For the last year or more, the flowers have generally arrived wilted and browned. I have complained and returned a couple of such arrangements knowing the price my daughter was paying for them. (notice the $$$$ assigned to this business). Once again, for Valentine's Day, I received another arrangement. 12 hours later: wilted and dead. For a florist that pretends to target a luxury market, there is no excuse for the lack of quality control. Again, I called and expressed my dismay. A replacement arrangement was supposed to arrive yesterday. I have just forwarded the contact info for Greenwich Orchids to my kid. I know she will continue to send me flowers. I just think it's only fair that she gets what she pays for in the end.

Placed my order for roses today with a Southbury delivery address. The good news was I would get a full refund but that could take up to 3weeks!! Sent 2 follow up emails which never got answered and also attempted to call the customer service number posted but naturally no one was manning the phones. The kicker of it all was in their "emergency " delivery instructions it states that delivery's are only made to Southbury addresses to which my order was located in. Needless to say, this was not a good experience and you lost a valued customer. Too many other florists out there that know how to treat their clients. Two thumbs down.

I entered my personal Gmail and never received an email confirm. So, I called them Thursday evening just to confirm order was received and the woman on the phone was short, abrupt and rude. Her response after cutting me off was " all orders placed were either taken care of today or will go out tomorrow" and she hung up. Then, Friday evening, I checked in because the order still haven't been delivered, same woman on the phone cut me off almost immediately upon answering and said "all orders have been out for delivery already" without even listening to what I was going to say. Again, rude, abrupt, short. And hung up on me again. If they were so busy and they didn't have time to talk, don't answer the phone! Or just say, "hey, we are very busy today, sorry for the delay, someone will get back, etc" She clearly has no interest in customer service or retaining new customers. Lots of options out there, so no thanks.

I knew when I saw Debbie and Ivy's work that I absolutely had to have them (Flowers by Jo-Ann) for my wedding. I know if I'm admiring more traditional pinks and whites (not my thing) that if they could work with darker colors, it would be sublime. I can't go on enough. I really can't. Debbie is a dream to work with. We started with an hour long appointment going over every single thing that I needed or never knew I needed but really wanted. Debbie is very conscious of budget and I'm terrible because I didn't have a budget in mind at ALL, but knew I couldn't have every single thing I wanted (and what I wanted was every inch of the venue covered in arrangements by Flowers by Jo-Ann!!!) She will go over your vision with you (mine-- dark glamour, fall colors, Halloween but nothing too obvious) and create a Pinterest board. Then you'll have a phone call about a month out and discuss more. The result was PERFECTION. Seriously. I cannot cannot cannot stop gushing. Originally I thought I'd save some money and get creative with the table centerpieces myself. About 6 weeks out, I knew that wasn't going to happen, so I was able to discuss some affordable but still beautiful options with Debbie (candles, with flowers and greens). When I walked into the venue last week and saw how they transformed the place into a dark candle and floral paradise, I about lost my mind with happiness. It could not get any better than this Besides the large arrangements and centerpieces, my bouquet and the wedding party bouquets were so gorgeous, we couldn't stop holding them. There were artichokes, dark roses, pops of orange roses, dark purple mums, black calla lilies on mine, and other flowers that I can't quite identify. So beyond gorgeous.
