This is the best Korean store for skincare/makeup (and anything else you can imagine) in Boston! I…read morewent to another Korean beauty store down the road right before going to Tao's, to find out Tao's prices are unbeatable compared to their competitor. I will 100% be back next time I'm in the city!

People of color, BEWARE: I am writing because I just purchased a product at Tao's in Allston and…read morethere was a group of 4-5 people that entered before me who were all Asian and the cashier looked at me when I walked in and was not welcoming to me in any sort of way (For the record, I am a Latino woman.) Then proceeded to just watch me in the store while there was a group of people in there with me. Never once looked at them while they were in the store but when I was checking products out in front of her I turned around and she was watching me and making it a point to stare at me. Then I moved to look at moisturizers that were closer to the door and while I had picked up a moisturizer to pay for it and was moving to go to the register she comes up and asks me if I need help with anything as if she was scared I was going to run out the store when I was quite literally going towards the register. As I handed her the product to ring me out and swiped my card to pay for it she Would not let it go Or bag it up For me until after the card was approved and even after the fact just handed it to me and asked me for a receipt. I will say it is VERY disheartening that in 2025 people are still being profiled racially in an area that is known for being culturally diverse. I understand that there are people who come in and steal but to be profiled was just very uncomfortable and upsetting. Had I looked like the people who had just come in I would've been regarded in the same manner they were which was being left alone and allowing them to shop comfortably but because I was not someone she considered acceptable I was basically followed in the store. I just wanted to say it is very disgusting that in todays age we are still being racially profiled and wanted to make people aware of this incident as I am not sure how many other people also go through this. I unfortunately now have been made uncomfortable and will no longer come in here to shop even though I love K-beauty products but I can not support a place who does this to customers who are a different ethnicity/race.

I love this Sephora! I do try to avoid going to this…read moreSephora because I always end up leaving with more goodies than planned. It's hard not to when they have EVERYTHING. Growing up a makeup obsessed kid, this location healed my soul... I would spend HOURS here without even trying. This was my absolute favorite location as it was the only one nearby that carried Clé De Peau (now CDP is not sold at any U.S. Sephoras) & Pat McGrath makeup line! If you know, you know. Today, I came to pick up some makeup that I've finally hit pan on. I'm glad that everything I was looking for was in stock, in the shades I needed. All the sales associates were super knowledgeable on the products the store carries & are very helpful. Tori, a Haus Labs associate, assisted me with finding my shade in the foundation, as well as helping me find a blush shade that would complement my skin complexion best. Since I got $75+ worth of makeup from Haus Labs today, I was gifted an eyeshadow palette from the brand, which comes with 3 shimmer shades & 3 matte shadows. Super excited to use it! I love this Sephora location and will forever come here for the vast selection they have & the wonderful staff.
