I've been here multiple times but this particular time was different. I needed sweets for a sweet little birthday shy person. I immediately went over to the official cake lady and she was able to put together a lovely assortment of birthday cup cakes. We all tested it and birthday girl approved along with her friends! The aesthetic is warm and inviting and full of IG-able moments. I really appreciate the mom and pop shop feel to it and the sweets are just delectable. The service was stellar and the coffee, delicious! I recommend this establishment for your deserts and the birthday cakes she makes will blow your mind!

I got a Harry Potter cake from here. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! I sent a reference photo and she NAILED it!! The flavor was also DELICIOUS!! 100% recommend!!

I wanted a specialty cake for my husbands surprise 70th birthday party. I heard from a friend that this bakery had recently opened and since it was local I decided to give it a try. From the moment I walked in they were friendly, flexible and accommodating. I visited 2 times before deciding on a cake. They helped me design and create a cake from a combination of cakes they had posted on their Instagram page. I wanted a cake to represent all of my husbands favorite things: bourbon, cigars and chocolate. They were very accommodating in helping me keep it a surprise with careful phone calls and payments. Lisa helped me with the order and Kim was the amazing artist and baker! She even made me an extra small sheet in case the cake was not enough for all my guests! I would 100% recommend this bakery for special theme cakes! And it was delicious too!!

I ordered a cake for my son's 21st birthday on a Wednesday for Saturday and they made it happen. There was a young lady at the front counter that helped me with the ordering of the cake; she was very polite and helpful, the ordering process was quick and easy. So my niece lives in Washingtonville and her birthday was Monday so I had to find somewhere where they can deliver and I went to DoorDash and was able to find the official cake lady my niece and family loved it. They said it was really good and they never had it's but have heard great reviews about it. I have pictures so if you're looking for a last-minute thing and you live in Rockland and you need to send something close by upstate in Monroe area. This is your pick. They have a variety of choices from cupcakes to brownies to pie to cookies, even bars. The only thing I experienced through this though was that I ordered the brownies they weren't available and I wasn't told until the order got to the house so maybe just a suggestion to the business maybe make I would say cookies medium size and put two cookies there just to make it up of something that was supposed to be ordered. Just have it on the side again just a suggestion, but I recommend it and this is how I found out about this place was because of DoorDash and just so you're aware, DoorDash was able to refund me the for the brownies that I bought read more

She has made 2 cakes for my son's birthdays- last year for his second birthday and this year a 2 tiered one for his third birthday. They are beautiful and very well made! Such adorable Sesame Street themed cakes and very specifically tailored to my son's interests (old school Don Music last year and Super Grover this year- so definitely not something just anyone could do easily with store bought items). Stumbled across this shop while shopping cakes for my sons first birthday and it was one of the best choices we could have made. Ordering was super simple and service was phenomenal! I've never had a worse cupcake. Kim, the owner, is extremely rude and snarky. She clearly uses boxed cake and frosting from the can (It's extremely obvious too). Can't believe they think they can get away with charging for that when I can buy the same thing at a grocery store. Do not come here! read more

The owner is incredibly nice and talented. She's also helped me with a beautiful cake in a very tight window (two weeks) and the cake came out AMAZING!!! My chicken cutlet had a large cut halfway across it. Possibly it was cut to see if it was done, but don't they have a meat thermometer? Maybe they figured that with a salad on top, the large cut wouldn't be seen? I noticed it though. Worst for me though was the vegetable side dish. Instead of a healthy vegetable, I was given a mushy, over-cooked Cauliflower covered in Buffalo Hot Sauce and butter. I'm guessing that they had made Buffalo Cauliflower for an appetizer another day, and had some leftover, so they decided to use it as a vegetable side? Hey, if I wanted leftovers, I'd have eaten at home. The waitress who never read us the specials also never came by to ask if everything was okay. I'd like it if someone at Ella's realizes that good customers can recognize when things are not up to the usual high standards. We notice when leftovers are served as side dishes. We notice when entrees are cut into. We don't enjoy being given tables with sun glare. We used to enjoy Ella's, and we hope that this was just an off day.

They have pour over coffee, which is a great thing for high end coffee shops to have. I had their Ethiopian coffee bean, prepared perfectly by a gentleman that was passionate about their coffee. All of the staff we encountered were pleasant. My wife and cousin enjoyed excellent lattes. We will be back!

I purchased a coconut wedding cake for my niece's wedding. The cake was absolutely gorgeous and was perfectly delicious. The service is amazing- they helped me decide which size cake would be good for our gathering and then walked me through all the details to make sure we got exactly what we wanted.
