The original vendor I had used before but their price had gone up a lot, Oscar came through with a quote that was in the middle but more than fair. I ended up choosing him based on his experience and a good first impression when we met and he gave me the quote. The job was to trim 2 tall trees and 2 hedges and it completed within 24 hours from the quote and I am extremely satisfied with the job done. The work was completed by Oscar, his dad and his brother; they all showed up early and finished on time and cleaned up after themselves meticulously. I am glad I picked him even though he was slightly more than the cheapest option because the quality of their work and professionalism made it worthwhile. (I have had work done by cheaper contractors before and ended up having to spend money to fix their problems.) It was a great experience hiring these guys and they worked their asses off even in the 90+ degree heat. Oscar was extremely responsive and communication was a breeze. We had the tree trimmed several years back but I had lost his information. He looked the job over and gave me a verbal estimate. He said he would email a written estimate. I had it before I went to bed that night. His price was in line with the other estimates I got, he is licensed and insured (I checked several and found only two on the CSLB website). We agreed on a time and day, he showed up EARLY with his crew and finished the job in a couple of hours. All the branches and leaves were picked up and removed. This service did everything right.
