DO NOT CHOOSE THIS LOCATION. Negligent Service & Zero Accountability…read more I am extremely disappointed with this Take 5 location. This was my third time using them, but it will absolutely be my last. Their negligence caused immediate mechanical issues with my car (2023 Nissan Altima SL), and management has completely refused to take responsibility. The Incident During my third visit for a routine oil change, the technicians pulled out my air filter and suggested it be replaced. I agreed. Within 20 minutes of driving away, my dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree with warning lights: Check Engine, System Malfunction, ABS, and slip indicators. The Immediate Response & Lack of Knowledge I drove right back to the shop. The technicians clearly did not know what they were doing. * They checked the air filter again and had me rev my engine to 5 RPMs multiple times, which didn't fix it. * I saw a P0101 code on their OBD reader. When I asked about it, they ignored me. * The tech eventually admitted, "I don't know, it could be a sensor," and implied someone else caused it. I reminded him that they were the only ones who had opened my hood. * After speaking to his District Manager, the tech told me it "couldn't be anything serious" and told me to just drive it away, handing me his personal cell number. The Real Diagnosis Uncomfortable with their guesswork, I took my car to a certified Nissan Dealership. Their diagnostic found exactly what went wrong: Debris from the old filter contaminated the Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor during Take 5's replacement, causing it to misread and trigger the system-wide dashboard alerts. Nissan had to pull the sensor, clean it, and reset the codes--leaving me with an unexpected $200 bill. The Claims Runaround When I opened a customer support claim, the local manager didn't even contact me until Day 6. * When I told him Nissan had to fix their mistake, his only response was a dismissive, "And they charged you for that?" * The next morning, he claimed corporate "didn't receive" my emailed receipts and asked me to send them directly to him. * Just hours after sending them, I received a flat denial letter claiming it wasn't their fault that debris from the old filter caused the sensor to misread. Final Verdict Their technician's sloppy handling of my air filter directly caused a sensor failure, and Take 5 used bureaucratic delays just to deny my claim and avoid paying a $200 bill. I have appealed their decision, but I am also filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). If you value your vehicle and expect a company to stand behind their work, DO NOT take your car here.

I went in for a simple inspection for my car on Friday, April 10th. The inspection price was…read more$18.70...my card was charged $187.50!!! That was two weeks ago...I have yet to receive my refund. What I did receive when I went back a week later was the run around AND was questioned as to how I noticed the excessive charge?!?!? I was asked 'did your bank call you?' I sat at the location close to an hour waiting on the service tech to contact his area manager as he (the service tech) appeared to push buttons on the ccard machine (even suggesting my card was invalid..lol), to no avail. PER THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY (DPS) - THE MAXIMUM STATION FEE FOR A SAFETY & EMISSIONS INSPECTION IS $18.50. SOUNDS LIKE AN ILLEGAL PRACTICE!!!!!!! I see a report ANDDDD complaint to the county tax office AND DPS loading....
