Let me give you a rundown of the menu, $12.75 for the 3 tenders, usually jumbo but yesterday they definitely weren't- and the sandwich is $13.50. The tenders are usually huge but yesterday they were regular size I guess. The fries are $5 each, and pretty much any side starts at $5 here. Honestly the food yesterday was kinda mediocre, the chicken wasn't breaded well and was falling off the chicken, which tasted bland without the breading and seasoning, the bread it comes with was super soggy, and the last piece of bread anyway lol. The sandwich was really disapponting, the chicken wasn't seasoned well at all. Each food item only came with literally 1 pickle which was odd. Also we were waiting for the food and I don't know if he ever even called our name but when my bf went to check on it, it had already been done and sitting there? Obviously we don't need to be chased down but if you're not busy and we're literally behind the stand, you could at least try to mention something? We both thought that was weird too, the service just kinda seemed off today, the vibes weren't that great. Overall probably not returning, almost $30 and we didn't feel the chicken was the quality it typically is, and we've been here multiple times before. The girl running the register, who somehow managed to get our 2-item order wrong three times while taking it, refused to allow her a refill. When I asked why not, she stated it was store policy that refills were only allowed for guests dining in. When I pointed out that she was not allowing us to dine in, she smuggly replied "that is correct." Rather than demand a manager, who presumably wadn't present since it was only the two teenagers running the kitchen and register, we've decided this will just be our last trip and advise all of you other yelpers of the substandard service this place has made a practice of providing.

The single staff person at the register was very solicitous, too much so, frankly. Cloyingly nice, almost to the point of being obsequious. But perhaps I am just too jaded and cynical, other people may love the immediate high level of friendliness and familiarity. Country music was playing loudly while I was eating. After a while I realised that it was not actually country music, but rather, Christian pop music. If you're on the Pepsi side of The Great Soda Schism, you'll be happy here. If you're on the Coke side, you're not going to be happy. I like Coca-Cola, so I ordered a lemonade, which turned out to be not lemonade, really, but water with almost no lemon taste in it. It came out of the dispenser, so maybe the tank was almost empty or something, I don't know. It was water with the faintest taste of lemon. That's what I got for a drink. There are a great many restaurants that do wonderful things with a chicken. The chicken-lover landscape offers up an embarrassment of riches. With that in mind, I think I'd pick another spot for fried chicken. Not because the chicken was bad (it was not), but other things about the place were not particularly appealing to me, and it's not as if the main drawing card here (which is the bird) is so completely fantastic that you brush all the shortcomings aside. The mashed potatoes very good. I've also had the boudin balls which were good. The Mac and cheese is pretty good. The wedge fries are ok-but I'm not a fan of those so I won't count off for them. The best thing is how convenient this place is. They always seem to have chicken available, although, after a big run they might not have every kind. Service is good, the place is very clean but ambiance is just ok-it's in a gas station but they do have a few cute cafe tables and most people get their food to go. There is a special on Fridays-we've had the cheesesteak sandwich (without cheese so is it still a cheesesteak?) and it was really good and big enough for 2 meals for me.
