Let me tell you something about this place here. I can't stay away from it. We drove from Mississippi from one job and came to Nashville for another job and this was my first stop. The fish is always seasoned to perfection. I can't never decide if I want whiting or cat fish so I get both being greedy. There is no ambience because it's just a drive through and it's quick. Tell the lady what you want and then drive up to pay. Thank me later :)

Best fish sammich in the world always hot fresh and delicious. The owner use to hang with my mom while attending Tennessee State in 70s. So I've been coming here for yrs. It's a staple in our household. I tell my buddies to get the spaghetti on side with your sammich and don't forget some Cole slaw can't go wrong

I've been wanting to go here for a while. Always past by because of the long lines. I'm currently 26 at the time of this review and I remember being about 5 and my mom would always have some catfish and spaghetti from Nashville. She worked in Nashville and would come here for lunch or after work. I didn't know the name of the restaurant but it wasn't that difficult to find. The sandwich tastes exactly how I remember. Didn't care too much for the spaghetti, the taste was different. Very pricey for a little cup, $4?

Love swinging by Ed's to get my Friday Fish sandwich. Can't go wrong on a Friday afternoon!

The one star is not for the food but the fact that it's listed as open on a Monday when in fact they are/were closed and the fact that I found out after leaving my hotel and traveling to the location; I called several times and received no answer & checked various other food apps. Very annoying because I then had to figure out a back up option in an area that has nothing else to do... I walked up Buchanan street and waited another 30mins for another location to open up . Again, there is nothing else to do in the area so am very angry about wasting my time. In regards to finding the location, I am unsure of how people missed it when it's literally on the corner and the only location there, across from a Machanic shop.

My Friday fish spot. My go too order is a whiting fish sandwich add cheese and fried okra. The line moves very fast. Love the food.

Turnover is quick, so even when they are at capacity, and the waiting list looks daunting, you should still put your name down. We were told the chalkboard has the specials, and shrimp and grits are available on the weekends. I loved my shrimps and grits. The grits were so hearty and buttery, and the shrimp had a good amount of spice. We also got the sweet potato chorizo hash, which had the perfect amount of slight heat and special spice blend. (The spices looked red, but I don't know what they were other than paprika??) Both dishes came with biscuits, generously buttered. We were told the biscuits and gravy were special, because the chef does a brown gravy instead of the white gravy. We felt like we had enough food, but if I am ever back in town, I'd try this dish. You'll want to walk off this meal, but don't miss it if you're in Nashville!

The shrimp and grits are unlike anything I can get where I live in the North. This is real southern food. The portions are humongous. Lots of locals and tourists dine here. Seating is limited. I recommend getting here early in the lunch hour to get a table.

I ordered the Chicken Parmesan sub, and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken was super tender, packed with flavor, and the sandwich was huge. I only made it through half and ended up eating the rest later that night. It was just as good the second time around. My wife had the Spicy Italian, and she loved it. The sweet pickles on it really made the sandwich stand out and gave it an awesome flavor. The atmosphere was really cool and felt very authentic. They also have a grocery section where you can buy authentic Italian sauces, pasta noodles, and other items, which was a nice touch. The only thing that surprised us was the fountain drinks being $5 each, but they do come in a souvenir cup. If you're looking for an amazing sub sandwich, I highly recommend Little Hats. The food was fantastic, the staff was friendly, and Germantown itself is a great area to walk around and explore. There are tons of cool places nearby. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Nashville. I'd give this a 5 out of 5 stars.

We went to the Germantown location, which has a huge, really nice patio and a bar area. We ordered at the counter and didn't get any drinks, but I definitely want to come back and spend more time checking out the retail section because it looked great. I got the chicken Parm sandwich, and while it was good, I felt like it needed a little more flavor. I'm probably a little picky with Italian delis since I'm from New England and have had some really great options, so my expectations were high. I think I need to try another sandwich next time. My sister got the soup, and it came in a big bowl and was really good. Overall, everything was solid, but I did think it was a little expensive for a takeaway deli. We spent around $40, which felt a little high for what we got. I will definitely come back for the patio. It seemed dog friendly, and I'm always looking for new spots to bring my pup. The atmosphere is great, and I'd like to come back to try more of the menu.

I love bologna, and that was truly the best bologna sandwich I've ever had in my life. Highly recommend getting a side of their fries as well. We also had the lamb roti, which was very unique but had amazing flavor. There are plenty of cocktail options and mocktail options.
