HAIR IN RICE ! I did a takeout order of food $69.38 for my family at home last night at your restaurant Eddie's Wok 'n' Roll in Mississauga, as I started to eat at home I noticed a hair in the rice. I got there email from Facebook page without any reply, When I called today was told they don't monitor emails said can't do anything. Never going there again!

FOOD: We had come here on a Sunday evening at around 6:30 pm for dinner. Since we were a group of four, we settled on a few dishes which we could all share; Lemon Chicken ($15.50), Thai Chili Chicken (Dry; $15.50), Butter Masala Chicken ($15.50), Cantonese Chow Mein (With Chicken & Shrimp; $14.45), and Beef With Ginger & Scallions ($14.25). In terms of the dishes, most of them were actually quite spicy, which for me, I found difficult to eat. The Thai Chili Chicken was good however, much too spicy, making me choke as I bit into the chicken. I also found the Beef With Ginger & Scallions too spicy as well, only eating a small portion as a result. I did like how the food came out hot (temperature-wise), which is how I usually like to eat my food. The Lemon Chicken was steaming for several minutes after we had received it, and tasted delicious, as each piece of chicken was smothered in lemon sauce, which was absolutely divine. One thing about the dishes though was that I found them to be a bit too small, with the cost being high for what we had received. Also, in terms of the spicy dishes, we weren't given the option as to a mild or high-spice level, which was something I wasn't too keen on. I did find that the dishes were given optimal care in being presented nicely, with fresh ingredients used, something that was duly noted. ATMOSPHERE: When we had entered this restaurant, it wasn't too busy however, as we sat down and looked at the menu, it became busier, with people blocking the entrance to wait as there was no designated waiting area. Also, it was much too loud, with the tables and chairs close together, making it hard for us to hear each other as we dined. I also found that it was difficult for the servers to walk by us, with us often having to squeeze in our chairs to let them through. The décor of the restaurant itself was quite nice, with chic pictures and light fixtures however, it was hard to really enjoy as it was much too crowded and loud at all times. SERVICE: When we had first arrived, it took a while to get our menus to order. It also took even longer to get water, which was something we weren't too keen on. We found that it was difficult to even find a server to ask a question when in need. We were always low on napkins and water, and we couldn't even ask someone for help as they weren't around too often. They also weren't too friendly, just the basics, and nothing more than that. COST: 1 Lemon Chicken ($15.50) + 1 Thai Chili Chicken (Dry; $15.50) + 1 Butter Masala Chicken ($15.50) + 1 Cantonese Chow Mein (With Chicken & Shrimp; $14.45) + Beef With Ginger & Scallions ($14.25) = $75.20 + Tax = $84.97 WOULD YOU RETURN? No; the prices were too high, and the atmosphere/service were not to my liking.

Big portions | Very Fresh | Fast service I'm giving Eddie's 5 stars because even through I haven't dined in. It's nice inside with lots of seating and a little waiting area with a fountain. It's also always rammed packed when we go to pick up take out. They're Manchurian fried rice is always so fresh. I like that they add cut ups bell peppers which I haven't seen anywhere else. It adds a nice crunch. The rice also has a little bit of a chewy bite, signifying the freshness. We usually get the chilli chicken which is also super good with great flavour. This time we go the General Tao chicken. It was also really good, but a little too sweet for me. All chicken/beef and fish dishes come with a single portion of white rice in case you just wanted to get that. It also comes with chillies in vinegar and a few hot sauce packers. While Eddie's is a few dollars more expensive then other Hakka places, it's definitely worth it for the quality and quantity that you get.General Tao ChickenManchurian Fried Rice

Excellent food Had heard lots of very good reviews about this place and it is excellent The quality taste service is superb super excellent The aroma quantity all really good The only negative here is it's sooo loud kiss crying loud ppl talking too noisy The ambience goes for a toss Ordered chilli chicken Nd shrimp chowmein the best in Toronto The food here rocks But sitting there it's like in the middle of a crowded street wth ppl loud Nd several kids crying Nooooo The best solution is take away order food and Bring it home to eat Every time I go there love it even more

We came here for a colleague's birthday lunch and it was just ok. I have been here a couple of times in the last few months (with work peeps as its fairly close to our office) and haven't been blown away. I find the food pretty oily in general. This most recent time I had the Manchurian paneer lunch special with steamed rice and requested less oil in the preparation. I find their dishes to be pretty heavy and this time was no exception so I wasn't able to finish my meal. Flavours were pretty good but the greasiness for me overpowers the dish. I will say their lunch specials are inexpensive and they do offer a lot of choices plus the portions are large so if you are into quantity over quality, give this place a try.

Been going to Eddie's for a while now and it's been one my favourite places to go for Hakka Chinese cuisine in Mississauga. Price: Prices have gone up slightly the last time I've visited (around 2 years or so). However, I do think the value of how much food you receive and the quality is at par or higher than to other Hakka restaurants. I usually only go for the lunch specials but I have ordered off the dinner menu a few times. Service: Service was ok. Myself and my mom both ordered lunch specials at the same time but I received the dish 15 mins later than my mom's dish. I did see large orders of food being given to Uber Eats carrier but the restaurant was overly busy so I'm not sure the reason. Everything was perfect but service could've been a bit better. Food: The food was excellent. Szechuan chicken was crispy yet soft and the peppers added a nice crunch to the meal. You do get a substantially amount of food for the lunch menu. I'd go back to try a bunch of the other options. Atmosphere: Interior is nice for the restaurant. It's unique for the second and main floor of the restaurant with the waiting area being in the middle of the restaurant. It's a restaurant that you can come to with family and friends.

We have been coming to this restaurant for minimum of 11 years and the food has gotten worst every time we visit. The last visit I rated it a three and now just 2 and I being generous. 11 years ago I in my mind this was a 5. The Manchurian Soup had almost no flavour, the Veggie Manchurian did not have a zing that a Manchurian dish normally has. The Paneer Fried Rice had lots of Paneer, but the entire dish has been cut in half from the last time we were here. The Mixed Veggie in Chilli Sauce was a shocker. We expected it to have Chili spice and high on flavour-guess what? It had nothing, no chillies, no spice and it tasted a bit Sour rather than the spice. The plain rice given with the two dishes come in a tiny tiny bowl.

As much as I would like to give this place a good review because the food was not bad. The portions were good. But I found the food very salty. Lollipop chicken was good. Hot and sour chicken was very good.

Came here on a Friday night and it was packed, so I knew it would be good! Their Hakka food is so flavourful and the portions are huge! We ordered 3 dishes between 2 people to share and by the end of the meal, it looked like we barely touched our food! Lots of leftovers for sure! If you like spicy food, this is the place to be (spice levels can also be adjusted!) The Tiger Prawn dish was my favourite and I found the Sesame beef okay. It was on the sweeter side. _______________________________________________________ What we tried: Tiger Prawn with Lobster Sauce, Crispy Sesame Beef, House Special Hakka Chow Mein

Not returning. Reason #1- service. The staff really don't care. They will take your order, bring the food and disappear until its time for the bill. We complained about our soup which had large piece of burnt flakes in it and she looked at the bowl, left it on the table next to us and never came back... um...? Also, when we paid the bill (left a generous tip) the server grabbed the machine, took the receipt and left.. no "thank you" or any acknowledgement. Its the little things that leave an impression on customers and saying thank you is basic manners. Reason #2- mediocre food for the price. I wouldn't say that its a very expensive restaurant but its definitely not cheap. The food was not entirely hot and the flavours of some of the dishes we ordered were very similar (maybe using the same sauce with a slight variation??). Our chicken corn soup had burnt flakes and when we brought it to the attention of the staff, nothing happened. Some positives: the lollipop chicken is delicious and plentiful. The sauce it comes with is a green chutney which has a perfect balance of mint, sour and spice. The interior is nice and well decorated.

Food Truck quality Chinese , cheap veggies used , super spicy not for food connoisseurs. South Asian may enjoy this food . No Chinese flavours at all . Only soya and spices . Disappointed !!

I am in my Sunday chill mode with my Pajamas and oily hair on when my husband mentions he is craving for noodles. Din take me more than two minutes to convince him for going out (yeah I am good at this). Now folks who are well familiar with typical Chinese Indian restaurants would know there is "Chinese" Chinese and then there is "Indian" Chinese. And for obvious reasons, I always prefer the latter. This reminded me of my friend recommending Eddie's Wok 'n' Roll Mississauga for Indian style chowmein, so we knew where we were heading. I tried calling them to inquire about lineup but nobody answered, so just decided to walk-in. The restaurant is located on Millcreek Dr. in Mississauga and we reached there around 7:30 pm. From what I had heard, I was not surprised to find a full house with around fifteen minutes wait. We were provided with menus while waiting to save the order time. There are many vegetarian options compared to other same genre restaurants. We went for a small vegetable hot & sour soup and vegetable Manchurian chowmein. Nevertheless, ordering well in advance did not really turned out the way I was thinking. It took good fifteen minutes after we were seated for the soup and approximately another fifteen minutes for chowmein. Quantity wise, small portion of soup is enough for two but the taste? Not so good. Well spiced but lacking flavors. The chowmein however is great. Unlike the name suggests, it does not contain Manchurian but has an aroma of Manchurian spices. The dish has every authenticity of Indian chowmein and took me back to streets of McLeod Ganj. From my second visit experience, I will say Vegetable Pakora is a good option to go for in appetizers. However, you definitely want to avoid their Vegetable House Special Hakka Chowmein. I would definitely go back for my occasional dose of nostalgia and to try other vegetarian items on the menu. Till then, happy surfing here for more food options in Eddie's Wok 'n' Roll Mississauga.

2019-12-31. Eddie's Wok N Roll. Mississauga, ON. Eddie's Wok N Roll is normally closed on Tuesday's, but being New Years Eve, they're open to serve on one of the business days of the year. Located in the Millcreek Plaza at the SE corner of Erin Mills Drive and Millcreek, there's plenty of free parking. The place isn't exactly small, but it's not big either. It's compact and seats 72 or so. There's a rear area by the kitchen that could probably seat an additional 12, but they use that area exclusively for staging take out and catering orders. They can accommodate parties of up to 10, but if you have more than that, you're looking at multiple tables. We were a larger group so we were able to order a nice array of dishes that filled the spectrum of cuisines made with Halal meats. For appetizers we ordered the fish pakora, the lollipop chicken, and the shrimp wonton for the kiddies. For mains, we had the Manchurian Fish, the House Special Hakka Chow Mein, Chicken Pad Thai, Mongolian Beef Sizzler, Mango Manchurian Shrimp, Crispy Sesame Beef, and the Laksam. In the interest of space, I'll be curt with my views of each dish. Fish Pakora. Indian and Hakka Pakora is typically super spicy, but this one wasn't. It was mildly spicy at best, so much so that my kids were able to handle it. Served with a side of green chutney which also packed very little heat. 3,5 stars. Lollipop Chicken. Another Indian Chinese dish, chicken drummies are Frenched and then deep fried. Some places batter it lightly with spices, but here it was au natural. This dish is typically served with some Szechuan heat, but here it was served with the same green chutney. This dish was more eye candy than taste bud explosion. 2 stars. Shrimp Wonton. A Chinese dish, minced shrimp is wrapped in wonton wrappers and deep fried. Served with a side of spicy sweet and sour sauce. It was just ok for me but the kids loved it. 3 stars. The Manchurian Fish is breaded, deep fried, and sauced. It can come spicy and non. The fish itself was pretty good, but they were heavy handed with the sauce. 3 stars. House Special Hakka Chow Mein. Chow Mein is a popular Taishan noodle from SE China that is dry fried. Hakka refers to the style in which it's prepared. Far from being an expert in Hakka foods, I wasn't sure what to expect. The dish was traditional Chow Mein with carrots, peppers, and bean sprouts stir fried in a wok. What was different was that it was flavoured with dry spices and not sauced. Hints of turmeric give the dish a nice pop, and shrimp was the protein of choice. 3,5 stars. Chicken Pad Thai. I'm not a fan if Pad Thai, but this one was prepared well. The noodle was neither too wet nor too dry. Unfortunately, it didn't quite carry the flavour well enough. 3 stars. Mongolian Beef Sizzler. Served on a hot iron plate, this was one dish that did display some heat. Nothing overbearing, but enough to define the dish. The beef was tender and the sauce was more Chinese than Mongolian. 4 stars. Mango Manchurian Shrimp. This was very similar to sweet and sour shrimp. I wasn't able to discern any presence of mango, and like the Manchurian Fish, they were heavy handed with the sauce. The kids didn't mind sopping this one up with their steamed rice. 3,5 stars. Crispy Sesame Beef. Slices of beef deep fried and honeyed, then topped with sesame seeds. Slightly too cooked for my liking as some pieces were dried out, but it was another hit with the kids. 3,5 stars. Laksam. So to me Laksa or Laksam is noodle soup, here it's Chicken Curry. The curry was a yellow curry, a little on the salty side, but full of flavour. Cumin, turmeric, and coconut milk did not make a huge showing but was present. 4 stars. Eddie's Wok N Roll is a pretty unique place. I'd say they're fusion, but they're really not. I'd say they're Xin Jiang (Northwestern China), but they're not that either. In the end I'd have to classify Eddie's as Manchurian, in both a literal and metaphorical sense. Eddie's is not a mix or blend of cuisines (aka fusion), but an overlapping grouping of foods and flavours as Manchuria is defined. At Eddie's, you'll find traditional dishes of north eastern China, south eastern China, and western China. Each with their own blend of spices and flavours. While the dishes were not unique, they do cover an array of foods from all over Asia, and they're pretty tasty. They are on the pricey side, but they don't serve you French portions either. The dishes are served family style as with all Chinese meals and are meant for sharing, so it's definitely better for mid sized groups (6 would be a pretty good number to get a nice variety). The only thing Eddie's is missing is cuisine from north western China. Some lamb dishes would be a great addition to the menu, a solid 3,5 star showing for me this dining experience. But if I have to round, it'd be up not down. If You would like to experience more, come dine-with-me.yelp.com I'd love to have your company... Bon Appétit!

Was provided a hot lemon infused cloth to clean up prior to going up to the stations to eat. Cup never emptied without an ask for refill. Very attentive the entire time. We were sat in the 'C' dining area area. There were room upon room so there's plenty of seating. Each room with a slightly different theme. Ours had a wall of beautiful fish tanks. The dining area, food stations and bathrooms were all very clean, which is so important at a buffet. They even have gloves at the end of each station in case you didn't want to touch the serving utensils with your bare hands. The variety of food goes from everything you can imagine at a Chinese buffet like sushi and fried rice to American options like burgers and fries, to surprises in-between like New England clam chowder and prime rib. Tons of dessert- hard ice cream, cakes, pies, fruit, jello, even Crème brûlée and waffles. One of my favorite surprises was the variety of mocktails. Most places offer me pop as a mocktail or a Shirley Temple at best. Decent pricing. Father's Day special dinner menu was $50/pp (Canadian) about $36/pp (American) which is pretty great for all you get and that's WITH their high tax. I believe the refular pricing is about $10/pp less. A must try only 30 minutes from Western NY.

They were quite busy with takeout orders which I took as a good sign. We ordered the Beef Sirloin Noodles level spicy and numb(4/5), Breaded Shrimp (5/5) Seafood Fried Rice (4/5) and Lamb Skewers (4/5). Beef Sirloin Noodles were delicious. The broth itself was not overly salty compared to other places we've been to. I enjoyed the addition of peanuts to this dish for that extra crunchy texture and nutty taste. The noodles were cooked perfectly. They were bouncy and chewy. The beef itself was good. Some were a tad bit chewy. I wish there was more bok choy. We'd also opt for extra spicy and extra numb next time. Breaded Shrimp was enjoyable. You can't go wrong with this dish. It was crispy, and the batter to shrimp ratio was decent. Seafood Fried Rice was good as well. Again, we liked how it wasn't overly salty. We were able to sense the taste of the seafood. I wish they added more scallops since we only got two pieces in the whole dish. Lamb Skewers were satisfying flavour-wise. We really liked the seasoning on them. It was on the chewier side but it was manageable. We'd like to try their other skewer options next time. Overall, such a good spot for affordable and delicious food. I'm glad my family recommended this place. I'd like to point out that a customer was being problematically entitled and rude yet the female server stayed professional. I thought she handled the situation quite calmly which I wanna commend her for. P.S. The restaurant has a sign on their door saying not to bring pets inside. For our group of four, we ordered: - B3 Salmon Congee $11 ($12 downtown) - H11 Chicken Salted Fish Fried Rice $18.25 ($19.75 downtown) - K34 Fried Bean Curd with Veggie $19.50 ($21.50 downtown) - K42 Salt and Pepper Squid $16.50 ($18.25 downtown) - K53 Fried Chili Turnip Cakes $13.75 ($15.00 downtown) Service was a bit slow, but not the longest as there were only 2-3 staff taking orders that day for about 15-20 tables. If you signaled for assistance, they will come. Once ordered thought, the food came out in about 5 mins and all the dishes were ready soon after. Tea is refilled on request, just ask. As usual, the fried rice and congee is what they are known for, it was excellent as usual. Depending on the group you go with, YMMV, but for our order combination, this usually works comes out at the same time and everything is hot and tasty. The turnip cakes are the softer type and they even accommodated checking for shrimp. They are usually good about seafood checks. All in all, great experience. With the discount and tips all in, it was less than $100 total at $25 per person. It has been a while since we've eaten out with a group at that price point. Will keep in mind to meetup at any of the non downtown locations in future.

Jenny made everything so smooth from ordering, to our requests and up until we finished up paid the bill. She was patient and kind which is what you need when being this busy. As for the food, well it's normal Congee Queen consistency. Normally good, maybe sometimes a little salty but nothing outstanding. Overall good for the price.

Whenever my boyfriend and I feel like having affordable but delicious Chinese food, we always go to…read moreMom's Pan Fried Bun. We've been to this location several times. This location is on the small side and the seating is quite limited. That said, whenever we come here Sunday afternoons, we never have trouble getting tables during walk-ins. The staff is always attentive and we never have to wait for much long for the food to come. They always ask you if you want water or tea. Usually also get a bowl of seaweed soup with your order (per person) though this time around we didn't get any. We ordered a lot for dinner. For appetizers, we ordered the braised pork pan-fried buns, which were amazing. The bun was really fluffy, and the filling was flavourful and just the right amount of juicy. We also had chive pork dumplings. These were also good, though I admit I prefer the pan-fried ones. In particular, our dumplings came out kind of gummy. We had some scallion pancakes which were nice and crispy, and very flavourful. Then, some dried beancurd sticks that were just the right amount of spiciness. Do keep in mind the beancurd sticks are cold (it surprised me the first time I had it). Finally, we had some honey garlic chicken wings. They fry their chicken wings really well, and they don't overdo the sauce which is great. We did have trouble fitting all of this on the table since we ordered so much. We managed, but just keep this in mind if you like to order a lot of appetizers. We each ordered a main. My boyfriend had the lemongrass chicken with egg on rice, which he enjoyed. I also enjoyed my Taiwanese braised pork. My pork dish was amazing and they cooked the egg really well. The portions here are very generous, and because it's affordable, I always recommend dropping by for some good Chinese food.

The space here is definitely smaller but seating was still very comfortable. Ordering is done via QR code through phone. The staff was friendly and service was quick and prompt. I do want to say that their pricing is very fair and reasonable. There is also free parking in front of the restaurant. I was missing my time in Taiwan so I ordered the Taiwanese Braised Pork and Egg on rice. We also ordered Pumpkin Pie with Red Bean Filling, stir-fried rice noodles with bean sprouts, Juicy Chinese Pork Burger, and their Juicy Cheese Beef Burger. Everything was quite good especially the Chinese Pork Burger. The outer shell was so crispy and the pork meat was so juicy and was seasoned just right. The Taiwanese Braised Pork rice was good but definitely not as good as in Taiwan lol. Also, if coming here, you have to try their signature pan fried buns. That is what they are known for. We didn't order it this time because we've had it a bunch of times already. Overall, this restaurant always hits. It's not the most amazing food but like the name suggest, It is very home style comfort food.

Cantonese food is my favorite cuisine and of all the restaurants I visited in Toronto this year,…read morethis was the most memorable. I wanted to try Peking Duck and got clued into J&Y as one of the best options to try which did not disappoint. The Peking Duck was so tender, so flavorful and so wonderfully succulent. It was perfectly prepared and sliced with the fat rendered and thinly sliced. The wraps were not the monstrous steamed buns but traditional translucent wraps which are super thin, soft and pliable. Scallions, cucumber, hoisin sauce completed each wrap which highlighted the duck. Definitely the best traditional Peking Duck preparation I've had in a very very long time. The remains of the duck were used for make a duck fried rice and duck soup, again both were amazing. It takes a certain skill to make fried rice cleanly without an excessive oily coating on each grain of rice. This was one of the best fried rices I've ever had! No gratuitous mushy frozen peas needlessly added either. Well seasoned fried pork ribs and veggies completed the courses I had, everything was truly wonderful and I hope to revisit again.

We went there for a pre-Father's Day dinner and left disappointed. This was actually our third or…read morefourth visit, and unfortunately each experience has been worse than the last. I was hoping to find something special on the menu. The Peking duck caught my eye at around $70, but then I discovered that almost everything else was extra--lettuce wraps, stir-fried duck meat, fried rice, and soup. By the time you add the extras, the bill is easily another $50 or more, bringing the total to well over $120. We decided to pass, and judging from the dishes we did order, that was probably the right decision. The hot and sour soup had plenty of heat and tang but lacked depth of flavor and was under-seasoned for my taste. Fortunately, we only ordered a small bowl. The deep-fried tofu was bland and forgettable. The stir-fried shrimp was acceptable but nothing special. The biggest disappointment was the sweet and sour pork. I specifically asked the server to make sure the pork was crispy, but it arrived soft and lumpy rather than light and crunchy. Even the complimentary red bean dessert soup was watery and lacked flavor. Our bill came to about $104 for two people. For the quality of the food, I didn't feel it offered good value. Sadly, after several disappointing visits, I don't think we'll be returning.

I've lived in Toronto, Durham, Peel and I can definitely say its been the hardest to find goood late night greasy Chinese food here in the Port Credit end of Mississauga. I'm still on the hunt! Customer service here was great. I called asked a few questions, than went in and grabbed a menu and went back to my car. Called over the phone and ordered she didn't know it was me and asked if i knew where they were located which was nice. So My order was General tao chicken ( we usually get chilli chicken but don't like it dry, prefer the sauced up spicy, so this is the equivalent at some places), chicken balls, chicken fried rice, and chicken wings. The total was about 40$, which is fair and the portions were alot less to what I was used to. The general tao chicken was not even a little bit spicy, even though she said it was so that was disappointing. On top of that the breaded part of the chicken was extremely soggy and the plate was full of soggy over cooked veggies underneath. the chicken wings were fried and greasy tasted great and well seasoned. Just not like what I'd usually get from a Chinese take out place as it just looked different the way it was breaded and fried. The rice was in a really small container w under cooked pieced of chicken that was very slimy and white and the rice was very bland. I had to overkill w soy sauce and bit of red sauce. Lastly the chicken balls of course 80% balls 20% chicken but tasted fine, just nothing special. I mean it was cheap and last minute but i definitely feel like i would not have ordered here if i had known cheap or not. They have alot to improve on or mayb they are better at making other items listed in reviews from others. Not sure how they have 5 stars. but hey to each their own right!
