    Chicken tenders
    Michael E.

This is my favorite place to eat in Eugene. The chicken is masterfully seasoned and fried. And the spice level is steep but fair. Typically I can go to most places that offer spicy food and sometimes it might hit that spark that happens, even Thai food is often tame. This is different. I've had to roll back from ordering the XX-hot to just X-hot because it would gas me out. I love the small menu, I love the location, and I love the spice. If I could give six stars, I would.

Just arrived at the airport and decided to go get some lunch. My first thing I do upon arriving in a new city is to check yelp. One of the restaurants in the area was this Nashville hot chicken establishment which I decided to try out. I didn't catch his name, but the owner was super friendly and told me that he formerly ran a Nashville hot chicken restaurant in the Nashville area. When my food arrived, it looked fantastic and tasted even better. This is a true gem and everyone should give this place a try! I can state affirmatively that I will be back.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while abd finally checked it out today. Got it Togo and it traveled for about 30 minutes before I was able to enjoy. It traveled incredibly well, I now need to come back and eat fresh! I got got the hot Chicken sandwich which he described as cayenne and habanero. Chicken was thigh meat. Sandwich had great flavor and the perfect amount of heat. Homemade potato salad was a nice contrast in flavor and heat killer when needed.

Chicken sandwich - hot, with curly fries

Loved it! We'd been trying to get here for awhile now, but every time we drove by it seemed like they'd be closed and it wasn't too consistent to know the hours. I did try to reach out to ask but didn't receive a response. However, I am not going to mark them down for that, this is a local small company that seems like they're far too busy making amazing chicken to respond to my small request. Not going to complain because the food was totally worth it. The small menu is refreshing, you don't have to think too hard about what to pick. We tried the tenders in mild and sandwich in hot (weird there isn't a medium between those two?). My husband said the mild was plenty spicy and I felt that the hot was just right, I was sweating just the right amount. And I liked that it was a dry rub, not a sauce. The only issue with the sandwich is that it just ended up falling apart, I just ended up eating the chicken and slaw on its own. The curly fries are also delicious, if anything they were just slightly over-salted. Definitely coming back for some of this again, but I'll just get the tenders and forgo the bun! To others that complained about waiting "outside in the cold" - this is a food truck. It is winter in Oregon. You're going to be waiting. Outside in the cold, if you choose. Or you could just sit your car. Don't be rude because you were in a bad mood.

Seasoned to perfection and the pyre sauce is incredible. The owner/chef was so cool and personable and food was quick and fresh!

I consider myself an excellent judge of chicken wings so if I am impressed by a place, you should be too. Walking in the doors you are met with the ordering counter and an extensive menu with a list 16 of sauces from no heat to "damn hot"! Chicken options to enjoy include traditional bone-in, boneless or tenders. There is a full slate of sides including shoestring fries, beans, mac & cheese, cole slaw, potato salad and okra. There are even some burgers on offer. My nephew and I came in hungry and luckily for us Chicken Bonz offers an "all you can eat" option. For $27.95 it's all chicken all the time! First they bring you a basket of eight wings, after that they bring you four at a time; and you can change the sauces at any time. We added some of those amazing shoestring fries and a drink. What I liked about Bonz wings is the sauces were inventive. I started with the Buffalo lime cilantro and that was the highlight sauce of this visit. Such a complex flavor profile. I went on to mild and then parmesan garlic. The other thing about these wings is there is a coating from the fryer that puts BDubs and Wingstop to shame. Whenever I am in the area, I am coming back here.

    * You only have 1 job *…read more Popped in on a lazy Wednesday afternoon. No one there. Took them 20 minutes to get my order out and the wings were absolute mush. Not crisp at all. Plus they tasted a little freezer burned. When asked about the former... I prefaced the question and told him it might be a tough question to answer: "why are the wings so mushy?" His answer? They sat too long after they tossed them. Because they forgot one wing on my plate they sacrificed the entire batch. No one - NO ONE - wants to eat mushy wings. If you F up? (1) Re-make the order! Or (2) serve what is done and walk out the remainder when its ready. Its as simple as that! This manager shows his willingness to dismiss customers as "being a dick" when I just spent $25 on MUSHY WINGS. Albeit I asked a tough-loaded question... Rather than being professional, in so many words he said "its my standard to push out mushy wings and if you don't like them you're being a dick." Look man.... I dont come in here very often and would never want to order wings prepared that way. Please understand, I'll pay for good food no problem; but DONT SERVE ME SOGGY WINGS AT A WINGS JOINT.... And then act the asshole by calling me a dick because I pointed out the obvious... ! I'd give this place another chance because I cant imagine this standard being "normal" for a restaurant thats been open for so long.

Cashier worker had a big smile and seemed friendly. I was really excited to try their burgers because they are grass fed patties and look very delicious and juicy from the pictures. I particularly enjoy mushroom and Swiss burgers because I feel like they're so hard to fine. Yeah they are such an amazing combination on a burger. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger without mustard. It was $7.75 for just the burger. Why was this burger so disappointing? A few points: - the beef patty (who should be star of the show) was so thin and flat!!, it was bland and sad. - Mayo and mustard on a mushroom and Swiss burger? The Mayo was fine. But to have a mushroom garlic sauce would have made it so much closer to an actual mushroom & Swiss - not enough grilled onions or mushrooms - not sure if Toxic Burgers always have crispy cheese? but mine tasted like old grill. With the burger, it really left so much to be desired because I felt I was mainly eating toasted bread with hints of mushrooms. I didn't really savor the beef and could just taste burnt grill cheese. All in all, nothing like the pictures. I also had sweet potato fries (about $5 for a small). They were yummy, salted enough, and very crispy. I wish the sizes could be different considering the cost. Toxic burger says they're 99% gluten free and uses rice bran oil. Overall, sadly I won't be coming back for burgers, that's for sure.. One day I might try their milkshakes and maybe their wings. Just maybe.

This location is right next to the Buy 2 on Olive & Broadway. They were out of drumsticks so I went for cajun chicken tenders, and I a ordered a honey butter biscuit, red beans & rice, and jamablaya. I also got two boudin bites -- small battered balls of rice, pork & cajun seasonsins. Overall everything was pretty good and flavorful. The tenders were not too spiced and went well with honey-mustard sauce. The red beans & rice reminded me a lot of Popeyes, and the jambalaya had chunks of chicken & pork. The boudin bites were decent with a nice little spicy kick. The biscuit definitely delivered with the rich honey butter flavor. It was a bit decadent. They also offer a blueberry biscuit.
