Gotta bump my review up to 5 stars! I had a very generous gift card. We took some friends to happy hour. Parking is still easy because there is a nearby lot. Happy hour is 4-6:30, very lengthy. We secured some nice bar seats. The place was packed for a Thursday( the new Friday). Bar staff were great! We were greeted and served right away. Waters and happy hour drinks were ordered and quickly served. The blueberry mojito was absolutely delicious. We ordered quite a big selection of snacks. The onion tower, the loaded potatoes chips and the various sandwiches were all made fresh. My favorite was the homemade loaded chips with the generous portion of bacon and cheeses. The sliders were ok, could have used more protein. The accompanying French fries were awesome! Gotta love when a happy hour set of slides includes a full basket of fries.

We came here for a nice steak dinner and overall had an enjoyable experience. It is definitely on the pricey side but the service was good. We started with the crab cakes which were great. They were not dry and very moist. I hadn't had crab cakes in a while so these were a great way to start the meal. We also ordered the spinach artichoke dip with pita chips and it was flavorful and satisfying. For my drink, I had the Berry White martini. It surprisingly tasted like those red, white, and blue popsicles but not in a bad way! I also really loved the complimentary bread they served. It was warm, soft, and hard to stop eating. For my entree, I ordered the Trio of Medallions. The steak itself was cooked well but I only really enjoyed the peppercorn sauce. This one was rich and flavorful. The Oscar-style was a bit too much for my taste and the bacon gorgonzola was too salty. It all overpowered the steak. We also had the garlic roasted mashed potatoes on the side. They were fine but nothing particularly memorable.

We had a great experience at Eddie Merlot's last night. Nice relaxing environment where they don't rush you (at all)! Our server, Eric D, was wonderful and gave great recommendations. The meal was so well timed - we started with their calamari with 3 dipping sauces - the wasabi aioli was amazing. Calamari was perfectly cooked - no chew!! I had the rack of lamb and my husband had the bourbon ribeye and we both loved our meals. We chose truffle Parmesan fries and tempura green beans for our sides (family style) and felt they were great accompaniments. We will definitely go back!

Great ambience, service and food! Glad there's one in my neighborhood! We came for dinner and it did not disappoint. I love the lobster bisque and my chef's plate. There were 4 of us and each one ordered a different entree and appetizer, and they were all well-presented and flavorful! The cocktails were also really good, i.e., old fashioned, and good selections of wines. The ones we ordered were very good! Will definitely come back either for HHR or dinner.

so I wanna add a review of Eddie Merlot's. I've been here a couple times for social events, but the wife and I came here last Friday night, when my daughter was at a friends house. The two of us had a very nice meal. We sat at a high top at adjacent the bar area, and our server was wonderful. She was attentive and informative. The food was outstanding. I would highly recommend this place. If you're in the Loudoun One area, the ambience is very conservative and nice in the Bararea. They have a bunch of TVs where you can see current sporting events and the Restaurant area is white linens and high class. check it out. You may enjoy it. I wish I had pictures, but may add later.

Came by for a quick dinner and was promptly seated. The service was good, the food was tasty and the place was not at all very loud thus I could have a decent conversation over dinner with my friend.

    Caesar Salad - nothing special

My company hosted their 2025 holiday party at Eddie Merlot's. They were packed on a Saturday evening but we were in one of their private dining rooms. Pre-dinner drinks took forever, over 20+ minutes. For appetizers I tried the filet mignon potstickers, too sweet and not enough meat; miniature ahi tuna wontons, edible but nothing special; miniature beef Wellington, nothing special. For our salad course, I opted for the Caesar salad, standard, and SO had the king crab and corn bisque, smooth, touch of sweetness but no crab or corn was to be seen. Would have been nice to have crab and corn on top. I had the 8 oz. filet mignon with a side of mushrooms for my entree. My steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare. A little fattier than what I like but it was seasoned perfectly and the mushrooms were the perfect accompaniment. SO had the 16 oz. ribeye, he thoroughly enjoyed but would have liked A1 Bold and Spicy. He also said his steak was cooked a perfect medium. The table shared mashed potatoes with roasted garlic, just ok; sweet potato casserole, way too sweet; and Brussels sprouts with bacon, good but too charred. For dessert the chocolate cake was preferred over the carrot cake which was dry. The staff was professional, courteous, apologetic for the slow drink service and for me, besides the filet mignon, the highlight of my EM experience. I would not opt to return unless it was for a corporate event.

We love Eddie's Appetizers , can't go wrong with anything you get. I was never a fan of tuna but this got my attention. The flavors work and it's get you craving for more. We love to just come and enjoy with friends. Best servers are jo and joe.

Chilean Sea Bass with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Prime Ribeye

This was my first time going to Eddie Merlot's and I had an enjoyable experience. We were able to get a last minute reservation 2 hours before and the person that we spoke with on the phone was accommodating. When we arrived to the restaurant, our waitress was very attentive and we appreciated all her recommendations and took her up on a few of them. We started out with 2 appetizers, the crab cakes and tuna wontons. My favorite was the wontons, they were delicious. The crab cakes were not worth it for me because it was more stuffing and less crab. For the entree, I chose the Chilean sea bass with a portion of the mash potatoes. The sea bass was amazing. It was so soft and melted in your mouth. I also appreciated the fact that in the area we were seated there was a certain dress code. The decor was also unexpected but it gave the restaurant a nice touch.

Our son was visiting us this Xmas week and as he has visited at Eddie before, we decided for Friday's meal to visit. We requested a table and were seated promptly. Cassandra was our server and she gets a 5 star for being attentive, great suggestions and just excellent. Patrick was not around as he usually stops by for me to personally thank Cassandra. Stated with barbecue shrimp (excellent) and crab cakes (ordered 1 extra) for appetizers (excellent) For the main course Cassandra suggested The island Cedar Salmon and it was a superb choice (it's a big fish). My son decided for the first time to Prime NY strip. He has had other choices. Here he was disappointed as he felt it had little to no flavor. We passed on our comments to our server. For dessert we had our usual Vanilla Cognac Brownie. An excellent visit except for the steak.

Eddie Merlot's is a classic high end steakhouse, and i have very little to complain about. The food was good, and quick to arrive. Our waitress sarah was kind and fast to offer recommendations. At the time of arrival, at around 4:30, it was very slow. It was nice to see everyone was still cleaning and making ready for the inevitable dinner rush. It was a calm, quiet ambiance with soft music. Some things were under seasoned, some over, but it was hardly enough for me to gripe about. A lovely option for a place to celebrate or just to have a nice dinner and wine.

Great menu choice of the 3 medallions! I think one had a blue cheese topping on it which was very interesting but it was still great. Second was Oscar style - mashed potatoes tasted great as well. The seafood bisque was also AMAZING. 10/10 definitely get this if you come here. Old fashion was good but next time I would probably pair with a nice glass of red wine. Server was absolutely fantastic! Classy atmosphere but it does give me a little bit of a Cheesecake Factory vibe. it's a chain restaurant though so that's expected. I would suggest dimming the lights a bit and adding more candles. Overall very great and I would not be opposed to coming back. Menu was on the pricer side but it wasn't terrible. My 3 medallions were about $90.

The cozy atmosphere, stone hearth, and warm decor make it the perfect place for a date night, a special occasion, or just a great evening out. The food is outstanding. The crab dip, the housemade pasta, and the burger are all incredible -- clearly made with real care and quality ingredients. Service was warm and attentive, and the whole experience felt genuinely special without being stuffy. This place has become my go-to recommendation for anyone visiting the area. It projects an English modern cabin vibe, but with a touch on whimsy (see mustache coat hangers on booths!). The fireplace is centrally located and gives off an essence of coziness. Complimenting the ambiance, the service was great! The server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations. We came for brunch and ordered the breakfast burger and pork belly breakfast sandwich. We also split the avocado toast as a starter (we were starving!). The avocado toast was perfectly prepared - toast was cripsy on the outside and chewy and thick on the inside. Ample smattering of smashed avocado with the fixin's. The burger was very good and my friend said they would totally order it again. The pork belly breakfast sandwich held together perfectly despite the inside being heavy. Pork belly remained perfectly crunchy and it had a heavy helping of melted cheese that was not overpowering. Brunch was amazing and we want to go back and experience the patio when it's warmer and also some live music! Such a great vibe and good food!

We made reservations since we were a group of 6 including 2 infants, and these were warranted as the restaurant progressively filled up as we got closer to peak brunch hours. We were offered a large booth, which was appreciated as we needed space for the babies. The food here tasted quite good. My wife ordered the Pork Belly Benedict, which offered tender-crisp, thick slices of braised pork belly atop soft, buttery focaccia and coated with well poached eggs and creamy hollandaise. We both highly enjoyed my Broadlands Breakfast Sandwich, a clever take on a standard bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich swapping crispy, perfectly sweet French toast for standard bread. The breakfast potatoes served alongside were crispy on the outside with fluffy interiors and good seasoning. Our friends enjoyed their sandwiches as well. As the name alludes, the drink program is strong and offers something for everyone. In addition to wine and whisky, a solid selection of both cocktails and draft beers are available. Prices for both food and drinks were quite reasonable given the quality of what we received. I do dock a star for just so-so service. Our waitress was a bit MIA during the first part of our meal when we were trying to order, and then kept checking in on us every 5 minutes once our food arrived. We also had to remind her a few times to get a high chair for our little one. Fortunately, the food and drinks all arrived accurately and within a timely manner once ordered. Service woes aside, the creative fare satisfied our taste buds and we look forward to returning soon for to sample more of the brunch menu and libations.

I would recommend a reservation because with rain outside aka the patio being closed, the whole inside was packed. A lot of the seats are super close which feels very European but you can hear most peoples conversations which can be annoying. Our waitress was really sweet and stopped by a bunch. We started with French 75's, hot coffee, and an espresso martini. The drinks were refreshing and quite large for the price. The espresso martini really reminded me of a grown up hot chocolate, I really enjoyed it. I later also got a cucumber vodka martini and it was one of the most refreshing drinks I've ever had - definitely the drink of the summer. For our food we started with the baked brie with fig and garlic and the escargot. The brie was a unique take on baked brie, I loved the way the flavors all melded and the fact the cheese wasn't completely spilling out everywhere. The escargot was soft with a phenomenal crumb/butter mix, the whole things really melded well and melted in your mouth. The bread served with it was nice as well, if only I had a bit more of it. For our mains we were here during brunch so we got the lobster omelet and the French onion soup with the side of fries. The french onion soup was great, a good amount of cheese and onions without being overwhelming. Fries were fantastic and quite large, a big portion for $7. My husband loved the homemade baguette although I wonder if it's because the butter was so good; the bread itself was a little hard for me and of course room temp as is typical in France. Kids enjoyed the kids options (though preferred our dishes). Pasta in cream sauce and steak frites were their choices. It was really loud inside particularly when tables in the middle of the room were occupied. Outdoor patio might be pleasant for easier conversation.
