Absolutely loved this place and how they transformed my hair! Before I even set foot into their salon, Yanni was such a great help! I found her on Instagram and sent her a picture of my hair letting her know my current struggles with it and what I want. She was very helpful. So of course I had to book my haircut appointment with her! Upon entering, the staff there was very friendly and inviting. Yanni talked me through what she would do with my hair before she began cutting. And did she do an AMAZING job on it! Beyond that, I told Yanni how I would love to style my hair but beyond straightening, I have no idea how to. So after cutting my hair, she showed me how to properly blow dry my hair. After that she was kind enough to wave my hair and teach me how to do that as well. She never pushed products on me, but was ready to give me some recommendations when asked. Edit in response to the salon's comment: Apple cider vinegar rinses are healthy and a natural remedy for many hair issues. This is the only salon I've been to that made me sign this type of waiver over it and that considers it an "extreme" treatment. I'm sure your right about the risk of interaction with the dye, but I encourage you to let your clients know about this before they make their appointment so they can decide prior to booking if they'e comfortable getting their hair colored knowing they will have to sign a waiver that releases the salon of any responsibility. Please, do send me the waiver. I would like to post it on this yelp review so clients can read it for themselves. Educe is not, by any means, a bad salon. The staff is pleasant. They offer you plenty to drink. I was mainly thrown off by that waiver (I really would appreciate a copy of it) and by the vibe of my colorist when I pushed back on a few things. It may be normal for people to drop $305 at your salon, but that is A LOT of money for the average person. Actually, the average person can't afford to spend that much on hair color. So if we're dropping that much money here, it's because we're doing something REALLY nice for ourselves, and there's a level of customer service people expect when spending that much. ______________________________________ Where to begin. There are so many things that throw me off about this salon: I have curly hair and have decided to wear it natural and never heat style. Instead of explaining why it needed to be heat styled prior to dying, the woman who colored my hair was visibly annoyed when I questioned why my hair had to be flat ironed before getting it highlighted. The thing that really made me decide this is not the place for me is when they made me sign a waiver releasing them of any responsibility (including not fixing my hair if it came out terrible) because I had used an EXTREME treatment on my hair in the last 6 weeks. Y'all ready to hear what the extreme treatment was? An APPLE CIDER VINEGAR RINSE! Can you believe? Rinsing you're hair with a mixture of a table spoon of apple cider and 8 cups of water is an extreme treatment according to this salon. I expressed my discomfort with this and since I wasn't going to get my hair blown out (because I'm wearing it natural), would they fix the color if it didn't come out the way I wanted? She made a snarky remark that that's why I should get my hair blown out before leaving the salon. I explained that in other salons the colorist encouraged me to let it air dry and come back to the salon if the color wasn't right. She had no response to that. Feeling extremely defeated, I told her I would go ahead and get it blown out (At this point I'm paying $300 for these highlights and I can't run the risk of not having them fix it if I leave the salon). I think she must have felt guilty because she then assured she would fix it if I didn't like the color once it air dried at home. I get the sense the colorists/stylists that work here get annoyed with clients that don't get all the trimmings (cut, blow out, curl, etc) and make the assumption we're being cheap. For the full highlights and bonding treatment (to protect the curls), plus tip, I paid $305. That's a lot of money. I'm not naming the colorist because she turned it around once she noticed how utterly depressed I was--and the color came out good. This was my second time getting my hair highlighted with her and I was looking forward to making her my go to colorist in Orlando. But I'm done giving my money to snooty salons and people who feel entitled to milk you for every penny, pressure you to get things done that you don't want/need and then treat you poorly for pushing back. read more

It was time a for a change and I decided, based on what I read on Yelp, to schedule an appointment with Yanni. I wasn't disappointed! She knows her craft and explained what she was doing every step of the way and she was thorough with the consultation (and actually listened!). She also offered suggestions, some of which I didn't want to go with and rather than get annoyed or do what she really wanted anyway, she instead worked with what I wanted and offered suggestions based on that (of which I did take her up on). She was also friendly so I felt at ease talking to her, something that is important if I am going to be camped out in a salon chair for a while. She did an excellent job with both cut and color and for the first time in a long time, my scalp wasn't burning during the process. I had my first visit with Kat Chase over the weekend, and it was a great experience! While it's been years since I've been to an actual salon (I was doing my hair myself for a while) this is one of the better ones I've been to over all. The salon it's self is set-up nicely with a clean modern feel to it, and they have pretty much any kind of drink you can think of including beer and wine, which was a nice bonus. Kat is awesome! She texted me the day before to go over what I had in mind and such, so she would be prepare for the next day. We talked pretty much the whole time about all kinds of subjects, which was nice verses the gossip and usual lack of common interests I've had with past hairstylists. She broke down what products she used while washing and such and what they did, which I liked, since I like to get educated on things I should be doing for my hair and overall wellbeing. Now, a salon is only as good as it's stylists, and this place stands up to that. I followed my girl Kat Chase here from her old salon as she is the best! While there I saw the other stylists work and it looked great as well. The salon sells awesome product like Oribe and Mythic oil and the stylists use them on your hair. Morgan was so great!! I went in wanting to take my level 7 blonde (as Morgan informed me lol), which is quite golden, to an icy platinum and she was so excited to help out! I came in at 5 p.m. , initially just for a consultation, and ended up getting it done right then and there so I really appreciated her staying until 9:00 p.m. at night for me. I've never gone platinum before, but I'm in love with it and feel well prepared thanks to Morgan's advice. She also helped me pick out good quality shampoo, conditioner and toner AND told me how best to style it (whether it's a blow dry or curling). She also let me take pictures afterwards using their awesome professional grade light (top notch selfies people!). Chelsea is one of the best stylists I've ever had, not only does she truly understand hair and hair trends she also really cares about your opinion. When it comes to stylists she's one in a million. I've been coming here about a year and a half now and I have a bit of a difficult process; I have natural black and short hair and when I leave I have platinum blonde long waist length hair. Chelsea took my booking and has done it with ease ever since. I've honestly never been to a stylist who has done a bad job, they do a hell of a job hiring for this place. I would trust them with doing color corrections, a big hair change, or just a great place to get a regular treatment done. Two of my favorite things about this place is that they have Chelsea, and they serve Diet Coke. Every time I come in I can either have a nice glass of wine or my favorite bubbly beverage and it's the best day. I would give zero stars if I had the option. You are not worth even one star. Disappointment at the highest level. Mr. Philip Rosado is the most unprofessional person I ever met in my whole life. As a Chairman of a multibillionaire multinational group, I have met quite a load of incompetent people in my life. Still, he is by far the most incompetent and arrogant I, as a father and husband, had to deal with when scheduling an appointment. I scheduled three appointments about 60 days ago, one for my youngest daughter and two for my wife and oldest daughter (all appointments booked under the name of the same daughter since their attendant was too busy to include two new customers at the time - I should have seen the signs of unprofessionalism by them - my fault). Yesterday we arrived back in the United States after a long-deserved vacation just for the appointment we had scheduled for today at 11:15 am. Around 3 pm yesterday, someone in his hair salon called requesting a video call with my daughter around 8 pm, and I informed him we had just arrived back in Florida and we will be going to be on the road from our house in Key Biscayne to our home in Windermere. He called my daughter 30 minutes late and asked her to send some pictures to study the hair to have a plan of action and asked if my daughters have social media. They did it, but this unprofessional person called Mr. Philip Rosado canceled the appointment one hour before, saying he "thinks" he can't do the hair because they scheduled the wrong amount of time. And, worst, since I had the time scheduled for two months now and everyone in the house was ready to visit this horrible salon, I asked if he would be kind to see my daughters hair in person during the booked time and, also, my wife and other daughter so he could plan better. The attendant went to speak with him, and he said he would only be able to see them in a month. Honestly, we are just trying to find a place to serve our family that is not as far as Saint Cloud. YES, Saint Cloud has at least three better hair "whatever" Phillip Rosado think it is, but unfortunately is too far from Windermere. Guess what? My girls and wife will have the hair done by tomorrow since there are hundreds of professionals way better than you, Phillip Rosado. Look, unprofessional Phillip Rosado; great companies and great professionals don't cancel an appointment one hour before without reason. Maybe, the reason is that my girls don't have social media. Guess what again? I will ask for my team to post this review in every single possible media available for people to know how unprofessional you are and for you to learn how to treat your clients appropriately, no matter color, ascent, origin, or whatever discrimination you used to cancel the appointment. He claimed he used same formula as Phillip: however, it was nowhere near the same color. Never got the answer as to why the color was so different (much darker). Made appointment to return next day to see what could be done to correct color. Met with stylist Jeff Gemette - very professional and he worked to pull some of the dark color out. So I booked my boyfriend's haircut online and it was fantastic. Let me be clear, his hair is tight Jewish curls and finding a good hairstylist is hard. We got Wayne and he was super nice and chill. My boyfriend didn't know excalty what he wanted and after talking with Wayne he got a sense of what my boyfriend wanted. Wayne made sure we were happy and feel confortable. I've been going to Educe for almost a year now, and I refuse to go anywhere else. The salon is super trendy and everyone is extremely friendly. As soon as you walk in you're asked if you would like anything to drink. The first time I came in I needed a desperate color correction after a failed ombre by another salon the previous week. I thought there was no way to fix it, but Chelsea pulled through. I've gone to see Chelsea 4 times since, and each time, my hair comes out looking better than I pictured. Everywhere I go I get compliments on my balayage and how blended it is. My friends from California asked me, "Who's been doing your hair? They seriously know what they're doing!" Update on my last visit! I visited the salon for the first time a week ago and even though my hair dresser was wonderful, I was not impressed with the customer service I received in the front the next day when I called because I wanted something changed in my hair. However, the salon manager quickly reached out to me and discussed with me the situation in a very professional manner. I went back to my hairstylist, Chelsea and she is a gem. She sat and talked with me about my hair and provided excellent customer service. My advice is if you ever have any concerns about your hair ask to speak to the hairstylist instead of the person working in the front. If I would have rated my experience with Lucy Black alone I would have given this salon a -1 review, but since she only rents her chair and is her separate owner I have chosen to be fair to the salon and it's owner. The salon was very helpful when it came to listening to my complaint, but Lucy is the worst hairdresser. She says she specializes in balayage yet burnt my hair and looking nothing like a balayage, let alone a foilyage. I hope this saves you money as Lucy was not willing to give me a refund. read more

It has taken me a year to write this review. Yes, ladies and gents, a year. Part of the reason for my wait was initially to give the owners a chance to get back to me. Then, the other part was, I did not want to damage someone else's business or reputation. Simply put, I don't like to leave negative reviews and try to give someone a lot of chances to make a wrong in to a right. With Educe, this never happened. Quite frankly, this situation still irks me to this day and I just need to get it off of my chest and inform the local community. A year ago, I had to get hair extensions put in for an event. All I wanted was long and dark. Simple, right? I got an appointment with a stylist named Neil about two weeks prior to said event. He had to cancel and rebook my appointment twice that day.... leaving me to wander nearby downtown Orlando for a good hour to kill time. During this appointment, he dyed my hair and told me not to use the tape ins I brought, but to buy new ones. (He originally said this hair was fine but then, decided it wasn't) Trusting his expertise, I let him throw my seemingly perfectly good extensions in the trash and order new ones. Obviously, he was not able to apply extensions during this visit so, I got a cut, color, and blow dry that cost me upwards of $300. I asked how much this was going to cost total and, he said don't worry about it. I asked again, saying I had a budget, and he just laughed and ignored my question. He said to come back the next day. I did. The next day, Neil had my extensions. Some were dyed a different color, and the others were a lighter "metallic" brown as he put.... to give me an ombré effect. This was not what I originally wanted but, trusting him again, I obliged. He proceeded to have his ASSISTANT apply the extensions. I repeat. Hi ASSISTANT. Let that sink in.... It was her first day. In my head, this is when some serious alarms started to go off. He assured me this was perfectly ok and normal. I then started asking him how much everything was going to cost. He again, ignored my question. When I pressed harder, he said he would find out and get back to me. He never did..... the owner, Alicia, could clearly see what was going on and didn't ask if anything was ok or give me a chance to tell her "this is not cool". I just sat there.... in an effort to not make a scene, I stayed quiet. I'm not sure why no one stepped in during this mess. I was clearly not getting the proper service. The assistant "finished" my hair only to notice I did not have enough extensions to fill my head. Needless to say, I had to come back AGAIN. At this point, I had to leave town for work the next day and was not able to come back to the salon for another week. I had business meetings AND I was beginning to fear I would not have the hair I wanted for my event. So, I paid another $450 to the salon and walked out with hair that was not blended or colored properly.... or filled in. It was dark outside so, I didn't really get to see the atrocity of what he did until I got home and took a good look in the mirror. I was mortified. Also, I was over $750 in the hole and had to go back AGAIN without knowing how much he would charge me. Long and short, I found another hair dresser who I still go to this day. He fixed my hair and said the extensions were applied very poorly. Needless to say, I had to pay him too. He cut me a deal because I think he just felt so bad.... but still, this whole thing costed me over $1,000 when it was all said and done. Not to mention the lost time and aggravation of having messed up hair. I called the salon. Boy oh boy, did I call that salon. I asked for Alicia or Philip ... thinking they could help rectify the situation. I wanted to stay there but didn't want Neil to do my hair. I also had a feeling he ripped me off seeing some of the money I gave him was "cash" for him buying the extensions. All I wanted to do was be heard and figure out a reasonable solution. At least, have my hair fixed. No answer. I left messages almost once a day for two weeks straight. I reached out on instagram, called numerous times per day, and even left messages with the manager at the time, Daniel. He was a sweetheart and I could tell he thought the situation was messed up. Did I get a response from anyone? Nope. After a few weeks of calling and calling, I just decided to move on. Well, I should have left a review..... now here it is. I hope this helps anyone make an informed decision about this salon. I tried to be as informative as possible and stick to the facts. I am sure there are other talented people at this salon but how this situation was handled was simply unacceptable. I just don't see how you ignore a customer who gave you a lot of money and dismiss things like this. My hair was terrible and I spent a ton of money..... unfortunately, someone else got to be the hero in this situation when educe could have easily fixed it themselves had they simply picked up the phone. read more

The staff was very welcoming and friendly. They got me in quickly for my appt. Angelina sat down with me to talk about what I was looking for and make any adjustments to customize my look. She took what I wanted and elevated it. I got about 8in cut off, and she took the time to do a wet cut, and then to make sure it would look good when dry she finished off with a dry cut. I LOVE my new look and can't thank her enough! I'll definitely brave the hour drive and come back to her for future cuts and possible coloring. I visited Educe Salon yesterday for the first time. I walked in with highlights / balayage wanting to get an all-over color to match my natural hair color and a trim. I had an appointment at 3:30 pm with Danielle. Danielle was very nice and listened to what I wanted to have done. After speaking for about 5 mins, she picked a color and put it in my hair. As i was processing, I saw that she had a 4:15pm haircut & blow-dry appointment. That appointment walked in at 4:20pm ... meanwhile, I started processing at 4:08pm and was supposed to sit there for 30mins. I'm not sure if this is the normal procedure now in new, trendy salons, but I was sitting there waiting for Danielle to finish the appointment that walked in after me. Since she was taking too long blowdrying the other client's hair, Danielle asked one of the salon assistants to shampoo me. I didn't get the assistant's name, but she was very sweet and polite. After I was shampooed and conditioned, I still had to wait another 20ish minutes until Danielle could finish with me. The salon assistant offered me wine when she noticed I finished the water I was initially offered. When Danielle finally returned her attention to me, she trimmed my ends and "blowdried" and "straightened" my hair - all while she basically complained of how much hair I have. I was disappointed with my visit at Educe because I felt like I could have done a better job myself with colors from Sallys. I have been dying my hair for years now, and I understand that it may take more than one visit to achieve the results I want. However, I walked out of the salon with semi-dry / damp hair and it was very frizzy. I also noticed that some of the highlights were still visible. I paid $136 for the color, trim, and blow dry and I left a 20% but I will not be returning to this salon. I could have saved myself the money and dyed / styled my hair myself, and no, I don't need the keratin treatment that Danielle tried to sell me after she "dried" my hair because of how frizzy it still was. read more

I have been going to Educe for over a year and I absolutely love my stylist Chelsea Milligan!! I have very fine and thin hair and opted for extensions for a while. Chelsea and her apprentices always made me feel right at home and Chelsea listens and delivers EXACTLY what I ask her for. She helped me pick out a fun balayage color for my blonde extensions and I have received so many compliments from people who have no idea that I have them. Chelsea is a top quality stylist, no doubt, and her taste is impeccable in terms of picking out cut and color that actually complimented my face shape and skin color. She has an awesome personality too, so she makes the appointment enjoyable overall. I recently decided to take a break from extensions and she did a phenomenal job of coloring and cutting my natural hair. The salon is clean, and it's trendy and upscale without being pretentious. Morgan did my balayage and it was great! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she did exactly that. Couldn't be happier with my hair! The only downside is the price (compared to the last time I was here)...it was $152 and that was with the 20% off coupon I used. Other than that it was great! Morgan is a hair magician! She transformed my brassy golden locks to a beautiful light ashy blond color and was exactly what I was looking for. I have a ton of hair but she was very patient and didn't rush through it. It was my first time at this salon but I will definitely be back. I don't even have to come in for a second appointment to get the right color because it's already perfect and very light. My hair feels so luscious and not damaged at all, and I have received many compliments on it :) The salon itself is very trendy and upbeat. I could feel the energy there in a good way. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful, and they have plenty of beverages to offer. Morgan was VERY knowledgeable and gave me some tips on how to keep up the care on my new hair. I was early to my 6:15pm appointment.At 6:30, I was informed that the stylist I had booked online the same day at around 9am was unable to see me. I was told that their online booking was often wonky and this happens sometimes. Okay fine. The receptionist was very nice but I find this pretty unacceptable and I won't be back. read more
