The waiter had less than a personality, could barely hear them over the rest of the restaurant noise, took way too long in between stops at the table once we had closed our menues to signal we were ready to order. The food runners seemed to also be miserable. Then we were through eating, on our phones not touching our food for a solid 7+ min as he walked by to other tables, only to return with two full drinks when ours were more than half full. Dined in last night and tried the Monday special: Filet and Chicken for 26.99 (saving of $5). I ordered my steak medium rare and it was more a medium but still tender and tasty. The chicken was a little bland and boring, I probably wouldn't order chicken there again but my friend had the scallops and they were really good (nice sized and cooked perfectly!) The fried rice was excellent and flavorful, loved the veggie mix and the noodles were good too. The service was good, we were sat right away and waited on. We started with salad and soup. The ginger dressing was very good! Our chef was funny and entertaining, he engaged with us and made the dining experience fun! The restaurant itself is typical hibachi style tables and a small section of seating for non-hibachi. Would eat here again. The bathrooms are very awkward, the doors swing in and it's hard to get to the toilet and I am a smaller person. Also they could be better maintained, there was debris on the ground to the point that I thought to myself, I'm glad this food is being cooked in front of me because I'd be afraid of what the kitchen looks like! read more

My husband and I dined at Edo for his birthday on 10/30 and it was a night to remember. This was our first time there and upon entry we were greeted immediately and then we had a wonderful cook and waitress. The vibe is loud and fun because of the cooking style. They had a Thursday night special on hibachi for chicken and steak which is what I orderedt. My husband had the triple delight which included shrimp. We enjoyed that they offered noodles and rice. My friends and I ate here tonight, there were 6 adults and 3 kids and is a good atmosphere for young kids. We each had various delicious hibachi combinations along with a few sushi rolls. I split the Spicy Santa Roll and enjoyed the shrimp and scallop hibachi along with my strawberry lemonade (the lemonade was the only photo I took). Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday while in the area and stopping at the casino across the way. Located in a shopping plaza on the end - there are two entrances for the sit down meals or the usual hibachi seating. We went with the hibachi side and ordered drinks. Dark area, some backlit signage and cool music - more of an up-tempo type place. My main issue is the pricing given they "weren't honoring lunch specials on hibachi that day" - ?!?! Okay? So a regular chicken hibachi meal was $21.99. ****MY HONEST TIP WOULD BE TO JUST GET THE TWO-MEAT OPTION WHICH IS $7 MORE**** Might as well it's basically cheaper than the $22 per meat. We ordered two rolls and crab Rangoon to start things off - the playboy roll and the spicy Santa roll - once of which came out flaming. They had good taste and I would recommend both as options to try. The hibachi cook - kind of a bigger guy was fun and enjoyed getting us going. We had such a fun date night at Edo last evening! The hibachi chef was interactive and so fun, and the food was delicious!! I got the seafood combo, so shrimp, lobster, and scallops and all 3 were cooked to perfection! The mushroom soup served at the start of the meal was soooo good too! We moved over 2 seats so my mom and I could see the TV, we were rudely welcomed by the bartender (also had previous rude experiences) who abruptly told us we could not sit there because it was another section... two minutes later another couple was sat, and got their drinks and ordered before someone even acknowledged us. Came here for lunch on a Friday and the place was not that crowded. They have lunch specials everyday except Sunday and so naturally had to get the lobster hibachi. The salad and miso soup were good. We always love the food and the chefs provide great entertainment. My teenage boys love the portions and I love having leftovers for my lunch the next day! We took my son last night for his last dinner before he headed off to college and it didn't disappoint. My only negative this last time is that the bathrooms desperately need a full cleaning. The walls and floor are dirty and the ring in the toilet bowl tells me it doesn't get scrubbed regularly. Could use a pressure washer ceiling to floor scrub down! Visiting my daughter from DC and wanted some sushi! Tucked away on the end of a strip mall across from the new casino is this little gem! Seated by the bar away from the hibachi tables I ordered a few rolls and a couple of pieces of sushi, my dining partner ordered a roll and shrimp fried rice. All of the rolls were fresh and absolutely delish! The fried rice was soooo tasty and they weren't shy with the yum yum sauce! First time trying this place. We didn't sit at the hibachi table, we've seen many shows at other places and really just wanted to hang out and enjoy each other's company. The food is always high quality this is my second time going and i have tried most of the hibachi offerings. I cant speak to the sushi or other menu items. If I had to give it a solid critique it would be strip steak, which isn't very flavorful for the price point. "Regular" Service-I was not impressed. I was left with an empty drink for the majority of my entire meal. We were checked on once by the gentleman who was our server. Hibachi Chef- Great! He was fantastic, friendly, and interacted well with our family. The sushi was good. We tried the Spicy Santa Roll. FANTASTIC. I could eat two orders myself, I bet. YUM. I LOVED the ginger dressing they used on the salad. The clear soup was decent. I thought the fried rice and noodles that was served with the hibachi was great. The other sides that came along with it were good, too. For the dinners, we ordered the Steak and Scallops and the Steak. I was severely unimpressed with the amount of steak I received with my meal. I'm writing this review from the perspective of a sushi enthusiast, as that is what I've gone to Edo for three times in the past few months. While the hibachi smells and sounds fabulous, I've sat in the bar area all three times to enjoy some fresh sushi. During our first visit, we enjoyed a sashimi plate to begin, which still was the standout from everything there that I've tried. Simple and fresh pieces of raw fish. It's always a good idea to try a small sashimi platter to see what type of quality you are working with. Really lovely selection of fresh fish! On to the rolls. In my opinion, some of Edo's err on the side of "too much going on".... I can do without a ton of tempura and mayo drizzle. Keeping that preference in mind, you are limited when ordering specialty rolls since so many are covered in sauce or tempura. However, the rolls that do stick to raw fish and fresh vegetables do NOT disappoint! After enjoying a delicious meal there, we were told of a little insider secret....the $20 menu. Some of their most basic rolls are offered on a party platter- six rolls for $20. You will not find any super fancy rolls on this menu- but if you are satisfied with more basic options (like I am), you will be delighted by this menu. Tuna, salmon, yellowtail, eel, California...you'll find them (and more!) on this menu. Finally, you can leave a sushi dinner feeling full and not broke! If I had to rate the atmosphere of the bar side, I'd not give it too many stars. It's just ok. Sitting at the actual bar provides a view of a large cooler, and no presence of a bartender. But sitting at a low table near the bar offers a nice semi-private setting for a meal. Four stars given, as a nod to the quality of fish and the affordability of the platters. read more

In town from NY. My second time here. Met up with my friend who lives in town. My friend's first time here and first experience with sushi. We sat at a table by the bar. She's not ready to try anything raw. We started with Edamame was delicious and Gyoza was not crispy enough but taste okay. We had a few rolls. The Playboy was excellent. Lobster Fantasy Roll was served on a flaming hot plate. Grand presentation and delicious. Shrimp Fried Rice was tasty and light. California Roll was the usual. I had sashimi ala carte. White Tuna, Red Snapper, Manago. All very fresh. For dessert we had Mochi ice cream, Green Tea and Red Bean. It was too frozen and rice flour tough. I would not order again. I got recommended this place because I'm from out of town and was craving sushi. Took that persons advice and came here. It was pretty busy on the inside when I came in so I figured that was a good sign. Big mistake. I sat at the sushi bar. Service was terrible. I ordered a cocktail, two rolls and miso soup. Never got the cocktail. Miso soup was pretty much flavorless with seaweed and tofu. When the server rang in the sushi order it was wrong. Luckily the sushi chef was within hearing distance and asked me if it was the right thing. And then told the server the right order instead. Sushi itself was below average. One roll was ok that I ate all of. But the other roll had so much wasabi in it my nose watered every time I ate it. Little bit of wasabi is fine but DAMN. I usually tip even if the food itself is meh but if the service was good I do. I did not tip at all period. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else. read more

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Greensburg. But, I don't know if I will be coming back after my last experience. My boyfriend and I arrived at 8:00 on a Thursday night, after checking the hours online which say they are open till 10. We were seated in the back dining area, and ordered sushi. We had trouble deciding so we asked our waitress for a few more minutes. She seemed annoyed about that. We got our food, no complaints. But before we were even finished, she brought us the bill, not asking if we were done. We were planning on getting dessert which was a bummer. We then noticed there was nobody left in the restaurant, & the staff was putting on their jackets & staring at us while gathering in the front. They even shut the lights off in the hibachi dining room! We apologized for being there while they were closing, because okay, I get it, that can be annoying to staff ready to be done with their shift - I've been there. But when we exited, the hours posted on the door were 4:30 to 9:30, and it was still only 8:50! We felt very uncomfortable and shooed out, probably the worst restaurant experience I've ever had in a while. Very upsetting from what used to be a favorite. So beware, if you are the only people in the restaurant and it's a slow night, they will try to rush you out regardless of how close to closing it is so they can go home early. read more
