The staff was very helpful and answered all of my questions, from parking details to resort fees. Since my friends were also staying at the hotel, I requested to be on the same floor if availability allowed. I was pleasantly surprised to find that we were placed directly across the hall from each other--thank you to the staff for accommodating that request! The staff was friendly overall, and check-in was easy. The lobby is located on the sixth floor, which is a bit unique but not an issue. Parking is included in the price, and the in-and-out access to the lot was a great perk. I stayed in a room on the 10th floor with a pool view and was pleasantly surprised to with an ocean view too. It was great to enjoy coffee on the balcony! The room was clean and spacious. That said, the desk chair was noticeably scuffed on the back, and the bathroom mirror had scratches on the glass--both items that could use replacing. The hotel itself was quiet at night, which made for a restful stay. The next morning, I tried the breakfast buffet, which was disappointing. There were no hot food options such as eggs or oatmeal, and the coffee was not very good. While I was able to find something to eat, the breakfast offerings could definitely be improved. Overall, I would stay here again when visiting Clearwater Beach, though I would likely skip the breakfast buffet next time. One thing to note is that during busy seasons, the elevators--especially between the parking area, lobby, and guest rooms--can get crowded, which may result in longer wait times. BEWARE! Drove 5 hours today 2/14/2025 to the hotel for a 3 night stay I had booked and received email confirmations. Once I arrived I was told the hotel overbooked by double and I did not have a room. No options were given, nothing! My kids and I had nowhere to stay for our vacation. I never write reviews, and I want to be clear I do not blame the staff about what happened. We had a fine time until the last night. Good location, cool pool, the room needs some improvement. However, the AC is placed directly next to the bed, so anyone sleeping on that side gets the AC directly to their face. Our last night, the hotel (and block) lost power for several hours. During the blackout, the hotel kitchen developed smoke and set off the fire alarm at 12am. We were evacuated with my 8month pregnant wife walking down 9 flights of steps. After sitting outside in the heat for 30 minutes, we were allowed to go back into the still powerless hotel. We all squeezed in shifts onto the emergency powered elevator back to our dark rooms. Within the next hour, the lights came back on. I ask the front desk the next morning if we could get anything at all in compensation for that hellish night. We were told they could not do anything for us. We didn't even receive an apology. The management could have given us literally anything for at least making us evacuate due to issues going on in there kitchen in the middle of the night. Not even mentioning the hours of lost power. Obviously we are upset with the lack of caring. Unprofessional and disgusting practice. read more

The hotel is mediocre. The location to the beach is great. While it's not beach front, it's just a short walk that isn't bad at all. The staff members my family interacted with were pretty friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We stayed in a 2 queen room which was spacious, but the furniture seemed pretty worn and ready for an update. We found the beds to be slightly too soft and unsupportive. When booking a place to stay, we tend to prioritize a good breakfast bar and much like the hotel itself, we found this breakfast bar to be mediocre. The yogurts were barely chilled, the fresh fruit didn't look appealing, the juice options were extremely watered down and it was carb heavy. The only protein option was hard boiled eggs that weren't great. I was hoping for some scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon and some hash browns but those staple breakfast items were missing. This wouldn't be my first choice to stay at again, but if it were the right price and there were limited options I'd consider it. read more

I had a really amazing time at the Edge. I did go with lower expectations and was very happy with the experience upon leaving. I will say don't go by all bad Yelp reviews or you will never experience hotels that could possibly be amazing. (Almost did that and would have totally missed staying here!) The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a lil situation and they were quick to address it and switch our room. I loved the 2nd room we received, it was amazing! Great view and we also had live music from the Holiday Inn next door that we could see and listen to from our balcony. The view from the L floor outside by the infinity pool is amazing! This morning I caught a rainbow, saw dolphins, and seagulls. Theres also a lot of birds. It's really peaceful to eat breakfast out there with the view of the entire gulf (or bay, not sure what water that is) you can see the bridge as well. I love this hotel because it wraps around where you can see the ocean as well as sitting right above a huge sea of water. It's super nice. Also, the view from Jimmys on the top floor is SO pretty! The pool was really cute, especially the infinity one. They both light up at night as well which is really nice and theres a bar which is great. The only suggestion is allow children to be in the pool between certain times. There were A LOT of kids, and along with those kids were parents that really didn't care to watch them or any courtesy to everyone else in the pool. This one mother that thought it was time to teach her child how to swim, in the small pool, while crowded, so her child was jumping in, kicking as hard as she could, which hit everyone else in the face with water, and the mother was too busy on her phone to even care or say anything (because obv she didn't give a dam). That part was super annoying. I would DEF suggest a designated part of the big pool for kids or a time schedule for kid use. The rooms are huge. The bathrooms are large and the bed was comfortable. Our room was clean and by the end of the trip I really fell in love with this hotel. I will be back for sure! read more

he view from the Gulf side room (408)! The room was sparkling clean, beds were divinely comfortable, extra linens provided for chilly nights. All the staff were friendly and warm. The room itself was spacious with everything one would need, microwave, mini-fridge,hair dryer. The pools were clear, perfect temperature, and the "edge pool" with the gulf view was amazing. The pool area was spotless with plenty of chaise lounges and shaded areas as well as table and chairs. The breakfast was simple, hardboiled eggs, pancakes, cereal,fruit,juice and coffee. Everything was delicious and fresh and again the warm reception from the attendants in this area just made the whole experience a pleasant one. The one negative of our whole experience was the loud, nerve grating music at the pool around the bar. Na,na, na, na, na,na,na na na nananananana . Same 3 songs same artist over and over and over till it drove us from the pool deck. I went to the front desk to ask if it could be changed and they graciously turned it off so we could hear the gentle soothing sounds of the surf as we watched boats go by. At this time of year it is mostly "baby boomers". Perhaps one could stream Pandora with the appropriate music selection for the guests? Changing the selection to a more broad selection ? PLEASE change the music. The background music should enhance the experience and is something to be enjoyed not ENDURED! When I asked the staff about it they were also dismayed at hearing the same three songs looped over and over. In contrast, after dark we sat on the pool deck and listened to the live music from the hotel next door which we enjoyed immensely! We will return again next January for this lovely tropical experience in the midst of a season of brutal cold, snow and ice! read more

We have spent many vacations at the Edge. The location is close to beach access, the views are amazing, the pool has both an ocean and golf view. There are many good restaurants in walking distance. The staff has always been very pleasant. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because in the past couple years the house keeping has started to slip. I'll admit that I'm very picky about having a clean hotel room. I want to continue to stay at the Edge for vacations but I hope they focus more on their house keeping. read more

We were in the area and decided to stay the night, so we stopped here and they had plenty of rooms available. The host at the desk wasn't the most friendliest person I've ever met, but it didn't stop us from staying. We asked for a wake up call for the next morning but never received one, thank goodness we didn't have to catch a flight. The hotel is in a great location with so much fun only steps away from the door. Plenty of restaurants, stores, bike rentals, scooters and bars. We loved this location and would definitely stay here again. Parking is easy and in a multi story garage. The bartender at the pool, Jordan, is awesome ! Great sense of humor, awesome vibe and great drinks. The pool is nice, overlooking the water and the sunset was an added touch. Our room was spacious, comfortable bed and a balcony to see the sunrise. The restaurant/ bar on the rooftop was fun and even when a storm came through they kept business as usual. They don't have an upscale restaurant anymore and at our visit (May) haven't adjusted the signs in the building to remove the restaurant name. Drinks are good. We never ate at the rooftop bar. Edge Hotel was a solid find in Clearwater Beach. It's a good medium between a crappy, run-down, smelly, old hotel and and fancy, nice, new, crazy expensive hotel. The rooms probably would score 3/5 on cleanliness. The bathrooms were spotless luckily, but I noticed some splatters on the walls, and the floors weren't super clean. I just kept my shoes on the whole time! The employees at the front desk were helpful, pleasant, and kind. They helped me get refunded for an accidental double charge of the $29 amenity fee, and they answered my many questions about best restaurants and where to find the drinking fountain etc. I also LOVED that they weren't mask sticklers! It was amazing to be able to ask for pool towels without being told to put on a mask for 5 seconds while I walked through the doors to the pool area. The pool is smaller than it looks in pictures, but it is still nice. The famous edge pool is also pretty small and shallow, but it was a fun experience! We watched the sunset from the edge pool one night, and it was beautiful! There is also a ping pong table at the pool area, but there aren't any balls to play with. Breakfast is fine for COVID style, though I don't know why everything has to be pre-packaged if the CDC says there's no evidence of the virus transmitting through food. They have muffins, granola bars, yogurt, packaged fruit, cereal, and hardboiled eggs. Not bad I guess! The elevators are SO SLOW. One time we had to wait for 4 minutes for it to come to our floor! It was insane! And there are no stairs to use except for emergency stairs that only open up to the ground level. We came to stay here for a few nights. First night we went to rooftop bar area about 8:30 pm and couldn't get any service, we waited at the bar but they were just too under staffed. We left and had a way more enjoyable dinner experience on the water next door at Jimmy's at the The Holiday Inn that has live music. On Sunday the 23rd at about 6pm ish, my Husband and I met another couple in the infinity pool, which had about 10-15 other people in and near. We had been in the pool for about 30+ minutes when a man with a mustache yells at our group from the bar area about 30 feet away from us. He scolded us to keep our drinks out of the pool. It was as if we should have known that this was a rule. About 5-10 minutes later he scolds us again while pointing and yells from the bar again and says, "this is your second warning and I am not going to tell you again or your out!" The audacity of this man in a management role to scold paying guests for a rule THAT IS NOT POSTED ANYWHERE!!!! That's when we responded, "where is that sign posted?" He then left after that with no response and never to be seen again. Brooke the bartender was there and will absolutely know this manager's name. Everyone at the pool then joined in our conversation about how unnecessary and ridiculous that display was. He should have came over and said it respectfully, yelling is unprofessional and inappropriate! By the way everyone has drinks in and around the pool. The side of the pool at that time was littered by empty plastic cups. There are way too many hotels to give your money too, don't waste it here. A big child man with a temper is running this place. If he'd yell at guests I am sure his employees are intimidated by him. We looked the next morning for signage to confirm that there weren't any signs posted regarding this "rule". We asked the host at front desk and 2 bartenders, nobody could confirm this was a rule. I called the General Manager, Michael he couldn't tell me who the manager was that worked yesterday and as I explained our experience he said, "clearly you can't have drinks in the pool." I stopped him and asked him how we would know this. He couldn't answer that. read more

I would do like 3.5 stars if I could. It was an ok stay. We loved the pool. The view from our room was really nice. For the negatives: the pillows were about as comfortable as a saltine cracker. The doors slam shut so don't plan on sleeping in unless you're a heavy sleeper. And our sink did not drain properly (although they came and fixed it right away when we told them about it). Edge Hotel was absolutely one of the most stunning hotels I've ever been to. You cannot beat the location either, especially if you have a ocean front room like I did. Starting from the hotel lobby, it was gorgeous and clean. I LOVED the decor and style at this hotel. There's a large pool area with two pools - one infinity pool overlooking the ocean and one very large pool that illuminates in purple lighting at night! On the rest of the pool deck is table seating perfect for eating your complimentary breakfast at in the morning. Also, there are many lounge chairs to sit and relax, overlooking the ocean. In the room, it was large, comfortable, and very clean and the balcony was nice and private. We could see everything from our balcony. Boats speeding by, manatees, jumping dolphins, and schools of fish! The Edge is the perfect place to be near the beach and the restaurants on the strip - no driving around needed and there's free private garage parking for guests! We stayed 3 nights in January (weather was in mid 60s). Very clean. We had an ocean view room on the 9th floor it was a corner room so we got two windows with an awesome view! It was more expensive for an ocean view room but 100% worth it!!!! It was breathtaking to walk out onto the balcony each morning. The room had a thermostat control. Lots of storage. 5 mins walking distance to beach. Staff was friendly and wore masks. Breakfast included each morning (be sure to bring your breakfast tickets they give you at checkin) it was a covid breakfast so everything prepackaged. The rooms were clean and comfortable, food was very good and reasonably priced. My husband had a health issue that required us leaving early. Their housekeeping first day in Did not fulfill their service! At two pm room wasn't clean! No cart and neither servant! We didn't call them afterwards, Our baby boy was sleeping. At five pm there was no point! And neither housekeeping! Guest service there was full success! They're quick and very pleasant! We wanted just to thank you guys! Your timing was amazing! I have never wanted to hop on Yelp so bad in my entire life to write a NASTY review...until now. My family of 5, and I stayed at the EDGE HOTEL for one night on 12/27/19 (off season). We had a king room and a room with 2 queen beds. The rooms were modern and clean- but nothing spectacular for being a fairly new hotel...It cost about $748.00 total for both rooms, not including an amenity fee of $64. We used Booking.com (which was the cheapest rate we could find after many hours of research.) Both booking.com AND the hotel itself charged us an amenity fee. When confronting the front desk about the double charge they told us to contact booking.com because it was "not their problem" that booking.com charged us a fee that the hotel personally had to charge- This would have been completely understandable IF the infinity pool would have been working- an amenity. Not to mention, after traveling all day, it would have been nice to take a hot shower. However, the hotel was having issues with their hot water supply and we were told it would be several hours before the hot water would be back on. It took a full day. We received no apology from the front desk while checking out...nor, did we receive any sort of compensation. Yet, we still had to pay the hotel amenity fee (that we were already charged for through booking.com) for NO HOT WATER. We were simply told "engineers have been here all night, there is nothing we can do about it"... oh yeah Karen, how about not charging me nearly $1000 to stay one night in your shit-hole establishment. Give me a friggen coupon to footlocker or subway or something. We received nothing but a piss-poor excuse. Let's move onto breakfast now that we have the amenities squared away... the complimentary breakfast was AVERAGE. As if we were staying at the Holiday Inn. Nothing great. It was located in a small area for the amount of people they were trying to accommodate for. They were having trouble keeping up with the demand/supply of food and their pancake maker was broken. We also had to wait several minutes to "claim a table". Simply, not impressed for the amount of money we were charged per night. The elevators were running slow, again, struggling to keep up with the demand of people. I had no problem using the stairs (even 7 months pregnant) to the 10th floor...they were hard to find, and were NOT up to code as plate covers were missing and open electrical was exposed in plain view- but better then waiting 20 minutes to use the elevator. I will never stay here again. Nor will I recommend this establishment. read more

I loved staying here! They're big, clean, friendly, and accommodating. 1) they have a jimmy on the edge on the top floor which has great drinks and good food! 2) they have heated infinity pool. Absolutely worst experience I have EVER had at a hotel. We stay at many... this 2 week trip thus was our last of 3 and we stayed 4 nights. Upon checkin of our "harbor view" room we were greeted by a musty smell and crappy view overlooking building and construction. I called down to the desk and asked how much it would cost to be moved to a different room and am told $100.15. We go down to the desk and after talking to 2 people we were told they'd take care of it and moved our room- same floor with a decent view. First, housekeeping stole my (newer) Fitbit Sense while we hung out at the beach for 3 hrs Saturday morning. Shame on me for trusting and leaving it out of the safe.... then after checkout I check my statement to find a $700 charge. I had to calls 3 times... the first 2 being told that they could see the charge but don't know what it's for... and the manager isn't available. Finally I get in touch with the manager who tells me it's for our room upgrade. Not only was I told it would cost $100.15 (NOT PER DAY) then was told they were taking care of it. We would have NEVER changed rooms had we know this, and $700 for a room on the same floor is obsurd. Our view was okay at best and it's not like the hotel is on the beach where it might be worth actually paying that. It rained all weekend and we maybe came across 10 other families/couple staying at the near vacant hotel. I'm absolutely livid about this charge and their terrible customer service. The front desk people were snooty, never smiled, and couldn't be bothered. The bartenders at Jimmy's and 505 were excellent however. DO NOT stay here unless you want to be ripped off, and carefully read all their reviews (the ones they haven't had deleted that is). The Edge Hotel is relatively new,2 years old to be exact. It sits on the edge of Clearwater Beach. They have a parking garage, a pool, a rooftop covered restaurant/bar, outdoor seating, free WiFi, beach access,breakfast is extra. The room was beautiful and we had a gorgeous view of the pool and beach from our balcony. The hotel is within walking distance of restaurants and a bigger part of Clearwater Beach. My room was decorated for my early birthday weekend, so you'll see that in my photos. I would recommend the Edge Hotel to my friends,and I'm looking forward to staying again myself. read more

Let us say this is NOT a 4 star hotel! Priceline says it's rating is 4.7 That is BS! To say positive things it is a Good location and newer (little over 2 years +)! Room was spacious and clean! The check in staff was reasonably pleasant after we couldn't even find the entrance nor lobby! It is on the sixth floor! We wound up coming thru the back entrance the first time! Also the housekeeping young lady was sweet and made us a decorative towel! Nice touch! It stopped there! Whoever does the personnel hiring should be fired! The staff is beyond sultry and totally disinterested! Especially the "free" $29 + tax add on breakfast charge (includes the parking for one car) AFTER ALL THE OTHER RIP OFF FEES AND TAXES! They walked or stood around like zombies especially at the "free" buffet! The food sucked stacked with the cheapest of fruit and refrigerated low grade pastry if you could call them that! Watered down weak coffee only a dishwasher would love! Think the scrambled eggs were powdered but if not they were awful either way. If a Hampton Inn or La Quinta manager saw this place and compared they would be proud of their their own buffets! nuff said! Never saw a member of senior management or even a front end manager in 3 1/2 days! No one seemed to care whatsoever! Don't know if it was because it was off season (like 10% full) or what! Your money would be well spent elsewhere! We gave it 2 stars because of the location and even that fooled us! We thought it was easy access to Clearwater Beach but in reality was 2 blocks away. The other star was for the size of the room and the maid service! Very friendly even though no English! Bathrooms are prefab cookie cut showers with the lowest water pressure in a long long time! When we tried to move the flat screen because it is placed stupidly Little did we know it extracted The connection because The clowns who installed it made the electrical Wires too short! They were even annoyed at that when asked to fix it! In all fairness it was rectified quickly. When we checked out we got a grunt! Not even a thank you or anything! Merry Christmas to you all too! The hotel over all is nice. We give it a low rating due to the extremely rude assistant manager.
