If I want to be scared, I'll walk down east 42nd at night. Indy scream is more fun than scary. Indy Scream has 5 haunting experiences, food, a few games, classic scary characters, and alcohol. All good, but the whole experience is pretty expensive for a family. Lines are long, unless you buy the fast pass ticket which costs more. I would not have had a lot of fun if I didn't have the fast pass. Parking has a fee. Beers are expensive, but large. If you don't mind long lines or if you don't mind ponying up some cash for a different experience then I recommend a night out at Indy Scream park.

The parking here was free, so that was a great start. We stood in line to purchase our tickets, but before we did that, they guided us in a room to take a photo. They handed us a card with a code on it to scan after we completed the attraction to see our photo. After that, we purchased our tickets, which was basically in the room over. The tickets were $25 each for General Admission and those are the ones we bought. We stood in line and while we did so, some characters interacted with us. One had extreme energy and Giggles was his name, or so it said so on his back. He interacted the whole time of our visit with the huge line of people. Our wait was about 45 minutes, so it wasn't horrible. They formed groups of six to walk through the attraction. This attraction was really all over the place! There were a lot of actors throughout and they were able to touch us here. I liked that element and I really felt it made things more interactive. They had a really long, swirly tunnel and even inflatable devices that are sure to make you panic. If you're prone to nausea or claustrophobic in any aspect, this may not be the place for you. You end up going down steps early in the attraction. It seems I was in a basement for the majority of the time. I liked the feel to that. The length was probably around 30 minutes, but I wasn't on my phone to time it. The actors, for the most part, appeared to be very young. They did have great acting chops and even seemed to have years of experience. After you exit, they show you your photo and offer it for $10.00. They told us we can purchase it online with the code on the card, which I did on 10/14/22, so the code was active for quite some time after my visit, just to let you know that you don't need to rush and purchase it. Overall, the price definitely matches the quality here. It was a lengthy attraction, so I feel I got my money's worth. I recommend this attraction for all lovers of horror! Date of visit: 10/08/22

We get to enjoy some consistent attraction, but there is always something new. And, like any live performances, the actors bring different energy to familiar scenes. The Slaughter Barn is definitely not for the faint of heart. My children didn't start venturing in until their late teens. I look forward to it every year. Surprisingly, my favorite part is interacting with the characters while waiting in line for the attractions. You will definitely enjoy waiting your turn.

The haunted hay ride was actually super fun and surprised us by having 2 dance number scenes. The weather was divine and it was so nice to roll through all of the fun scenes they have set up with the breeze going. Some of the scenes felt like we went through them too quickly to get to see everything, but others you could really see all of the detail they put into it. The slaughter barn was very quick to get through- even when haunted houses aren't scary I like when they are big and you get to walk around in the spooky rooms they have set up. The haunted hay ride was the best part of the night by far. One thing none of us liked was that one of the characters that wander around to entertain guests who waiting in line, buying concessions, etc kept very quickly circling around everyone while pulling a wagon that had a duck caged in it. It couldn't even sit or get comfortable because it was constantly bracing for turns and bumps. A fake duck glued to the cage or no duck at all would have sufficed. Not sure why live animals need to be toted around as props. We had purchased our tickets online during pre-sale, so it was a 2-for-1 deal. We definitely wouldn't come back if we had to pay full price, but I do think my brother with autism would like this, so we may bring him here next year.

Lots of air puffs, ppl jumping at you, machines jumping at you. The machines tend to jump out a little close so that made it scarier. There was only one time it was pitch dark and one time you had to squeeze thru which was not good for my claustrophobia. Just when you think you're done, you're not! One more haunt at the end. There's a little drink stop with beebs and photo ops. They make you wait before starting to make sure there is ample space between groups. At first I was skeptical because you couldn't hear much and didn't see many ppl but it was def a blast and lasted a while

We waited about a half an hour to get in which was not bad at all in my opinion. The longer wait promotes really good spacing and a well paced out experience inside so it's worth it! And the scare actors outside help immerse you in the experience early. For 15 dollars per person, this is so well worth it compared to other larger scale haunted houses in the area. The setting itself is so cool and you can tell they put a lot of work into it. We went in in groups of 8 which was a nice amount in my opinion. I don't scare easily so nothing really got me but that is not at all for lack of trying! There are multiple actors around every corner, cool lighting and interactive effects, and very awesome props for the actors. Caution there are a lot of strobe and flashing light elements if that's an issue for anyone. A lot of others in our group were scared throughout so I would say put yourself in the middle if you want the best experience! The Old Whitley County Jailhouse is a massive sight to behold. This elaborate structure was…read morecompleted in 1875 by architect J.C. Johnson. At the time, the building had a dual purpose to serve as the county jail and it housed the county sheriff. The reason for this setup was so the sheriff could keep an eye on his prisoners. The jailhouse was in operation for many decades. The latter part of its time, the jailhouse served as a county office up until the mid-80's when they moved their operations to modern facilities a block away. Today, the jailhouse lies dormant 11 months out of the year. Age and neglect has left this building in a deteriorated state. The current owner repurposed the jailhouse to operate once a year as a haunted house in October. You will find haunted house props strewn along the exterior but don't be fooled by the façade. Paranormal investigators have visited the space and they lay claim to believe ghostly activity lies within its confines. These investigators believe they are the ghosts of former inmates, most notably, the tortured soul of their notorious prisoner, Charles Butler. When we arrived, the building was closed for the season. From the outside, I was already getting a creepy vibe simply from taking these photos. I kid you not. I did feel a bit of the chills and I was at least 25 feet away from the entrance doors. Brave souls beware and prepare to be spooked!
