The women that supply the services here are phenomenal. they do tend to run a little late, but their work is impeccable, so it's fine. They are kind and thorough they go out of their way to mani and pedi you to your hearts content, with several options in the pedicure section if you want fizzles and your dry cracked feet to be smooth and presentable this is your saving grace!!!! "UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER:" Thank you for the apology regarding the cuts, but I need to clarify the facts regarding the severe damage done to my natural nail layers. Since you claim my "before" picture could have been taken at any time, I am explicitly uploading additional photos of my nails from throughout this year to show a consistent history of my natural nail health. The "before" photo I provided was taken exactly two days prior to my appointment. My natural nails were incredibly strong and long--so much so that your technician explicitly looked at the undersides of my nails during the appointment to verify if they were my real nails or extensions. A tiny bit of gel lifting on two fingers does not change the fact that the rest of my nail beds were perfectly healthy before walking into your salon. Regardless of what base was on my nails, a professional gel removal should never result in raw, painful "rings of fire" and bleeding cuticles. The e-file was used recklessly, and too many layers of my natural nail were taken off. Free cuticle oil and nail strengthener cannot instantly fix over-filed, physically thinned nail beds that now hurt to the touch. This salon gave me an INFECTION!! Yesterday I had come in to get a classic pedicure with regular nail polish. Being a nail technician myself, I knew it wasn't a good idea to come to salons like this, but after a long day of clients I just wanted to relax. Throughout the entire pedicure process, i noticed that NONE of the tools they were using had been clean nor sanitized properly. the sanding band on the nail drill that they USED on my toes had already been used on previous clients, as it had a ton of built up nail dust before it even touched my feet. Keep in mind, those sanding bands, as well as any sort of nail files, legally are to be disposed after every single client. the nail file that they had also used was not new, as it had streak/scratch marks from previous sets. the woman who did my pedicure had also used cuticle clippers (i won't be surprised if those had not been properly sanitized either) to cut the corners of my toe nails, and was extremely rough. the next morning, i woke up to my big toe red, swollen, and in pain. I got it checked out today and was told i have an infection, and i now have to use antibiotics. I have never had any problems with my feet before. that is including infections, ingrowns, etc. This salon is extremely unhygienic. read more

I have been coming here since they opened. Susan is amazing. She has been with me since my 3 inch acrylic era. Let me tell you she's phenomenal. All the girls are, Tiffany always makes time for me. Tiffany also does incredible nail sets. For my birthday she did cheetah French tips that were *chefs kiss* . Karen does amazing gel pedicures. I highly recommend this place. Hands down the most embarrassing excuse for a nail salon that's ever existed. Incompetent staff, no sense of care for customers. I've been in here twice to get something done and both times the lack of customer service has driven me straight out of this bunk joint to the nearest actual nail salon in the area. Take your money across the street to Vinpearl or go down to La Canada to TJ Nails for insanely better service and cost probably as well. read more

Extremely disappointed. I've been a loyal customer here for seven years, but after today, I will never return. I was called to confirm 40 minutes before my appointment, & even checked that they were not running late to which the owner said she's on time , yet after arriving on time and waiting 25 minutes, I was treated with extreme rudeness by the owner. When I calmly asked for my time to be respected, the owner--who didn't apologize for the wait--rudely told me, "if you don't like it, you can go to somebody else." Truly the most terrible nail set ever. I have no problems when I come here, even when a nail tech has placed my nails on crooked or cut me I just move on. But today, I was charged $80 for the most uneven, incredibly messy nail art. TWICE during the appointment I called out that paint was missing in the silver, and it was not fixed nor cleaned up. You can see in the photos it is so messy and uneven! It is even more insane that I call back two hours later to complain about this and inquire about a color change because of how bad this is and being told I'd still have to pay to fix the mess the technician put on my nails. I literally can't even go to work with nails this messy due to being customer facing. What an inconvenience! If a tech can't do nail art, that is fine but they should say it before pretending like they can and ruining the customer's nails! I will say the application of the gel x is great, but paying essentially $100 (because of the fee to fix this) is what will push me from coming back read more

I recently changed salons to come to L'Amour after trying out a bunch in the La Crescenta/Tujunga/Sunland area that just kept slacking off. I'm very picky with my nails and they're extremely patient to make sure my nails looks exactly how I want - even if I sound like I'm hesitating. Most times I'm too uncomfortable to ask for a redo, but Tiffany always double checks so I leave happy. I also didn't expect the prices to be as affordable considering the quality of service; that's why I'm willing to drive to Tujunga for it. They're always updating colors, the nail techs are familiar with the top trending designs on pinterest and instagram, and best of all, there's a huge parking lot so I don't have to waste time finding a spot before my appointment. I have never been to a nail salon where the workers did not know how to do nails properly. I got a regular pedicure and gel nails. Gel nails should NOT be denting and peeling off within hours. I just brushed up against something and there were all kinds of scratches and dents in my nails. Then the next day, one of my gels lifted off. My nail wasn't even broken. I noticed while they were doing my nails that they didn't seem very skilled, but I thought it wasn't a big deal because gels will hold up strong. But I don't know if they didn't even use gel nails, but after 4 days, 5 of my nails have lifted off. I see a lot of reviews about the workers being rude; and I do agree they weren't the nicest. But they are just NOT skilled. I went here for the convenience of the location because I had another appointment for something nearby. But I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

This review is long overdue as I've been coming to this salon for probably over 6 years now. They always do a great job no matter who does my nails, and they are super accommodating with appointments. They have endless colors to choose from for gel, dip powder etc. I'm picky with the shape which is why I wont go anywhere else. I have been coming here for a year now, today was so unexpected and unprofessional. I first would like to start off and say that in my past encounters at this nail salon, they have never done me wrong. They have understood what i've always wanted and executed it perfectly. However, today took the cake. I asked for a set I got done from them a month ago. I also showed pictures and told them how I want it to be. While she was doing my nails, she was rough, almost cutting me while filing. Then it comes to the gel x application, she slaps my hands. When it came to the final product, my nails were not even CLOSE to what I asked for. I received "shark teeth" nails. I ended up telling them this isn't want I asked for. They didn't accommodate or say they would do the set again. Instead tiffany said I will reshape them how you want. The problem not only was the shape, but it was the length. Not only did I end up paying, I was told for the next appointment to try and achieve what I wanted, I had to pay. While talking to Tiffany, she attempted to gaslight me and say my nails are curved a specific way, when they're not (I do nails btw). She then brought up inconsistencies of how the lady doing my nails measured the gel x tips wit two different styles (not true btw). Then she said "well some technicians are tougher than the other" Trying to excuse her colleges behavior. I had enough and told her this is how my nails looked like when i first started doing nail art, and gel x. For instance when doing gel x, you want to pick a size that's shape doesn't change other than a slight file. Then you want to make sure the nail edges stay straight (i'll provide evidence in photos). Unfortunately my nails are left looking horrible, and weird. I would like to add that tiffany and the other girl that did my nails, are rude and don't have any class in the way they speak. Don't get your nails done here, they clearly don't care about regular clients. Yelling at my mother, and on top of that not caring that they made our experience horrible.
