My husband recently passed away, and I truly did not know what to do or where to begin. From the moment I arrived, they were considerate, patient, and understanding. I felt genuinely supported, as if they had taken me under their wing during a very difficult time. They addressed my concerns promptly, clearly explained everything, and fixed the issue. I will be trusting Pride Auto with my car from this point forward and cannot recommend them highly enough.

I am not writing this review seeking any monetary resolution. I'm sharing this experience because…read morethe fear tactics, story changes, and manipulative behavior used by the shop manager Josh to cover what was likely an honest mistake at the time. What started as a simple oil change on my 2023 VW Atlas at 55,800 miles turned into a $500 bill and one of the most unprofessional customer experiences I've ever had. During my inspection, Pride flagged both my front and rear differentials as contaminated, showing me photos of fluid samples in paper cups. They told me the fluid was too dark, warned me it could cut my car's value in half if I wasn't under warranty, and said it was a VW-only service they couldn't perform. They told me to get to a dealership asap and to not delay. This was a Friday at 5:30 PM. I was at VW when they opened Monday at 8:00 AM. VW informed me the fluid in question is gear oil. It is naturally dark. That is its normal color. Pride created urgency and alarm over fluid that was behaving exactly as it should. The rear differential service I had done was based solely on the concern Pride raised, which VW confirmed was unfounded following the inspection Pride themselves recommended. As for the front differential, Pride accessed it during the inspection and compromised the plug in the process. VW informed me that once that plug is removed, a fluid service is mandatory with no option to decline. I was forced into a service on a component with no documented issue, solely because Pride accessed a system they admitted they couldn't service and didn't have the parts or fluid for. When I called to understand what happened, shop manager Josh was condescending and dismissive, telling me he was "glad VW serviced what was obviously a needed service." It wasn't due for another 4,200 miles. He then left a voicemail insisting they did nothing wrong, that the dealership was screwing me over, and asked me to remove my review before I had even posted one, as I was still trying to understand what happened. He claimed they only accessed the rear via a check plug and never touched the front. He then texted me claiming the front differential is sealed and that VW was selling me an unnecessary service, while embedding Pride's own inspection report in that same text showing a photo of front differential fluid in a paper cup labeled as contaminated. I replied asking "How'd we get this for the front?" He never responded. There is no innocent explanation for how Pride obtained a fluid sample from a system they claim they never accessed. Either they accessed it without the knowledge or equipment to do so safely, or they fabricated the finding entirely. What pushed this from frustrating to unacceptable: I never told Josh which dealership I went to. He called every VW dealership in the Denver metro area until he found the one I was at, then called and berated their service staff. VW confirmed this to me directly when I picked up my car. Josh claimed VW was ripping me off. If that's true, why was my entire $500 bill limited to servicing what Pride should not have accessed? On top of everything else, Pride flagged my battery as failing and recommended a nearly $400 replacement. VW tested it and confirmed it is in perfect condition. Not a single additional repair was recommended or sold to me at the dealership. I have the inspection report, voicemail, text exchange, and VW invoice to document.

I referred my elderly parents to Rick and some friends from work. My parents had an older Toyota 4runner and Rick really worked with them to get it running great. Rick never took advantage of my elderly parents such as other places had, and he really took extra care, over and above what I would consider customer service with them. I really appreciate Rick, and you just don't find them like this now days.

I scheduled an appointment and--unlike SO many other mechanic shops--they were actually ready for my vehicle at the appointment time! Rick and Joe are just great. Not only did they make the repairs in a timely manner, they brought to my attention a couple of other things that should be taken care of at some point, but weren't critical; I had them make the repairs. At no time did I feel that I was being pressured to pay for more repairs than is necessary and I guess because I'm an elderly woman, people try to take advantage of me sometimes (especially mechanics!). Hey--I may be old, but I'm not stupid. The price I paid was reasonable and better than other mechanics I've used in the Denver metro area. I was so happy with their work that I asked if they could take a look at my classic BMW (the last shop, Saul's, did more harm than good); I wanted to know if the work I paid for was actually done, and how well (the car had new issues after taking it to Saul's). Even though they don't advertise as a shop for BMWs, or for classics, they did a little work on it and made a huge improvement in the sound and feel (complicated stuff) of the car. I think I'm going to have to bring it back in to try a couple of new things to make it perfect, but it's like night and day already. I am spreading the word, and I know plenty of people who aren't thrilled with their mechanics--yet!

We have had a warranty repair for a coolant leak and no questions asked, they fixed the issue at no cost. We've also had them do some exhaust work (cat converter), alternator replacement, water pump, oil changes, diagnostics... we've used them a lot. The only issue I have is their cost for parts. They will do the repair using customer parts, but no warranty if you go that route. If the part fails, that's on you... But, they literally charge 2x retail for the parts they have quoted me when doing repairs. At least that's what I've found when checking on parts they've installed for me. I understand shops need to make a little love on what they install, but they seem high. We all have a choice and I chose to pay them more to do the work so I didn't have to. If you need a reliable shop that does good work, and you don't mind paying a little extra, they're good. Will they recommend stuff for preventive maintenance and try to upsell you? Yes, of course they will, but they've never recommended something to me that I wasn't already expecting. No complaints, I'm just whining about their parts pricing, which is why I only gave 4 stars.

I cannot recommend this place enough!…read more After owning my Tesla, and not really having to deal with car maintenance aside from overnight updates to my software, I must admit I was dreading getting the oil change. I remember a few years ago going to a place in Denver for a simple oil change and return to pick up my car with hundreds of dollars of extra charges for things they insisted I "NEEDED" and I was dreading that this might be the same. I was surprised and delighted by how friendly everyone working there was. They took great care of my car and had it completed sooner than expected, even without an appointment. I will say the location is a bit tricky, not that it's hard to get to, but it's a bit confusing because it is connected to another shop. When you pull in past the gas station where Google and Apple Maps will lead you the first entrance and bay of garages is actually for a shop that is connected to the side. You have to keep going along the front Side of the building and then you'll see their entrance and garages about halfway down. You'll know you venture the right spot when you see incredible Lego build in the lobby. It was only $100 to have my BMW oil changed and the oil filter. They did say I would need a new air filter on my next visit, but they only charge the $40 or whatever the cost is without markup when you add it to your oil change. This all seemed very reasonable to me. It was much less than I expected actually. Another detail I appreciated, worth mentioning is the fact that the sticker of my mileage and when to return on my window typed and printed not hand written. I was really relieved to see this. I know it's probably not a big deal but I hate when it is some sloppy marker writing stuck in the corner of my car window for the next 3 to 6 months. It looks cleaner and more professional. Thank you so much to the team, I'm grateful to have found a place that will make having my car maintenance done done much less painful :-)

Above and Beyond We…read morewere using the Rickenbaugh Volvo dealership for a decade we started feeling like their service department was taking advantage of us. After getting treated poorly at the dealership when questioning certain services and prices, we called Parker Imports to compared options and prices. We found their prices to be better with a must more friendly advisor that took time explaining things. About a year ago we had the dreaded check engine light come on. Parker Imports found a common leaking problem with our model and explained options, which to fix appropriately, woild be a full set of gaskets, 12 or so in all. The work was completed and PI requested to keep the vehicle an extra night to ensure it wasn't still leaking. Well, they found it was still leaking and the culprit was a defective gasket from the set. The tech had to redo the whole thing, which I researched and saw how involved this job is. it was completedMay correctly and we appreciated the care that went into working with us and explaining the steps. Instead of just off giving our Volvo back the tech had the expertise to keep testing, which saved us brining the Volvo back. We thank thay tech for all the hard work. PI did not charge us more, nor complain about the extra time it took to fix it right. Fast forward to Feb 2025 and another check engine light comes on. It was yet another leak AND the supercharger was leaking too. A supercharger replacement was suggested by PI when we replaced the gasket set but opted not too. Well, the Same tech had to go back in and do a different seal and resolved the charger. This fix was costly so they agreed to work with me on the price. They were honest and friendly the entire time. Thank you!
