Stayed over the weekend for the first time. The property was breathtaking! Food was very yummy. I had a facial with Gina and she was a gem of a human. I'm two days post facial on my skin still feels amazing and is glowing!! SAL the manager was so awesome at resolving our late check-in dilemma as our room wasn't already. I live in Reno and I will definitely be back! I don't think l've ever felt that relaxed

What a beautiful spot ! We went for lunch but walking around and seeing everyone making snowmen or swimming with snow all around, was cool ! The Christmas tree was beautiful for a family photo

No shoe on my wedding day due to my heel getting stuck in the freshly watered grass

Wedding Review: After eight months of reflection, I've decided it's time to share my experience with Edgewood Resort. Initially, I was in denial and didn't want to revisit the numerous mistakes made by the hotel and the venue event manager Stephanie Hannah during what was supposed to be one of the happiest days of my life. However, I believe it's essential to voice my concerns--not just for my own peace of mind, but to help other couples who are considering this venue. From the beginning, we encountered unprofessional and dismissive behavior from Stephanie Hannah, which made the wedding planning process even more challenging. On the day of our wedding, several major issues arose that significantly impacted our experience. Despite prior confirmation that golf carts and shuttles would be available, they were suddenly unavailable at the last minute. We had to change the location for the photos and forced our entire bridal party to walk to the ceremony site in heels, which was both uncomfortable and unacceptable for a professional venue. The valet service was severely understaffed, resulting in many guests waiting up to 45 minutes for their cars after the event--creating a poor final impression. The most disappointing aspect was the condition of the ceremony lawn. During our rehearsal the day before the event, we specifically requested that the grass be dry by asking that they postpone the daily sprinklers until after our ceremony. We were assured this would be the case. On the wedding day, the lawn remained soaking wet as they had juts watered the grass before our event. This caused guests to struggle with sinking shoes and forcing me to walk down the aisle barefoot after my heel got stuck in the mud. What should have been a beautiful moment turned into a frustrating experience. Lastly, after confirming the location for first look photos multiple times through the planning process, the venue pivoted on the day of the wedding. We had expected, and confirmed, that pictures would be taken on the dock, but on the day of the wedding, the venue communicated that this would actually require a permit. We ended up scrambling to find a last-second alternative that was lacking in aesthetics and at a distance of 15 minutes from the ceremony, as they were unable to provide golf cart transportation even though there were multiple guests golfing that day.' We reached out to Edgewood and Stephanie Hannah after the wedding to inform them of the issues that occurred, hoping they would take accountability and use the feedback to improve the experience for future couples. Unfortunately, instead of receiving an apology or acknowledgment of their mistakes, they refused to take any responsibility. This response was deeply disappointing and unprofessional--especially from a venue like Edgewood Resort, which we expected to uphold a higher standard of service and care. Overall, the lack of preparation, poor communication, and unprofessional service from the event manager made what should have been one of the best days of our lives far more stressful than necessary. I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for future couples and prompts the venue to make significant improvements in management and customer service.

I've been coming to Edgewood for the last three years and this was the first time that my entire family was able to come for a Christmas 2025 celebration for the week, my husband and two kids age 13 and 14. Edgewood did not disappoint and I experienced the same excellent customer service, and this time above and beyond my expectations. I have the benefit of traveling the world for work and have stayed at many luxury hotels such as the Ritz. What made my stay extra-ordinary at Edgewood was the special touches the Director of Experiences gave Jason Heapy. We thoroughly enjoyed the extra touches that was added during the Christmas week, such as the Christmas vendor showcase where I was able to purchase a beautiful Opal ring and authentic essential oil candles, along with a custom made hummingbird mug that was perfect for our mom. We even made custom hot cocoa ornaments as a family. Jason saw our family play monopoly and was kind enough to provide the Lake Tahoe monopoly edition and took the time to educate us on the history of Edgewood and Lake Tahoe itself. Even though we are local to Placer County, we had no idea the rich history the Park family had in the area and how they still own the hotel eight generations later. And we got to see snow fall on Christmas Eve right outside our balcony and the kids enjoyed the hotel ice skating ring! It was truly a magical and well rounded family vacation!

This is the most magical & memorable hotel our family has ever stayed in!!! My husband and I took our 2 teen daughters for a quick winter stay and it will now be an annual trip. Gorgeous room with fireplace, unbelievable views, soaking tub, oversized shower and a balcony. Wonderful onsite restaurants and yummy coffee bar with pastries, not to mention the nightly s'mores and ice skating rink. I would give 10 stars if I could!

The townhomes are beautiful and have 3 levels. I see they've made some improvements- probably based on families. The stairs are steep, so with two kids running around, it can be nerve wrecking. I saw they added nice child gates to the top of their sets of stairs. In the townhomes, you have 3 levels and 2 patios: one patio on the second floor (living area with a half bath) with an egg chair and table setting. The third level is the bed space and that patio has the soaking tub and a little seating area. Their main bathroom is huge- beautiful modern shower with a huge soaking tub for two. The soaking tub takes some agility getting in and out, but is nice and deep and has jets. It takes a while to fill up, but once it does, it's really relaxing. We love how both walls next to the sliding glass doors on both levels have a see thru fireplace. Such a cute, romantic detail that's nice to have running while you're relaxing. The heated floors in the bathroom are an added perk. Oh! And you get your own garage- even though you still have to access the home from outside the garage. They are incredible accommodating. They have a list of things offered on request like kids toys, hygiene kits, ironing board, etc. They get added points for having those really expensive amazing Dyson hair dryers as their hair drying option too It's one of our favorite places to stay!

I love that they offer fun activities such as board games and s'mores around the fire. They offer morning, yoga classes by the lake as well as lawn games like cornhole. In this massive property with over 400 rooms, you'll find outdated spaces, worn furniture, dark and dingy hallways, dirty windows, hard old towels, thin bedding, lumpy pillows, and beds on the firm side. Even the plants outside have stopped being watered and left to die. Ice machines are broken on multiple floors, so you end up wandering around to other floors in the hopes of one working. The indoor pool has a bit of a Hefner grotto vibe but is constantly packed with screaming kids. It's as if someone told management just to keep the lights on because nothing else matters. Prices swing wildly: sometimes just over $100, but on busy weekends they shoot past $600. Then they tack on a $27 nightly resort fee and another $20 for self parking. Truly delusional fees for what you get. I've stayed here several times only because the rooms are comped. I would never pay to sleep here. There are plenty of wonderful hotels, and even motels, in the area that don't charge bogus resort & parking fees. The online room photos are heavily filtered and don't match reality once you check in. A few positives: the rooms are spacious at over 400 sq ft, and some have minor upgrades like newer bathrooms. There's a Starbucks near the gaming floor, a spa and a few restaurants. I haven't tried them so no opinions there. Overall, this place desperately needs a facelift and real upgrades. Until then, the resort and parking fees should be eliminated. Bally's owners should know better.

The remodel is beautiful. Shopping Lots of restaurants, ranging from high-end to food counters,(they have a Carvel! When I inquired about why the music wasn't playing we were told the speakers were broken. On 4th of July... for America's 250th. Around 1 pm I asked again about the music because... I didn't pay this much money to just listen to kids splash around and scream. I was told a band was supposed to come soon. That never happened. Around 2 someone decided to turn up the music on one speaker that seemed to be working. Vibes were better at that point but still pretty bad considering it was only coming from one side of the pool.
