After having taken my '03 Civic to more shops than I can count and leaving each one either being ripped off, the same problem not being fixed, or even with more problems than I came there with, I didn't really think I could trust another shop or one more mechanic telling me that not only was "W" the issue, but also "X", "Y", and "Z' and that in order for me to fix said issue, I would have to fix all four. It was a bit unbelievable really. I wanted to get a second opinion before burning my wallet in half, so I stumbled upon three Yahoo reviews for this shop, all rating it no less than 5 stars, and I can tell you I was a little skeptical at first. However, after actually having been there myself, I am surprised there aren't more reviews out there on Google or Yelp. So I guess I'll be the first. I am going to start out saying that I am not too fond of all the construction being done along the street, but that's a minor issue. The shop is a little hidden since it doesn't exactly sit on the corner but is definitely visible once you turn on Belle Park (it is right across from a small Church center). Size-wise, it's pretty big in comparison to a lot of the other auto repair shops in the area and, although, from an outward aspect, it doesn't have the best overall appearance, I'm not there to pay for good looks. I am looking for quality service, and for the first time, not to be cheated out of the money I put in. It wasn't the easiest to schedule an appointment over the phone as the receptionist wasn't too pleasant, but I wasn't about to rate this shop negatively because of that. The shop owner, himself, is probably one of the most genuine, knowledgeable, straightforward, and honest-to-goodness men I have met, in any business for that matter. Upon questioning him on what was wrong with my car, he told me the exact problem and my options for fixing it; no run-around speech or extra garbage. In fact, "X", "Y", and "Z" weren't even a problem as the other shops had claimed and those parts I had paid $$$ for?! Yeah, cheap parts that would only force me to return to those crappy shops when something starts breaking down. I can't say that I really "know" the guy on a personal level, but it truly only took me one visit for my gut to tell me that he was someone I could trust; a family man and a humble business owner. He saved me so much more money and time; and time, my friends, is an essence. It has been almost a year since I first came there and my car is still running in tip-top shape. I stop by occasionally for auto advice or maybe minor things like an oil change, but I probably wouldn't trust even the most trivial things with any other mechanic, and this is coming from someone living in far West Houston, near Katy. It's not the closest drive but well worth it.

I talked with the technician over phone, and he told me it'll about $800 to replace my timing belt and water pump kit on my Honda. To save money, I told him that I bought all of my parts he then told me that he couldn't do it. I would've saved myself 400 and something dollars. I spent only $178 for my complete kit on my car including the cylinders and he was trying to charge me 360+ in parts, and whatever the tax may be bringing the total to $800!! I got quoted 500 dollars then when I came to pick up vehicle price was $894. This work done February 2014. The van ran strangely after all this work. 9 months later the van struggles with a dead battery every few days. So I had battery tested and auto zone says it was no good. I took it back to Bauman auto repair and they said oh man this battery is a year and half old. What so battery are only good for a year now?? He said he would call his guy to see if he would exchange. They dragged their feet on this for two days. I finally just went and got my battery and bought a new one. Beware with these guys they under quote and then they don't back up any of their work. Very dissatisfied with these guys. Oh yeah they spilled gas inside my van too and wouldn't pay for clean up service. Van stuck like gas for months.
