Food and service were good. But we were very surprised and disappointed that a tip was added to the bill. That never happened before. We were charged for sodas even for the ones that got water. You kind of can't go wrong for the price. $25 for all you can eat and it includes a variety of sushi pieces and rolls, plus things like hibachi and appetizers. If you go on off hours, there usually isn't a wait, but if you go close to dinner, you will likely have a bit of a wait. (even if you call in a reservation for a larger party). That being said, even when they are completely packed, the pace of getting your food and of service is usually pretty great. The menu has a nice variety, so even if you have someone that won't eat sushi they'll have plenty of things to choose from. A favorite of mine is the pink lady roll. I also love the pepper tuna. The one downside is that they price kids by height. So my son, who is only ten, has been an "adult" there for the last two years. Just be aware that if you have a tall kid, you'll be paying full price. If you like sushi, definitely give it a try! read more

Of course, this place is a popular place on the weekends with such a great price, but you can make a reservation.. and that alone saved us a 65 minute wait. It is beyond cool to be presented with a menu without prices for every item... because go ahead and order it all... it's a single price. They do denote a few items (lobster roll and a few combo hibachi meats) that would add additional cost. We went with a group of friends and were there for 2.5 hours of glorious food! Crab rangoons, egg rolls, shrimp tempura rolls, avocado rolls, tempura sweet potato rolls, chicken hibachi with noodles, vanilla ice cream... we ate!! The deep fried appetizers are okay, but the fresh rolled sushi... that's the kicker! You can see the seven employees constantly rolling up sushi as fast as they can, but it is so nice to have it fresh for everyone at an all you can eat (not like a premade buffet) The wait staff is constantly checking if you want to order more and they ensure that you get your moneys worth. read more

The all you can eat is great for sushi! You can't beat $25 for almost $40 worth of food. Each roll is usually $13 separately and have 8 pieces. The volcano is my favorite. I would pass on the pink lady, too much rice. The others I've ordered had minimal rice and packed with fresh ingredients. The miso soup is also great. Crab rangoons were standard frozen but only got 3 and not too filling. You can also find a deal in Clipp and only pay $10 for 20. Servers are nice. Usually this is one of our favorite places to go. We eat there at least every other week but usually weekly but after this past visit I won't be back. First thing it was the worst night for service we have ever had, sushi was made wrong, chicken was ordered shrimp was given, had to ask multiple times for items that we ordered, it was just sad(of course kitchen was blamed but after the events of the rest of the night I don't think it was the kitchen) But the main issue of the night was when it came down to my 2 year old child (which has been there before and not ordered food). When the waitress came she took our order and asked if I was ordering her anything I had said no she previously ate. The waitress said well I'll bring her a plate incase she wants some of your noodles or something. The waitress comes give us our food and hands my daughter a plate and said here this is to share. So I gave my daughter two fork full of noodles cut them up and she didn't eat most of them and put them back on my plate and I ate them. She had protein, no appetizer, no sushi, etc. when the bill comes I have a $7.99 kids meal charge. I asked the waitress about it and said I didn't order her anything other then a water. Which if you wanna charge me for that since she didnt eat that's fine I understand. Immediately she got attitude about it. I explained that I even told her that she wasn't eating when we ordered and she was the one that said about bringing her a plate to"share". she said that they measured my daughter at the door and how she personally watched it and that the manager told me then that I was being charged that price no matter if she ate or not and that I agreed to it. No one measured my daughter. She was carried in from the car to the table and placed in a highchair. And no one said anything to us other than the hostess asking us how many. Then the waitress made a comment insinuating that I was a bad mother for not feeding my child while I was there which my child had eaten an hour previously to us getting there and said she was full and didn't want that food. Then kept accusing me of yelling at her, which at that point I told her I would yell at her if she kept telling me I was yelling at her. She also asked if we were blind for not reading sticky note that the hostess had put at the end of the table with the amount of people sitting at the table on it. I didn't know what was on that sticky note was any of my business. Walked I'm on a Friday night, looked packed from the parking lot but surprisingly was only a 15 min wait. You can call ahead or make reservations (good to know for future). The restaurant is a little bigger than it looks, they have a small bar at the front and sushi bar on the middle and some hidden tables in the back. Not a bad value for all you can eat. But beware all you can eat while dining in, you will be charged for what you don't consume. The first appetizers, salad and hibachi meal was a smaller portion which I liked because you can try out more of a variety. The rolls were larger than we expected based off of the portions of the salad and appetizer. I kind of wished they were smaller so we could have tried more! But glad we didn't order more because if you have more than 2 pieces of sushi or roll left they charge you. I knew they charged but wasn't exactly sure how it worked. We ordered just enough. As far as the sushi and rolls, it was decent for the price but definitely not high end, top quality sushi like we normally eat. A few of the pieces were a little "fishy" to me but overall not a bad value. Extremely fast service. I have been waiting to go to Mr. Tokyo for a while now. My daughter and I got the chance to go on a Saturday in late January. The atmosphere is kind of what you would expect for an all you can eat sushi joint. The waitress quickly took our order and was back often to grab our finished plates and put our next order in. I will say if you want to try different rolls and can eat, it is well worth it. My daughter, 13 was charged as an adult, and I'm not sure California Rolls and Seaweed Salad was worth the $23. We definitely shared some rolls and got to try a decent amount. I started with the Dragon, which was fine, but they got progressively better as I tried other rolls. I really like the Mr. Tokyo Roll, and I really, really liked the Rock and Roll. All and all, a really nice experience, with some great food! read more

JUST GO TO EDO OR ROBOYKO AND SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE. We ordered tuna rolls and a few other rolls -- they were not busy whatsoever for a Friday night. Get home and the order is completely wrong. Call them immediately and they first say to come and get it replaced and then I asked for my refund as well since my dinner will now be cold and I have to drive 40 minutes round trip to get my correct order. She then says the "kitchen is closed" and there's nothing she can do. So I'm waiting on my "imaginary refund" and will NEVER do business with them again. They give the wrong food and you're just supposed to deal with it. HORRIBLE business. Just go to Edo or Roboyko. I'm sure they'll close down and become a MedExpress again in no time. read more

Typically this place is sooo good and fun. My friends and I love going. But our experience on Saturday 10/18 was not up to par. We were quickly sat and another table was sat beside ours. The waitress in the section went immediately to the other table completely ignoring us. She brought drinks to them before even acknowledging us. When our table and the other table got food, she kept checking up on the other table and never checked on us even omce. We wanted to order soup and dessert but she just kept avoiding us. We never got any water to go with our meals either. Eventually after waiting for a long time I got her attention and requested for our bills. Never had such an experience at this restaurant before. We went here on a very busy Friday Night, and had a pretty considerable wait to get in. Even though it was super busy, our service was very good once we got to our table. The waiter we had was very friendly, helpful, and courteous. He even helped with specializing a few of our orders more to our liking. We were a little unimpressed with a lot of the things we ordered. There was nothing wrong, it just didn't "wow us" compared to other AYCE Sushi/Hibachi places in the local areas. I found a lot of the sushi we had to be very indistinguishable from different types that we ordered. I am not sure if it was a mistake, but a lot of them that said they would have eel sauce, or the spicy mayo, etc., all had the sweet and hot chili sauce on it. Even with different ingredients in the sushi, ours was just... meh. The chili sauce on every one of them (even though it wasn't listed as being on there) really overpowered it. For example: It was like they were just trying to use that to make a "spicy crab salad" spicy. Rather than making the normal spicy crab salad, they Just threw some crab on, and then added some of that quick chili sauce on top. It just really overpowered a lot of the sushi's where you couldn't even tell what you were eating with the different types. The appetizers and hibachi were okay. Again, nothing wrong--just that you can tell it was meant for quick serving, and didn't have any 'wow'. Overall, we'd go back if were were hungry and wanted something like this. We have been to Mr. Tokyo a handful of times now, which should tell you that we enjoy it. All you can eat sushi is always a risk, but I heard good things and we have it a try, it has easily become a crowd favorite. For $24 you can get as many sushi rolls and appetizers etc as you want! (Make sure you finish your plate, because like most AYCE sushi places they charge for left over food. Which is a smart business move) I don't think we've had a roll that we didn't enjoy! In fact I can't even remember all the rolls we've tried, because we kind of just wing it. But the sushi is good quality and a great variety. There is an appetizer called the Sexy Jalapeño which we absolutely love!! It's a jalapeño stuffed with crab and cream cheese... how can you go wrong!?? If you go around dinner time on the weekends expect to wait, but they do take reservations. So I highly recommend doing that. read more

This place was great but recently it's been getting worse. Used to be frequent visitors but we came around for lunch today granted a little late but still. Ive worked in food i'd still do my job properly even if I wasn't happy with the customers order, especially considering the prices lol. They gave us dirty looks as we ate and kept walking around speaking in a rude manner in a different language. Our food used to be consistant but lately it's been mediocre. Some staff is nice but most seem like they don't even wanna be there. Not worth the price anymore. It's similar to Sushi Bomb in Robinson. It's all you can eat sushi, hibachi, and other chinese/ japanese meals. However, I prefer this place to Sushi Bomb now!! First of all, the quality of food is incredible. Everything is so fresh and delicious. I recommend the Mr.Tokyo roll it's amazing! The thing that makes this place stand apart from sushi bomb is the people!!! Everyone at Mr.Tokyo is so incredibly nice and welcoming. They are so hardworking and some of the sweetest people ever! We visit Mr. Tokyo frequently since we typically shop in the area. However, today's visit will be our last. In order to prevent food waste due to over ordering from their all you can eat menu, Mr. Tokyo charges you for any food you don't finish. My wife and I had a few maki rolls, and decided to end with some noodle dishes we had never tried. I order the shrimp noodles. My wife ordered the beef noodles. My noodles were soft and too sweet, but edible. My wife's beef noodles were horrid and inedible, so she did not eat them. No one asked how our meal was, and when the bill came, there was an extra $3 charge for the uneaten beef noodle horror. We refused the take-home offer. No one ever asked why the noodles were uneaten. I guess it's a good strategy to charge your clients extra for food they find terrible ... you get to make an extra $3 before they never come back. I can understand the policy, but not for food you leave because it is unpalatable. Congratulations. You just lost a regular customer. read more

Seeing the title "hibachi steakhouse" we assumed it would be a traditional hibachi restaurant. But the food was prepared in the back, a "hide-bachi," as a friend described it. My food (dragon roll and chicken and scallop hibachi dinner) was good. But the service was too fast--halfway through the soup the sushi arrived, and halfway through the sushi the entree arrived. Since the restaurant was open another 3 hours, they shouldn't have been in a rush to get rid of us but it felt like it. Also the restaurant is incredibly noisy which marred our experience. read more
