Due to poor communication and concerning previous reviews, we decided not to move forward with Edge Landscaping, owned by Tony. He repeatedly said he would show up but failed to do so multiple times. only coming once after we followed up several times. He also sent a random individual to our property without notice or introduction, which was unprofessional and uncomfortable. When approaching individual he stated he didn't speak English and did not know Tony. Although Tony eventually agreed to issue a refund, he gave us a check we politely declined due to concerns about how he conducts business. Since then, he has been unresponsive and has made no effort to return the funds. We are now in the process of filing a civil suit. Unfortunately, it's clear that nothing has changed. Tony is still conducting business in a shady and untrustworthy manner. Save yourself the headache and the hassle -- stay far away from this company. read more

TONY HAS TAKEN MY MONEY AND DISAPPEARED. I worked with Tony before and he did a good job at my last house. But the project he attempted for my was too big and he was not able to properly do the fence project we discussed. Tony started working on our fence (3 weeks late) they took down the original fence but he was not able to put up a straight retaining wall and I stopped him from completing the project before it was too late. I put down a deposit with him of $4000 and he has now disappeared. Here is brief summary of the issues: - Started working over 1 month after he said he would start - would say work was going to be done and not show up - show up to start working hours after he said he would - sent 1 guy (who only spoke Vietnamese) to do a 2 man job - did not follow up on the paper work - could not keep the job site clean or organized and made a total mess If you need your yard mowed or cleaned he can do it! Tony did a great job in my front and back lawn for winter cleanup. They cleaned grass that was growing into the sidewalk, and installed edging. We wanted a gravel pad for a shed to be built in the back yard. I needed a large area for the10'x20' shed, so I asked Tony to make the pad 12x22. His crew cut the sod and dug out 4 yards of soil, squared up and graded the site prepped for 6" crushed 5/8 minus compacted gravel. We are pleased with the work and the price was reasonable and what I expected. I do not hesitate to recommend these guys. read more

Tony and his team from Edge Landscaping worked MAGIC in my backyard. The entire parcel is just under 1/3 of an acre and was overgrown with three years of dead fall, English ivy, nettles, overgrown hedges, and other debris. I tried to do the work myself, but it was too big of a job for me. Tony was great to work with and his team was very professional, friendly, and efficient. They gave us the best bid amount and exceeded our expectations by far. Tony will be out again on Monday to give us a bid on a fence. I'll start by saying the final product is great. We had pavers installed in a small section off our patio area. Good: Pavers look great, the quality appears to be good so far, and they were able to get to work very quickly compared to several other companies we spoke with. Ok: The communication was a bit slow, especially when we were trying to tell them we wanted their business! And although they started the project early, it ended up taking a little longer than we were told which didn't allow us to monitor what was going on Which leads me to the last part... Bad: Cleanup. Since it took longer than we were told, we had to leave before they were done. A few hours later we receive a text from our neighbor saying theirs dirt all over their patio and outdoor furniture. Apparently the work decided to clean off the remaining dirt/sand with high powered blower, and just sent it up in the air and not only all over our patio furniture/BBQ/toys, and windows, but all over our neighbors backyard. When our neighbors told them to stop, they just turned and blew it the other direction onto the other neighbors back patio. Obviously they were trying to take a shortcut thru the cleanup and since we weren't home we couldn't stop them. My neighbors had to spend a while wiping down all their stuff. It's a bit frustrating now as I'm still finding a layer of dirt on stuff in my backyard, so I'll be cleaning my windows and wiping down more things. I didn't ask for a discount or for anybody to come back to clean (I didn't realize how bad it was until several days later as I did stuff outside), but Tony did apologize and said he would talk with his guys. I don't know if he did and it doesn't really matter at this point. So, other than the cleanup issue, the project looks satisfactory and the price was reasonable. read more

We hire Tony to install our pavers, he took the job on January, take half payment and didn't respond for next 2 months, he hardly pick our calls and we thought money is gone, later in March he did the job. He told me he will bring all the materials, like sand, blocking stone, polymorphic sand etc. but at the day of the job he just send labor without any materials, I end up going to Home Deport and purchase those, if he told me before and I order before and home delivered. I went to home deport 3-4 time for materials. The labor he sends is good, they worked hard and done a good job, but the hassle we face by giving the job to Tony is unexpected. Tony is unprofessional at best and rude at worst, he don't have idea on project management. It is a nightmare for us. Stay away. read more

I talked with about 6 or so landscapers for my project. What immediately struck me with Tony is that he quickly really understood my Vision, and communicated very well with me. We also had good communication regarding the scope of the project and how much I wanted to pay: for example there are certain aspects which are professional and nice, but are expensive, not necessary and personally I don't care about (so we don't have to do those parts and the project stays in my budget). He handed my project off to Allen who is "The Artist" who similarly showed up and quickly GOT what I was trying to have done. This is a guy who clearly takes pride in his work and got into it did a great job. Also, he just has the nicest demeanor. Lastly, my Point of Contact was Tuan, who was good with keeping me up to date about changes in schedule, etc. All in all Edge struck me as a professional machine. Everyone was super nice. We are so upset at how things ended when working with Tony and his crew. They did not finish the job and have totally stopped communicating with us even though we have reached out multiple times. The fence looks so sloppy, the gate is already not working, and we are now getting quotes from other fencing companies to fix their work. One of the other contractors was shocked at the state the left things and said it looked like work done by clowns. While they are all super nice and the crew worked hard, I would have rather paid a little more for a finished project. read more

After the winter weather had left my yard looking pretty rough, I was looking for someone to do a spring cleanup of my yard, remove the moss and weeds, aerate, thatch, reseed and add mulch to my garden. I contacted several different landscapers in the area and either did not get a response, or was given a very expensive quote for my small yard. When Tony came to assess it was still more expensive than I had hoped, but you get what you pay for. They were out within 2 days to start the work. I contacted Edge Landscaping in early August when I was in need of a large amount of landscaping done on my house which had been a rental for several years but that I was in the process of putting on the market. I was very excited upon meeting Tony because he seemed to understand exactly what I wanted done and he was able to get his guys started the very next day. I was incredibly impressed and grateful and certain that I'd made the right choice after I left a few days later to return home (I live in another state). My trust in Tony was very high and I was sure I'd be pleased with the outcome, despite not being around to monitor the work that would take a couple weeks. After several days of not hearing from Tony after arriving home, I began the process of texting and calling to get status updates since I needed his work to be completed before I could put the house on the market. I managed to talk to Tony ONCE after I left and then all communication stopped. I repeatedly reached out to no avail. I even emailed the website general email expressing my concerns. To this day (six weeks later) I have never heard back. I never received confirmation when the job was done and I never received any pictures at all. The only pictures I got were from my realtor who was not aware of the in depth conversations Tony and I had before I left (like which trees would be cut back or moved, where mulch would go, etc). In addition to the work I paid this company over 4000$ to do, Tony offered to do a couple extra things for me, including pressure washing the house. Now, to be fair, he offered it so I can't begrudge that it didn't get done for whatever reason. However, if Tony had bothered to tell me he wouldn't be able to do it like he said, I could have made arrangements to get someone out there to do it. But since I never heard back, it wasn't until most of the scheduled work with other contractors was done (painting, flooring) that I found out the pressure washing never happened. Which meant I had to hire someone. This, unfortunately, took two extra weeks. That was two weeks that the house wasn't on the market. I hate writing bad reviews, especially since my own business relies heavily on reviews, but I feel like potential customers need to be forewarned. Perhaps if you have the time to babysit this vendor to ensure the work gets done as promised, then go with them. To this day I can't even confirm if the quality is any good simply because I never got pictures proving all the work got done. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! From reading other reviews, it seems that Tony Le has a habit of not finishing his jobs. I recently bought a house that has a very large yard. Since I have allergies, I wanted to remove the grass and put down a substitute ground cover and put in a path running through it. I also wanted a weed clean-up of my small front yard. Tony was very quick to respond to my call. He left town right after (sounds familiar doesn't it?). He left his brother, Son, in charge, and we worked together to settle on cedar wood chips with a gravel path. The guys (not Tony) came out shortly thereafter and began the work of removing the grass. I should have known something was up when I had to stop the guys from removing good plants and leaving the weeds. I had to keep a close eye on things to make sure it was happening as it was supposed to. They finally got around to putting in the gravel path and laying the cedar chips. Now I did a lot of homework on this project, and cedar chips require at least a 1 - 2 inch layer for the large chips and 3 - 4 inches for the small chips. Well, they barely covered the ground and the border for the path sticks up about two inches above the gravel creating a major trip hazard. So, of course I called Tony about this and he tried to say that we only agreed to a dusting of chips. Now who the hell would agree to a dusting? Then he tried to say that we never talked about the path in our first conversation. That is really strange since it is written in the estimate that he gave me. But I did want to get the project finished, so I did agree to pay more for him to have the guys come back out and lay more chips and gravel. He agreed to have the guys come out the next weekend and I texted him to confirm. I never heard back from Tony. And now the grass is growing up through the very thin layer of chips. The whole purpose of this project was to lay enough ground cover down to retard the future grass and weed growth. For those of you that have had a similar experience, I suggest you also contact the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General Consumer Protection Office to file your complaint as well. I will definitely be doing that. If this is the way he treats his customers, Tony doesn't deserve to be in business! read more

I got an estimate to "revitalize" my brown lawn this past summer. I had a previous estimate of thousands because I was told I needed new sod installed. I told Tony about his and he assured me all I needed was thatching, aerating, some reseeding and fertilizing and "lots of water" and my lawn would be as good as new. I paid $750+tx for his men to do those things. After two months and a $150 water bill, my lawn was green in places, but still bare and sparse like before I had anything done. I called and left message but never received a call back. They do not stand behind their work in my opinion, and I certainly doubt their expertise in the lawn maintenance field. I gave them a shot, called back to give a second chance, and no response from them at all. I would not use them again obviously. read more
