I've been going to this cobbler for over 6 years. You can defiantly tell the old art of shoe repair is still very present in this shop. I've taken heels and boots and they always do a marvelous job repairing the heels and soles. They go so far as to paint match little scuffs and polish /grease the leather that might be needing some moisturizing. Best part of all they were the only boot repair that would mend my cheap pleather boots, while everyone else in town told me they were not worth the repair, they did it. They understand that if a person is going to the trouble of repairing a cheap boot is not because they Don't know it's worth, it's because we love them and were willing to invest to keep them Around a bit longer . I would not use this business!! First they quoted 1 month to repair 2 purses. That seemed excessive since it was only straps being repaired. A month went by and no word from them. I called and spoke with Lori. She said they had not even started on them. She said to give her 2 more weeks to finish them. 2 weeks goes by, no word from Lori. I went to the shop to find out where they were with them. Spoke with Lori and she said they still have not started on them. She proceeded to give me all kinds of excuses. This is not acceptable. I'm not sure how they have been in business for as long as they have. All I know is I would never bring anything for them to repair or feel confident in referring anyone to them as they are horrible to work with. read more

I had a new pair of Hunt riding boots that were too tall (Ariat) who doesn't make a short top in a extra wide calf (one more bad check mark for Ariat) any way I took them to Edwards they cut the boot shorter and I then realized this make the boot too wide at the top, so then I had them take in the top, the calf was still tight even though it was an extra wide, so then Edwards boot stretched them for me. The entire staff was great the boots came out wonderful , and the price was amazing I got a custom fit for much less than anything I could have bought on line custom. Unpleasant experience, not helpful, and overcharged us. I attempted to pick up a pair of dress shoes that my wife had repaired but didn't bring the claim ticket. This was our fault, but when I asked for the pair of women's dress shoes under my wife's name, I was informed that that they would need more information to go on. I was perplexed as I noticed that there were only about six pairs of women's dress shoes on the wall to check, so I asked if they could identify them by her name, but was told they couldn't produce the shoes without checking every pair of the two dozen or so shoes on the wall. The tone was unnecessarily standoffish, and it was clear to me it wasn't necessary to check every pair of shoes they had, only the women's dress shoes. Just a glance told me that after quickly eliminating men's shoes and boots and whatnot there were only six or so pairs of women's dress shoes to check. At this point I felt like I was in an old west standoff. I asked politely for the shoes twice now, had listened to why it was too difficult to provide them to me, and was locking stares with someone who wasn't moving a muscle. I will never understand why more time and energy was put into placing obstacles between me and the shoes than it would have taken to check a few tags and give them to me. Fortunately, I was able to muster the energy to make a last ditch effort not to leave empty handed and asked if I could check the women's shoes myself. It was agreed, and in a matter of seconds with no difficulty, I located my wife's name and the shoes. I then paid the requested charge, only to find out later when my wife produced the claim ticket that I paid $2 more than the quoted price on the ticket. They didn't provide a receipt and I'm not willing to go back for $2. With all of the effort that it took to give them my money, I can only imagine what it would take to get an overpayment back. I would love to support this local business, but I can't patronize a place where I am treated like an adversary, not provided basic courtesy or customer service, and then over charged. They have an extra $2 of our money, but they no longer have our trust. Regardless of how well the repair holds up, I won't be returning. If you go here I strongly recommend that you bring your ticket when claiming your repair, verify that you are being charged the agreed upon price, and ask for a receipt just in case. read more

I have been going to this shop for years. They have repaired everything from my brother's motorcycle boots, my son's work boots, to my Dansko/Sanitas. I also recently bought a new pair of Allegria boots, I noticed the stitching coming out of them after a very short time. I could have returned the boots, but I knew they had quit making these boots and I would not be able to replace them (and I had looked for quite some time to find this style of boot in the color I wanted); Edwards repaired this boot and you can't even tell the stitching has been redone! They have done an excellent job every time, on any work we have taken in. They will tell you if the footwear your are bringing in is a repair job or it is time to replace them, and they are very reasonable on their prices. They also repair other leather items. Everyone I have dealt with, at this shop, is pleasant and helpful, and anyone I have referred has has been pleased with the work they do.
