in steaks, and other dishes, and their prices were good. I ordered the sirloin, with mashed potatoes and the salad bar....and I thoroughly enjoyed it all! The service at Charlie Brown's was great, as well, and everyone we came into contact with served us with a smile. I have no photos...but I'll be back! Charlie Brown's is a great restaurant, with good steaks, in a cool atmosphere and with nice service. What's not to like?

The quiche was on their brunch menu that comes with either a mimosa or sangria. The salad was good. I asked for the home fries that come with the quiche to be extra crispy...they crisp the outside but not the inside. The quiche itself was ok, not bad but nothing to make me want it again. The waffle was good however they serve it with fake syrup...first ingredient is corn syrup and, second ingredient is high fructose corn syrup. I originally ordered the mimosa, acidity was to high so I switched it to the sangria, it was horrible. I don't recommend this place.

I was so happy that we were going to a diner this late at night - it brought back so many great memories of a younger me! I had the best mozzarella sticks that I have ever had. They were packed with cheese and not greasy at all. I also had 2 cups of decaf coffee since it was so late at night (for caffeine). Our young male server, Evran, was so nice, courteous and attentive. My "Sir" got a really nice looking breakfast platter. He enjoyed it very much, and took half of it home for the next day. Did I mention their sweet portion sizes?! I am a big sweets and chocolate lover and was all but drooling over their bakery case with some glorious looking cakes and cheesecakes. (Really beautiful!) The waitress was pleasant, and the overall atmosphere was nice. I found the menu items to be pricey. My daughter ordered a croissant sandwich. The croissant could not support the egg and sausage which made it difficult to eat. I ordered avocado toast which was just okay. Considering the prices, none of our breakfast orders wowed us. The side potatoes seemed to be a bulk frozen version that was reheated. I was disappointed overall with my experience. I think this place could be so much better.

Because the two breweries that were closer happened to be closed. Their loss, my gain. I love Death of the Fox, but that's a story for a separate review. Now we're talking. Very, very pretty darn tasty. If you've followed my cheesesteak adventures for any length of time, you know I'm not exactly a hot sauce guy. I was expecting some serious heat, but I'd describe this as more of a sweet habanero with a pleasant kick. Best of all, I suffered no repercussions afterward--a minor miracle. This is exactly why there were only a handful of patrons in this restaurant. Do not support this type of extortion! I'm sure they will be out of business very shortly. Even the waitress, who was extremely nice and respectful, could not believe the cost for each individual regular size shrimp. She also unnecessarily apologized because she was clearly embarrassed.
