We found the wines - and the entire experience of tasting there - really fabulous. They were pouring multiple wines from 07 and 08 that were off-the-charts wonderful for $10! And, the wines were reasonably priced...like in the $40, not $80, range. The little tasting room was cool and comfortable on a really hot day and the wines served at the perfect temperature plus they offered some food. The service was friendly and knowledgeable but not pretentious. And, the mansion and grounds were lovely to see. read more

THIS IS A REVIEW FOR THE WEDDING VENUE PART OF THE WINERY. It was beautiful, large, scenic home with a well kept garden, old fashioned feel. It was big enough to have a fairly large wedding, 100+ maybe, and it offered a romantic atmosphere. Cons: Only 2 ladies toilets that I noticed and their wine that they offered was way under par(and I'm no wine snob). There were also lots of Mosquitos! I worked here some time ago and had a some issues that left a bitter tase with the way the owner ran things but Lisa has restored my faith! She is so wonderful and deserves all the business she can get! I brought my 3 yr old daughter there and she gave her so much attention all while paying mind to the other customers like it was a breeze. Great location, beautiful grounds and tasting room. They definitely produce intense wines... high alcohol and bold flavors. I hope they read these reviews because the one thing that REALLY needs an upgrade is the glassware they serve the tastings in. The tastings are served in short, thick walled, rolled-rim glassware that allows absolutely no development of the nose of the wine... honestly, I couldn't get the nose on any of the wine we tasted. They even have Riedel glasses that are branded with their name but still serve in these awful glasses. Please upgrade Edenvale! Your wine is good, staff is friendly, and grounds are beautiful... don't let a poorly chosen glass ruin the experience. read more

Beautiful property for a small winery with lots of pretty things to look at and places to relax as you enjoy your wine. We liked their malbac the best and everyone was really friendly. They do weddings here as well (which is why we were there) and it was a great location. There are a few very pretty areas here for the ceremony and/or reception. read more

EdenVale Winery ruined our Mother's Day!!!! Do not spend your money on any of their events. We purchased a large amount of tickets for $35 a piece to High Tea in the Garden. They advertised high tea with music and light bites, $35 seemed a little steep for what was advertised but we were excited none the less. When we arrived it was clear that the event was highly disorganized. We asked about a glass of wine which, for $35 a ticket at a WINERY, we assumed we would at least get a glass of wine with our purchase. Nope! We were not offered any drinks as part of our purchase. There was no TEA served at HIGH TEA!!!! Are you kidding me? Buffet light bites were served soon after the tent was opened for entrance, the first 1/4 of attendees lined up for food, we lined up shortly after and by the time we made it to the buffet, the food was almost gone. We got a lemon bar, two pieces of watermelon and a brownie. I asked if the staff were going to reset the buffet, they said yes, but only a couple of items were replenished. They knew how many tickets were sold before the event, so you can't tell me they didn't know how to plan for food for their guests. This was a terrible experience that felt like a huge rip off. It was so bad, even the staff were apologizing. I emailed the general manager to attempt to rectify our dissatisfaction and EdenVale chose not to even bother to reply to my email. Talking with friends the next day (who used to be wine club members), this unfortunately seems to be the new norm for their events. Do not waste your money or be embarrassed taking friends and family to EdenVale like I was. I look forward to a chance for reconciliation but from their lack of response, I highly doubt I will receive that opportunity. Very sad. read more

A gem in Medford! Host Aaron cheerfully welcomed us and shared the history of the vineyard. Have a variety of wines to taste test for a small sum and he was more than generous with the servings. The pear concoctions were delightful and tickled the palette with very little after taste. Host Aaron was more than willing to alter the taste samples to meet our wine preferences. Bought some home in our hydro. The prices were quite reasonable. Aaron- we enjoyed our visit and you definitely made it special. read more

Edenvale is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful winery with stunning views, friendly staff, nicely decorated and very clean. A group of friends and I went for their salsa night and while we had a good time together, it seemed like a VERY new event that they're still trying to figure out. There is no table service, and appeared to only be one bar open which had an incredibly long line. I, among others I noticed, got my food over an hour after ordering after having to go up to the bar and check on it (I hate being that person, but I had already had a glass of wine and definitely needed food). There were numbers on the tables corresponding to orders but the place was crowded and it seemed that the servers who brought out the food were having a hard time locating such small table numbers in a sea of tables and people. The food was also underwhelming, it looked thrown together and was small for the price. I was very confused as to why there seemed to be more turmeric than chorizo in my queso con chorizo...The service overall looked a bit chaotic. There were no napkins and, as a former bartender here in Oregon who is aware of how strict OLCC regulations are, I was surprised that there were no glasses of water being offered at all, only small bottles for purchase. The staff was very nice, but couldn't seem to answer any of our questions about the menu. The people handing out wristbands at the entrance table also didn't seem to know what was going on, as they were not affiliated with the winery. Overall, 2 stars for the welcoming staff and beautiful atmosphere plus bonus points for actually having a salsa night (thank goodness, they are hard to come by here), but it wasn't the best experience this time. If this is a new event as I assumed, I would like to come back once it's on its feet and see what it's like. read more

Nice place, needs tweaking. Went there for one of their summer concert events. Were surprised that attendance was sparse, despite being a holiday weekend, nice setting, nice weather plus live band. Problem? To start, charging $8 for your least expensive glass of wine, wine you are producing yourself. It doesn't exactly encourage customers to have more than one. NO water served, as in other restaurants and you have to order by standing in line. Food: Ordered Margarita pizza that came with a very skimpy amount of tomatoes and barely noticeable shreds of basil, despite being 30% more expensive than the best pizzeria in town. It was also under-baked. The "olive pate" tasted nice and garlicky, came with toasted bread rounds and was presented well. Only problem was that no olive taste could be detected. We really wanted to like this place, but feel no great wish to return. Hopefully the owners will adjust prices downward and quality upward, because there is a lot of potential. You can create more buzz by understanding your customers than with overestimating your product. read more

This is a heads up for anyone who comes here during their live band evenings. The music was good. We weren't aware of the $10 per person cover, but that would've been okay if the service and food were good. Unfortunately they were not. The service was almost nonexistent. They were severly understaffed and did not have waiters taking orders - instead, you had to stand in line for over 10 minutes to place your order. When we were placing our order the person taking it was new and did not know any details about the food items and some of the drinks. She asked another one of the servers and he knew very little as well. I asked what kind of beans were in a taco - the response was "regular beans." That is not a thing. The fruit/cheese and meat platters were good, but none of the other items we ordered were good. And actually, one of our orders never arrived. We waited about an hour and then just canceled the order. Also, they told us we could not have a glass of tap water, they had bottles of water only (for purchase), and nobody received any napkins with their food. All in all, it seemed very chaotic and disorganized and like they were not ready for the amount of people that showed up to the event. I have received much better service and quality at several other wineries in the Ashland/Medford area. I hope Edenvale can improve their events. read more

Hello Lover!! Finally. I have discovered what I have been looking for! History,quaintness,hospitality and most importantly...great wine. The winery sits upon a historical landmark and the old carriage house serves as the tasting room. The stately mansion sits in the background as a constant reminder of the area's story. In the tasting room I was impressed by the wine educators wine knowledge and was so happy to hear that they genuinely loved what they did for a living! The wines were fabulous and I can't think of one that I didn't like. When it was time to leave they made some great referrals to some other small, intimate local wineries as well as local restaurants. I will definitely be booking another trip to the area and am excited to see the growth of the wine region when I return. read more
