Hard for me to write but this is an honest review of Lance. So I asked for an undercut with middle part and even provided a video tutorial of how to achieve the cut. I came into the haircut with a middle part ... this is important for later. I have no issues with the fade, absolutely great work on Lance's part and if you are satisfied paying 55+ for a fade then he got you. I am however dissatisfied with Lance's styling of the top. So I wanted to grow out the top (to match the style I provided a video of) and asked if he could shape it such that it doesn't grow out awkwardly. So at the end of it all he says I should comb it back for the time being because it will take a while to grow?? I came in with a middle part, WANTED to grow out my middle part, and left with a different hairstyle LOL. He started styling the combover which I did not agree with but I went along with it since I thought I could just restyle it into a middle part at home. But when I washed my hair I realized he cut off/ awkwardly layered my hair such that I have hairs sticking out all over the place! Annoyed AF because now I have to wait weeks for the hair to grow out and settle. Basically setting me much further back from my goal. Additionally, what is pissing me off even more is that he gave me a cut/ style that I didn't ask for AT ALL. I'm starting to realize that he probably combed everything back to hide how much he butchered the top. Maybe something was lost in translation but during no part in the convo did I ask for a combover lol (been there done that). When I come in with a middle part and show you a step by step tutorial of a middle part, I kind of expect a middle part. Pretty long rant but had to get this off my chest. read more

Worst haircut I've ever had. Asked for 3/4 inches off the top with a scissor only cut and she immediately went in with a buzzer and took off 2 or 3 inches. I've had some bad experiences with hair salons but have been to Eddie's twice now and I love it. Very nice atmosphere, clean, and prompt service. I'm very picky when it comes to haircuts but MJ was great. She made sure that I was happy with what I got and asked if it looked okay throughout the process. Needed a last minute haircut since the guy I go to was out of town, I have medium long wavy hair that needs layers or else it's too heavy and bulky, I made an appointment because of all the good reviews, I go to my appointment nervous cuz it's new and I've gone to my guy for a while now, I go and immediately as I'm getting a consultation on what I want the lady first asked for a picture of what I wanted, that was a first for me and also her English wasn't the best and when I asked for layers and a trim she said "layers?" and I got worried that she didn't know and I was like yea layers and she asked to see a picture and I didn't have one so I just looked up middle part flow cuz that's what I had at the time, and I find a good picture and it show it to her and she's ohhh ok ok yea, and as we walk to the station to wash my hair my gut was saying nah let's just wait and I tell the girl I left something in my car and next thing you know I was out of there. I have come to Eddie's barber shop for over 2 years now, starting off with Eddie and now seeing Carla. Every single person that I have gotten a haircut from has been really great. Everyone is super friendly and I always have a good time chatting with them when I get my haircut. There is always some great music playing in the background too. What initially attracted me to this barber shop was it's clean aesthetic too, and it doesn't have this "bro" culture that a lot of the barber shops across LA have.
