Just left Eden Spa and I,m angry sad! My daughter and I had 1:30 appointments for mani pedis. We waited for an hour before they put us in chairs. The owner manager rushed through our pedicures when my daughter said you only massaged one leg she argued with her. I was sitting next to her and I asked why she wasn't listening to my daughter and she insisted that she did. More or less she called her a liar. She then said she didn't have time for my massage but I didn't have to pay for the Eden Deluxe pedicure. I've been going there for many years and i will never go back. read more

This place changed hands and service has plummeted. Used to love going here! My recent experiences include a gloppy dripping pedicure had to be redone... Gel manicure (for my wedding) started peeling up on day 2, had to run in and BEG for them to patch it but the while thing only lasted 4 days then every corner came up. When I brought this up to the new "owner?" She was rude instead if apologetic like I did something wrong. Little effort to make good on the mess. She's very busy talking and texting and less than pleasant. Borderline nasty. Went in yesterday and manicurist started aggressively filing my nails down as though I had gels on and I did not. This is one of the worst nail salons I've ever been to. It's super outdated. They don't have colored acrylic, don't know how to do designs or anything. Three people did my nails and I'm not sure why they kept changing. The girl who finished my nails didn't even put a topcoat over my entire nail. When i get to the front the guy (co owner) who was checking me out said I couldn't pay with my American Express card and was trying to look in where I'd pulled it out of to see if i had another one. I told him i used it here before and he finally checked me out. If you like basic subpar nails then check it out, if you like quality for your money find another salon like yesterday. read more

I've been to this salon about 3 times. My first visit the gentleman doing my pedicure spent an hour talking about how he could do my pink/white acrylics better then my manicurist. Despite telling him all hour, I'm loyal to my manicurist of 15 years. My visit last week ( my very last visit) I was amazed at how rude the same gentleman and owner ( receptionist ) were. The owner literally said my freshly done manicure looked horrible. " you like your nails like that, they look horrible?" She and the gentleman came to me many times during the hour to continue their rude comments. Angie, the very sweet girl doing my pedicure was incredibly embarrassed, and apologized many times for their incredibly rude behavior. I was a little hesitant to visit another spa with the wifey due to what had happened to me last year. I begrudgingly agreed to accompany her to get our pedi / mani done for a wedding we were attending that same evening. As we walked in we were greeted and seated promptly. They have some really nice comfy leather seats that vibrate and i really needed that since i was a bit uncomfortable sitting there. I became more relaxed when i saw a biker / construction dude sitting near us also getting his pedi / mani done. I'll give him credit for getting his toe nails painted in black. The ladies were cool with me and as usual tried to up sell me on added extra treatments and i gave in on most of them with the exception of putting that freaking acid on my feet again. I gotta say that the sugar scrub thingy they put on your feet is effing rad and it feels good (you can get a similar scrub thingy @ trader joes - me likes). I was politely asked kinda jokingly if i wanted my toe nails painted the same color as my wifey and i almost gave in (not). Sorry, i don't do painted toe nails or finger nails. This experience was a little more relaxing than the last one which was hell for me. read more

So I will start by admitting that I didn't ask the price for Gel nails before we sat down and I wasn't aware of how much they run for as I had never gotten them before, so that was my fault. I assumed the most they would be is $25, since everyone gets them now. After the nails were done, which were very short (my request) and didn't include a manicure it was just gel nails, they charged $32, plus $4 tip that i was suckered into, then they said if I didn't have cash for tip and wanted it added to credit card payment it woukd be a $1 more. Total was $37. When I asked my niece how much she paid for gel nails she said she pays for manicure, gel nails AND pedicure for $30. Then I was upset, this place is a rip off, that's a great difference in pricing. They didn't do an amazing or even great job either, so felt horrible after. read more

I have come to this salon off and on over the past few years. I noticed an improvement in service and overall experience when I returned about a month ago. There was never anything wrong with the actual mani-pedi, it just wasn't quite as friendly. Now they are very friendly, I have been there twice now within a shorter span of time and they remembered me. I normally just get absorbed into my magazine but this time I chatted a bit and felt more comfortable just being there checking things out. I believe they have a new owner. The techs are all sweethearts and very helpful. I use their nail services and also their waxing, both are great. I hope that they start using hot wax as opposed to the strip wax, then this would be 5 stars for sure. For those of you that haven't used hot wax, it's the bomb and you hardly get red after (I have pretty sensitive skin). Well priced, they of course try to up-sell you (add a flower to your toes, get more waxing, pumice your heal, JUST KNOW THESE THINGS COST MORE ANYWHERE YOU GO so check on those kinds of things) but I don't mind at all and they are not pushy at all. Language can be a bit of a barrier but the owner (Tina) speaks a lot of English and teaches her techs English as things come up (very cool). They have tons of nail polish brands and colors, including my favorite brand, O.P.I. in pretty much every color I have every wanted. I have been a regular here for 2 years and have consistently received excellent service. I was hesitant to try a salon in Tujunga after many disappointing experiences at area salons including La Crescenta and La Canada but Eden was a pleasant surprise. The Salon is nicely decorated, clean and pleasing. There are 6 whirlpool massage chairs which are kept clean and sanitized immediately upon use. Disposable manicure tools are used for each client. The employees are friendly and seem happy to have you as a customer as opposed to other nail salons where they act like they are doing you a favor by letting you patronize their salon (You know what I mean ladies..). Most remarkable is that the pedicures seem to last forever. After 2 weeks the paint still looks new and I've gone 3 weeks and still feel presentable. The waxing jobs are great so I often show up for a Mani, Pedi and eyebrow wax - $40 total sans tip. This salon gets busy on Friday evening and weekends so call ahead and make an appt and bring cash for tips as tips cannot be included on credit/debit transactions. read more

I love this place! I have been coming here for about 3 years and they are amazing! They always see me when I call and they are great with the amount of time for my appointment. Their prices seem no different from the other salons, maybe a little more but not by much. I know what I'm going to get and they do a great job! I love having Joanne doing my nails. I love this salon, they are friendly and always fit me in as a walk-in, even if they are close to closing. I have never had a bad experience here. I went in and ask for a sparkly gel colored to be blended ombre style and they figured it out for me and gave me beautiful nails. Decided to try this place for my elderly disabled mother, who is in a care home nearby. I told the employee exactly the services which were to be performed and after dropping my mother off agreed to come back in an hour. Well, the employee(s) took advantage of that situation and performed work beyond what I specifically told them to do, charging me beyond what we had agreed to for the work I requested . In essence, they committed a form of theft and took complete advantage of a elderly disabled person. Myself and family members have gone to this salon for a few years. I have been annoyed several times by the owner trying to up sell me after I arrive at the salon but continued to make appointments because they had a great technician, Judy who did meticulous work. The owner would try and hurry Judy to work faster constantly. Judy took pride in her work and was well paid with high tips by my family members and myself. My daughter told me she found out through other family members who had visited the salon that Judy was no longer working at Eden. I told my daughter I wouldn't go there anymore as the owner is rude and pushy. One of my daughters went in today for a mani and pedicure. Instead of getting the girl she had requested they gave her a new technician who had no experience whatsoever. My daughter's cuticles are actually visibly cut in four places and bloody. My husband and I were shocked that she even paid for the service. She told the owner that you can't have someone practice on paying customers. That's the final straw for my family. I tried this salon for waxing on a recommendation from a good friend. Cindy the waxer was really thorough and the process took about 20 minutes. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and taken back right away. I love my regular salon, but since this place is so close to my house, I can just stop in. I get my nails done here all the time. They do have alot of business so I would always recommend to call ahead just to let them know that you would like to come in. If not sometimes there is a little wait time. Everyone is very friendly here and they make you feel welcomed. I also love that it is very clean here and everything always looks sanitary. This place is expensive... i had my nails done different colors on hands and toes.. one red.. green.. pink.. blue.. yellow.. all gel and got charged an extra $20 on top of the regular gel manicure.. plus gel manicures there last not even max 3 weeks!!!!! I found a better place in Santa Monica no extra fees and nail gels last over a month over 8 weeks thisplace is called Deluxe Nail Salon on Main Street Santa Monica plus they use OPI brand gel nail polish I believe this why the gel nails last longer!!! read more

Got a full set by David but didn't catch the name of the woman who did my pedicure. David has been doing nails for 14 years and it shows, he did an awesome job! I really love my nails. Coffin tip in a nude/pink. As for the pedicure, the woman was so careful with her brush strokes I felt like she was painting a portrait instead of toes lol. But the end result was great. When I say Esther is the best of the best, I honestly mean it. She's the reason I'll always come back to Eden spa. It's not the fanciest salon and I've always had an issue with the lack of variety in matching regular and gel polishes, however, Esther's quality of work is beyond perfection. I'm extremely picky about my nails and I can say she is truly an artist. As a regular client, they've always been very gracious to fit me in even at a late notice. The owner Grace is also very kind and really welcoming as well. She remembers everyone and makes you feel very taken care of. I used to come here all the time get my eyebrows done and a mani pedi. I just came here on Wednesday 7/22/15 and GEEZES. THEY JACKED ME UP. It's been about 3months since I've last been here and I've always enjoyed my visit. But yesterday was bad. 1. I made an appointment because the place is usually packed, but the person who was on the phone ( a man) was extremely rude and hung up on me before even taking my name. 2. They weren't busy at all which I found odd but that's great for me, right. But I get to the desk and the guy is on his phone playing games and completely ignoring me while I'm trying to get his attention. Sir, I do not like you. 3. I get seen to get my eyebrows waxed and I tell her I just want them cleaned up, I didn't have thin shaved eyebrows and it was clear how my eyebrows already looked. I was just there for a clean up. Really wasn't much to have to fix. ... So I tell the lady how I'd like them and she nods and smiles. The wax was extremely hot and burned my cheek. Realize: CHEEK not even close to my eyebrows. I can understand a mistake but after im constantly telling you that it's too hot and her response is just to smile and nod I knew I was in trouble. ANYWAAYYSSS. Now I have no eyebrows. They're extremely thin. I wish I had a before picture :/ 3. the wax lady tried charging me a completely different price than what's advertised on their flyer. Don't play me woman. I've come here with my mom since I was probably 12, so a good 6 years. My mom only ever gets a pedicure, and they do good pedicures. I was happy. Since I've gotten older, I started getting acrlyics here. The guy who did them the last time I had them done (about 3 weeks ago) was terrible. When he did them before they were terrible as well. He didn't touch my cuticles and when I walked out it already looked like I could use a fill. I've lost two nails (the third with a band-aid is hanging on by its last thread). My nails always lift when I get them done by him. Given, it's been three weeks. But I've had them stay on for over 4 when I was really busy and didn't have time for a fill when they were done by other places. This is a good place to go if you want to spend $45 on a municure. Its a nice spot-on the inside- and they do a really good job on mani/pedis. However; the place is in a shit hole part of Sunland and is really overpriced for their location and services. They charged me extra for using 2 colors on ONE nail. I don't get that, they're still using the same amount of polish.....I got gel, which they charged an extra $18 dollars for and then $15 for the manicure and an additional $8 for the 'two colors.' RIP OFF!! And the lady asked me 76 times if I wanted 'extras' They're notorious for charging people different prices and one of my friends went back a few weeks ago and got her money back because she called them out on it. The girls here are polite and fun. Every month or so I come in to get a gel polish mani and a pedi. The owner Tina is truly a sweetheart and makes sure you are comfortable and happy. When you become a frequent client they always remember your name and all the things you've talked about time to time. That type of service is what I appreciate.
