A half-hour later, he appeared, and, after assessing the problem, removed the damaged area along with the tee part that was corroded (it was at my insistence, as long as he was there). He explained everything he was going to do, and even let me help (holding flashlight, supplying towels, turning house faucets on and off as needed, etc.). About an hour later, the job was finished. Three weeks later (i.e., now!), it is still holding up, and I expect no problems. He was amiable without being patronizing, and the cost was about $300 cash, which I considered to be very reasonable. This review is 1.5 months late because I wanted to be sure that the repairs made by Felip at GME Plumbing held up after he completed the plumbing work. I took pictures and sent them to Felip and he provided a reasonable estimate which included parts and labor, so we hired him. Felip and his helper did excellent work, left the place clean, and took away the rubbish. We paid the price in his estimate; there were no surprise extra charges. He 1) Repaired a leaking shower, replaced seat of valve with a special tool. Two previous plumbers only changed the washers and the leaks never stopped. 2) Replaced washing machine valves located behind shower wall. 3) Removed an old leaky toilet and replaced it with a new toilet. It's been over a month since the repairs were completed and there have been no leaks. The water bill is 40% less because of the repairs Felip made. We are very happy with Felip's work and will definitely use him again should we have further plumbing issues.
