Pizza squares! This place cuts their x-large pizzas into squares and it was a nice change up of the usual triangle. The process was very quick. Being from out of town, I was confused for a second where the door was but it is the metal door with the bollards. Once in, I just told them I was here to pick up and moments later I walked out with my pizzas! Inside there is a tiny bar area and then they have the seating area with a decent amount of tables. Typical 50s/60s pizza joint bar with a variety of menu items. Pizza is good. But last week my husband ordered the goulash special with a slice of garlic (?) bread for $11. Garlic bread did not taste like anymore than buttered bread throw on the grill. The goulash was terrible. Although the portion size was generous, the elbow macaroni was dry with very little tomato sauce providing specs of color. There were a few crumbles of meat (burger). It was NOT worth $11 - not for a bowl of dry pasta and a slice grilled sandwich bread. I've had good food here - roast beef sandwich, burrito, pizza, etc. I wouldn't order the goulash again. I want to make a suggestion for the wet burritos less hot sauce, make a sauce that isn't so hot because i was with a family member that said it's way too hot, i thought the same thing when i had one (like too much hot sauce) make less hamburger and more tomatoes, lettuce , cheese on top with onions on top. We used to go to the Rumneys up town sometimes twice a week for this the whole family would love them . This place would get more hopping if you did this. Just mention if you happen to change the sauce to light spicy sauce. While looking for where to find a good wet burrito in that area... I saw them online. Their wet burritos are huge, a bit on the spicy side w/lots of cheese, too. (I prefer more sauce not salsa.) The waitress was great; looking after our every need. Our food came out quickly and hot too! Pleased enough to return for a new dish/taco salad which was a super size! Yet again needed more dressing. We are on-again and off-again customers here. I'd be a happy camper if they were more consistent. We always order the same thing and I'm telling you, you never know what you're getting. It would be awesome if, when order extra cheese, and extra veggies, you'd actually get it. Especially with the fact they charge you for those items. This time I had a chicken wrap with chips, my husband got fajitas. We shared a large cobb salad. It was delicious. I ate the other half of cesar chicken wrap and chips in the car. This is a hometown, no frills establishment. We have eaten here more than a few times and have had reliable meals. Today I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich for the first time. I was excited about it because it comes with a giant onion ring on top. Nice! The chicken was chopped, not pulled. And a bit dry. How disappointing. I probably won't be ordering this again. My date got the meat lovers pizza. Delicious. Perfect dough between thick and thin crust, sauce with just the right tanginess, and a generous pile of toppings. First time patron after finding their Facebook page. After scouring it for information, Eddie's seems to embrace the same principles I have for making a pizza. Homemade dough, sauce, freshly grated cheese (not the anti-clump sprayed per-grated most stores sell... and yes, it makes a difference) and toppings. We were met with a smile from both waitresses on duty. We were told to sit anywhere we felt comfortable. We grabbed a booth in the back. Shortly afterward, our waitress came up, told us the specials, and took our drink order. All were delivered within a good time and were ice cold. I had a 9" pizza with pepperoni, ham, sausage, bacon, ground beef, onion, with double cheese. Yeah... I was hungry... so what? :-) Maybe if I go there enough and order it, they'll put it in the menu and name it after me... anyway...I digress. The pizza arrived steaming hot from the kitchen. If it was sitting around waiting, it certainly wasn't very long. The crust was golden brown. A nice crispness to it, yet not overdone. It was strong enough to hold all the topping I ordered without drooping. Any pizza place worth its salt will deliver a pizza like that. The toppings were nicely arranged on the pie. The sausage had good flavor. The bacon is just fantastic. Had a nice smoky flavor to it. And the cheese. Oh the cheese. I shoulda ordered 3X the cheese. It is definitely a 50/50 split... I'm guessing mozzarella and provolone from the pics. Melted perfectly over the generous portion of toppings. All in all, a great pizza. BUT... the piece de la resistance.... their peanut butter pie. If you haven't had it, you gotta try it. If I wasn't on duty and could leave my little area of home this weekend, we'd be heading back up there just to get some of that pie! Just, wow! There's no words... you just have to try some. It's a standard item, so it's available all the time (unless they run out) but it's not in a rotation or anything. You just have to try it. Also... I like the fact that the owner works the room, checks on everyone to make sure the food and service is working for them, and is extremely friendly. Thanks again for a wonderful evening. I recently ordered pizza and a large burrito to be delivered . As she brought it to the door she informed me they didn't give her any change . ( tactic ) To my dismay the driver handed me the pizza and the box was wet thru on the bottom and barely warm - even though my location is only 13 mins. away ! I ordered the large all meat burrito and was met with a mediocre small burrito 7" long and 7 semi-fresh yellow corn tortilla chips , Tomato and onion , 2 packets of sour cream and 1 small dish of salsa . all I had for a $60.11 bill was 50 and a 20 on me . When I opened the pizza box I was disappointed to note they obviously don't know the definition of the term THIN CRUST - as the crust was thick and doughy ! First off the lady taking my order messed it up horribly, I ordered my friends and I 3 chrispy chicken wraps and she came out with chicken quesadilla, 3 of them (cold of course), then she told us she wouldn't be able to correct our order in less then a half an hour, (already been there 45 minutes), she offered us 10 %off our order, which is no big deal but when she charges you for the gross 10 dollar soggy trash and no your 7 dollar wraps it's a big difference. My meal is normally 28 dollars for the wraps and drinks. today it was 33 with the discount, never again will I go there, been years of good service but when the manager and the blond taking your order dont help you our you lose customers, 0stars read more
