Apparently, they go through 15 gallons of it every week. More on that in a minute. I took my cheesesteak over to Death of the Fox Brewery. Why? Because the two breweries that were closer happened to be closed. Their loss, my gain. I love Death of the Fox, but that's a story for a separate review. First, I sampled the meat, cheese, and onions by themselves. Pretty darn tasty. Next, I tried a bite on the toasted garlic roll. Very pretty darn tasty. Then I added the habanero sauce. Now we're talking. Very, very pretty darn tasty. If you've followed my cheesesteak adventures for any length of time, you know I'm not exactly a hot sauce guy. I was expecting some serious heat, but I'd describe this as more of a sweet habanero with a pleasant kick. Best of all, I suffered no repercussions afterward--a minor miracle. The cheesesteak was excellent, the garlic roll added another layer of flavor, and the habanero sauce tied everything together. Honestly, I'm surprised Whit or Whitout doesn't get mentioned more often on social media. They deserve a lot more attention. Decor was all Philly!!

Everything is housemade here. That's what drew me in for a meatball parm, which was very good. The hot roast pork is delicious. I have never had a roast beef sandwich this good before... Do not choose what to have in the order I did. I could kick myself for not having the roast beef a long time ago.

My daughter in law picked up the food and they gave her an Italian hoagie for free that someone didn't pick up and threw in some free red velvet cookies which were delicious! I asked my DIL to get dessert and she got a walnut Brownie, and a huge chocolate chip cookie. So yummy! Washington township location. Highly recommend great food great service. Their deli makes some great sandwiches and also meals.... But who would've thought that adding a pizza oven to this place would wind up being the location of likely (in my fat ass opinion) the best pizza in the area? I'm not going to go detail by detail. But everything that a pizza should be from the crust to quality toppings, this produce business has somehow made happen in a very short time what other pizza shops haven't. No more flipping a coin or throwing a dart at where a pizza will be ordered from. I'll gladly make the drive here from now on.

There was food left out in the open uncovered such as pizza and bread/rolls on the counter where people walked past which didn't look very sanity. The store didn't feel clean and that could have been because the store needs some renovations. Additionally, I stood in the middle of the floor watching people and employees walk around the small store for about 7 minutes before I finally was able to stop someone and ask where I could pick up an order. My order was ready at the deli counter, but; I had to wait until someone came for me to pay for the food. I ended up paying more than $5 for my spouse's sandwich. I am no sure I would go back the look of the store and lack of service was is not appealing.

My girlfriend loves their Italian, but I opted for a turkey and cheese hoagie, and a chicken cutlet hoagie (suprimo). Listen, I get it now. These were great sandwiches. They had so much flavor for the simplicity of the ingredients on each. The cutlet had great, homemade taste and the sweet roasted peppers were the chefs kiss. The turkey and cheese had the right amount of everything on it. The only thing I've noticed both times I've been there is that the seeded rolls are significantly harder than the non seeded. I'm not sure if they just sat out a while, but regardless it didn't take away from my experience, just something I noticed. Service is always quick and kind, and the inside has that old deli feel to it with some booths to sit in. Good quality flavor is always going to have people coming back!

Since when do you have to tell a deli that you also want lettuce, tomato and onion? Or, if it's not automatically included, ask the customer if they want it on their sandwich. I will continue to get their macaroni salad as that is elite. Other than that, I'm done with them.

La Sicilia is one of those special places and I arrived to eat dinner because they were helping someone I know. There was no research involved and I was surprised to discover how close I live to this primarily takeout pizzeria/restaurant with a smiling and welcoming staff. I really did not know how small the dining area is at La Sicilia but there was room for myself and my friend Joe to enjoy a dinner to help others. Joe went the Chicken Parm dinner route but I went for pizza and "wings" (Chicken wings for those not in the know.). I did ask the staff whether their wings were any good and I was assured that people like them. We watched pleasant interactions with customers coming in for takeout, including a few people I know who chose to come to La Sicilia. First the good ... Joe reported that he REALLY liked the chicken Parm. He liked it so much that he ordered a take out Chicken Parm to bring home for his wife. I spoke with some friends who like me only came to support the fundraiser. One told me, "I told the men in my family we are changing pizzerias because the pizza at La Sicilia's is soooo good!" Another thdnkef me (As if I had anything to do with creating the food.) for telling them about the event because they plan to start coming to La Sicilia's for their pizza. I ordered "The Don" specialty pizza probably because of the website photo but also it sounded really good. It was "fine" and I enjoyed it. I am picky about pizza but next time (And, there will be a next time.) I will try a different pizza. Now as for the WINGS. First they asked "Ranch or Blue Cheese" never ever Ranch!! A big plus when they arrived was noting that the wings were not breaded. They were crisp and juicy but the fried wings were not coated with sauce in the kitchen instead they were plopped in a puddle of Frank's sauce on my plate. I ate every last wing but ... A big thank you for caring about people in need and due to that there are new regulars at La Sicilia's!!

Sometimes the simplest places are the ones that end up impressing you the most…read more Steak Out has been around forever, and after finally stopping in, I completely understand why. From the outside it looks like your classic neighborhood cheesesteak shop, but once you walk inside you're greeted by a surprisingly warm, rustic dining room filled with old license plates, wood accents, and just enough local character to make you want to sit down instead of grabbing your food and leaving. I ordered a cheesesteak, and this thing was absolutely loaded. Not one of those sandwiches where half the roll is empty--every bite was packed with tender, finely chopped steak. The meat was flavorful, cooked perfectly, and the cheese was melted throughout instead of just sitting on top. Sometimes cheesesteaks try to get fancy with a hundred toppings. This one proves you don't need any of that when the basics are done right. The surprise of the meal, though, was dessert. I figured I'd finish with a slice of cheesecake, expecting something ordinary. I was wrong. It was rich, creamy, and the perfect way to end the meal. It's the kind of dessert that makes you slow down and enjoy every bite. Service was friendly, the restaurant was spotless, and the atmosphere felt comfortable--exactly the kind of place you could bring family, grab lunch with coworkers, or stop by after a long day. South Jersey has no shortage of places claiming to have a great cheesesteak, but Steak Out has earned its reputation. When you combine generous portions, quality ingredients, a welcoming dining room, and a fantastic dessert, it's easy to see why this place has been a local favorite for so many years. This definitely won't be my last visit. There's still plenty left on the menu I want to try, but one thing is certain--the cheesesteak alone is worth the trip.
