It's all good. The woman in charge. She takes care of everything scheduling and reservations. She knows what she's doing.

Food is great service. Excellent to do a really good job then coming here for like 28 years for mother's Day.

These were the broiled scallops they didn't clean

Service was not ideal vibes to say the least. They brought us bread in a bowl because they said they ran out of small bread plates. Cold butter. Crab dip was just hot mayonnaise with cheese. They took forever to bring the broiled scallops out but left the little tough tail on so they didn't really clean them and they look unappealing with a sprinkle of paprika for flavor lol smh who eats here fr?! Not for me. The best thing were the mozzarella sticks they were so good lol like they had seasoning in them lol that's crazy they were the best thing

These are some of best Maryland style crab cakes you can get anywhere! You have to try them!!!

Yummy. Get the lump crab cake broiled. Each bite is a chunk of lump crab meat.

Food was delish. Service was excellent. The lump crab cakes were chunked full of lump. Wow! Hardly any filler to speak of. We will definitely be back. Soooo good!

This hidden gem looks like a house so you will definitely miss it if you're driving fast. Once you're inside you're immediately greeted by one of the staff and seated. Everyone is so friendly and you feel at home. There is a little table showing desserts(stay away until you get your food) it's deliciously presented and tempting. I ordered the double crab cakes with stewed tomatoes and all I can say is OMG! The picture doesn't do it justice! Not only was it delicious it was HUGE! I have the second one for lunch today! I had a lemonade to drink but there is a full bar. This is a place I would come to again and again just for the ambiance and the food! packed with lump crabmeat but it was seasoned well. My friend had the blackened stuffed Rockfish and that didn't disappointed our taste buds(could've had a little more seasoning) but overall it was delicious! They do have a small salad bar (I didn't partake) but it looked fresh and I did see it replenished a few times while we were there.

Single crabcake dinner. Came with 2 sides. I chose fries and salad bar.

Amazing crab cakes! They are full of lump crabmeat without fillers. The house cut fries are delicious. Crab dip was just ok- too much cheese, filler, cream cheese. But everyone enjoyed their meals.

We had an amazing night celebrating my boyfriend's 50th birthday at the Edgewater restaurant!! we walked in without a reservation. It was only four of us, but were seated right away, and our waitress was very attentive. She was the granddaughter of the owner and suggested a few dishes to us, which we definitely listen to her and order the crab imperial and my boyfriend and his roommate ordered The twin rock lobster tails which were stuffed with crab imperial!! we very much enjoyed our appetizers as well. We ordered the muscles which were steamed in white wine ,butter, and garlic. The restaurant is like stepping back in time, which I really enjoyed

Date Night! His favorite spot... never heard of it! Let's just say I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn't look like much from the outside, kinda out dated inside. The typical neighborhood spot. Friday night was a full house. The main area packed. That's a good sign that the food was going to be great! Absolutely. Delicious. Service, Great. Starters: Cream of Crab Soup? I'm not a soup fan but this was flavorful and FULL of lumps of sweet crab. Rockfish fingers? Fried strips of rockfish with a Cajun dipping sauce. Onions rings? So light an tasty not greasy at all. OMGoodness I could have stopped there but WHY?! I had the seafood plater broiled. Gigantic scallops, steamed shrimp, STUFFED SHRIMP, fried clams. The only thing that didn't make me feel loved was the twiced baked potato. Flat out NO. Don't get it. Get the fries. Fresh cut and delish. The fried stuffed shrimp were awesome as well. The green beans were pretty darn tasty in my opinion. Not over cooked or over seasoned. Coleslaw isn't offered as a side but was available on the salad which was very small but everything was fresh. It was very crowded, so an obvious choice by the regulars. We opted for the home made cup cakes for dessert to go because there was no way we could've eaten another single thing! This place might not have all the visual effects but it lacks absolutely nothing when it comes to amazing seafood. Ridiculous sized portions. Great wait staff. Definitely worth another visit.

We had a late lunch/early dinner. We were greeted enthusiastically by friendly hostesses. We were seated immediately. The service is very good especially for a place this large and this casual. Today we were served by Olivia - Liv - and she is just about the best server ever! So cute, so friendly and so nice to talk to. Plus she worked so hard!!! Kudos to Liv for providing some of the best service that day! I ordered the half & half crab soup. Perfection as always. However, the boneless chicken wings were disappointing. I have eaten the regular, bone-in wings here before and they were outstanding. The boneless version was not. There was more breading than chicken and it left something to be desired. So - note to self - stick with the bone-in chicken wings and you will be impressed. I just didn't want to get my fingers dirty this time and that decision was not a good one on my part. My spouse had the crab cake sandwich and cream of crab soup. The crab cake was good but the bun was simply overwhelming. Less bread please, Coconut Joe!!! Of course, I recommend Coconut Joe's without reservation and I doubt much could happen at this point that make me move this restaurant into the "not recommended" category. It is such a nice place - it makes me smile now just thinking about it.

Unfortunately, he's the only fan. I feel sooo bad being so critical so I'll make it quick. The decor/ambience is so uncomfortably in need of renovation (the wood paneling, sectional seating, and carpet, for starters). They're known for their crab cakes which did NOT disappoint (according to those who ordered them) and TWO THUMBS UP on the salad bar ... which we ALL absolutely appreciated. However, the other food was mediocre and the attached pics prove the simple, low effort, dive-bar quality. It wasn't a total wash tho'! Their portions are respectable. The birthday boy LOVED the carrot cake buttt, the scallops, green beans, crab dip and fried chicken were declared unseasoned and the rockfish bites (strips) were salty. The Chardonnay had vinegar undertones. The Tito's shot was $20 but this is not the type of establishment which can justify charging that! I'm going to stop there because I totally respect their long-standing "pillar of the community, local landmark, generational longevity" claim to fame. PLEASE visit for yourself and share YOUR opinion. When you go ... tell them you saw it on Yelp.

This is the kind of meal your mom would cook for, like, a graduation dinner, or if she was trying to impress someone. I've never had a bad meal here, but the crab cakes are the best in Maryland. I know everyone thinks they know where the best crab cakes are, but they are wrong, because the Edgewater Restaurant has them - a softball of jumbo lump crab meat, perfectly broiled with very few added ingredients so the crab shines through. All of the meals come with 2 sides of your choice, including potatoes served at least 3 different ways and a salad bar that isn't even trying to be healthy. Unless you get there super-early at 4, before the 5pm dinner opening, and then wait in the shorter line. Unless you are having lunch there, and in that case I am guessing it may be the same, ie getting in the cue at 11ish before 12pm. I have had the Spotted Pig pizza and whatever enticing pie specialities they have rotated seasonally. I usually opt for the truffle oil or balsamic glaze on our pizza. I have never needed to tweak their delightful presented ingredients combinations. Their pizzas are that outstanding. Take for instance, a recent summer pizza from the Chef's own garden: "The Cuba Libra pizza ...This white pizza features mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, complemented by pork confit, chile-roasted jicama, pickled red onions, cilantro, and fresh mint." I'd never crave mint on a pizza but if Eastport's Vin 909 is serving it, I'm probably going to enjoy it. If you are the more traditional type, another seasonal pizza featured is the Yankee Pie: "family recipe crust with tomato sauce, mozzarella, ricotta cheese, summer sausage, marinated red peppers and oregano." And yes, please, to another summer, perfect-in-Annapolis feature: "Vaquero Clams: Steamed local little neck clams, English ale, bacon, grilled poblano peppers, garlic guajillo butter, fresh oregano, epazote and cilantro." I love the gigantic Vin 909 featured arugula salad. I also miss their divine french press coffees and Butterscotch Pudding with caramelita points. A little known fact: when I was there, you could purchase extra caramelita points for $2 or $3. Vin 909 is truly the best dining in Annapolis -- or Naptown -- as folks like me say.
