We had a craving for some crabs, this place was perfect. We got a dozen large crabs and some fries. The crabs were well seasoned and very meaty, sooo good. Definitely worth our visit. The service was good. If your looking for a good crabs in a chill vibe, I recommend this spot.

Came here for Mother's Day and I'm already planning my next trip back. My mom and I were both not crazy hungry, so we shared #4 combo for $55 which has a crab cake, two sides, and I think 3 or 4 crabs. Wow was it good, the corn was fresh and delicious with their melted butter. The crabs were meaty and seasoned perfectly. We both did not love the crab cake, but I am not a huge crab cake person so take that with a grain of salt. The service was super friendly. I did not know they had melted butter out for anyone to grab, so I asked for some and the employee who helped me came out from behind the counter and poured me some, which was so nice. The drinks here are also only $6 for an orange crush, which is almost unheard of for this area. The outside seating makes me feel like im at the beach, and definitely made the experience even better. I also think they have a drive thru which is really cool. Cannot wait to come back!

Service was friendly and the food was absolutely perfect. Fresh crab cakes done exactly the way I like them, without any nonsense and let the crab shine! Would be back many times if we lived in the area. Great place and great food.

The build your own boil is excellent. Large shrimp, well seasoned and great price. Also $6 crushes all day long. The hush puppies are also excellent.

Visited here a few days ago. We ordered jumbo crabs (which weren't jumbo), seafood boil , orange pomegranate crush and clam strips. The crabs were ok I've had better and bigger. The jumbo were $125 which was a good price but the size just didn't match the price. The crab legs were extremely small as well. The clam strips were so good and the crush was too. Customer service was good overall but most likely won't be returning.

We got a crab boil to go and all the seafood (snow crabs, shrimp, muscles, and crawfish) were dried out and fishy, it almost tasted reheated. We've heard good things about crab shack, so I'm hoping it was just a fluke.

The hush puppies were the star of the show!…read more Went here with family and ordered the stuffed potato skins which were good but for $17, I expected at least 6 . They're good but you only get 4. Stuffed with shrimp, scallop and crab with imperial sauce. As for the platter, the crab cake was delicious and the scallops a close second. You get 1 crab cakes, 2 scallops, 3 shrimp and a white flaky fish called orange roughy. The was the least seasoned fish I've had in a while. You'll at minimum need to add salt. It kind of ruined the platter for me but given the price, I ate everything lol. After finishing up I ordered some hush puppies intended for later but they barely made it into the box. I highly recommend giving them a try. They're moist with pieces of corn and come with a honey cinnamon whipped butter. A nice sweet snack or dessert even. Those were $8. What sucks is they don't do any side substitutions. The platter comes with a salad, potato or fries. I didn't want the side but couldn't sub for the hush puppies. We sat outside on the deck near the water and service was better than the last time. We made it right before the vending rush- Got there around 5pm. It was packed on our way out. Bonus we got to see baby jellyfish in the dirty water lol. Spoiler alert: I had massive gastro issues shortly after :(. Which is crazy bc when I inquired about the salad and cyclosporiasis they said they didn't have it in MD. Not saying they do but something there gave me severe bubble guts. :(

West End Grill, Naptown -- Unforgiven Edition…read more It's a hell of a thing, killing a plate of green beans. West End happy hour. Adam behind the bar slinging John Dalys for $6.75 like Little Bill forgot to outlaw liquor in Big Whiskey. Then dinner rode into town. Chicken Cordon Bleu: 4.5/5. Moist as hell, ham and cheese doing exactly what God and France intended. Only crime? Needed more sauce. Not enough to hang the cook, but enough to knock half a star off the bounty. Then came the risotto. I believe it was forged somewhere beneath the earth's crust. One million degrees. Molten fucking steel. I tried to approach it. It threatened my family. No rating. By the time that thing reaches an edible temperature, Clint Eastwood will be smiling in a movie. But those slow-cooked green beans? Jesus. Sweet onions, what tasted like some ham-hock sorcery, cooked down until everything knew everybody else's name. I hit them with a dash of Tabasco and suddenly we weren't eating a side anymore. We were settling a score. Top-five green beans I've ever eaten. And understand something: I come from the South. Green beans aren't vegetables down there. They're a competitive sport. I ordered a second damn bowl. Adam kept the John Dalys coming, the happy-hour price stayed ridiculous, and when I asked his favorite movie? Unforgiven. Well, Adam... "Deserve's got nothing to do with it." Except tonight it does. Those green beans deserve five stars, a second order, and their own goddamn horse. Fork around and find out, Naptown.

A quick check on OpenTable and I saw the Bistro at South River was only a few miles down Rt 2 from my hotel. A quick review of their menu and figured I'd give it a try. The Bistro at South River is located inside a golf community. I was expecting it to be at the clubhouse, but instead it was a stand alone restaurant just inside the gate. I went in and sat down at the bar. I ordered the wedge salad and a burger. The wedge was very large and smothered in bleu cheese and bacon. The burger was a good size and tasted good. It came with Old Bay fries that were OK, although I didn't much Old Bay flavor. The price was on the higher side, but not too bad. All together it was an good meal, but nothing special.

Nice deck and view, inside appointed nicely. Cons: Waitress was average, but nervous. Restaurant was not busy, but did have a special party going on in an adjacent room. The prices were very high - entree's were $30 + and had the manager been more attuned to the needs of the guest and not just one couple with too many kids running around the restaurant like they owned it - we may have enjoyed the evening more. Review: We chose to go there on a Friday evening, knowing that in general they are not a very crowded venue and we wanted a quieter atmosphere than you get at most casual dining venues. On arrival we were asked if we would like to sit outside on the deck and we agreed. Though we had see the 5-6 kids ranging in age from 5 - 10 running and playing hide and seek outside the restaurant we never guessed they would continue their game on the deck with their parents watching them. After a few minutes of dealing with that noise we asked to be moved inside. Within 10 minutes of moving the kids were inside running around and then chose to sit in the booth behind us by themselves - getting up and down, arguing and generally playing with the utensils at the table. We noted this to the wait staff with no response beyond - I'm sorry. We put up with it more and finally as dinner was ending the manager arrived at the table and cheerfully asked how everything was. I told him of our disappointment with the disrespect of the children in the facility and he simply said- Sorry, we can't really do the parenting. No offer of any kind to make up for the discomfort of ourselves - with a bit of attitude. And you wonder why the place is empty on a Friday night. Way overpriced for the food, service and without any attempt to put the consumer first. Have used this place for special group events - but maybe not again.

Very fresh and they tasted great. The onion rings were greatly good along with excellent cole slaw and collard greens. All very fresh, tasty and in perfect sized portions. The service was also pretty fast but we were here doing a slow period. I assume on weekends when this place is busy you might wait a while. The minor drawbacks are: 1. The inside dining area is very small so this place must get crowded during busy periods. The outdoor seating area is covered but sort of lame and not very inviting. We dined inside which only seats about 20 or more. It wouldn't be comfortable in 90° plus weather outside 2. They have a gravel parking lot which is kind of awkward. It's also very difficult and dangerous making a left turn out of this place onto Central Avenue. Regardless, we will definitely be going back here because the food is just fantastic. If i was to stick a slim jim and start chewing on leather i would. But not everyone wants to go spend their money to go chew on leather and slim jims. that was the worse fucking burger i've ever had in my life and ive had some pretty shitty burgers. and ontop of that your service is fucking horrible and the ambiance is horrible.
