I'm from California and recently got to try eegees with an AZ native friend! I got the mango one and oh my it was so yummy. Service was quick and the workers are professional and serve in a timely manner. This location is a little isolated, but with ample space for people to stop by. I've never seen anyone eating inside. For years, I've drive down to Tucson or Casa Grande with friends to get our Eegee's fix. I am thrilled they opened locations in The Valley with this one being the closest to me. Watermelon is my favorite, and loved the Stranger Things version of it. Mainly come for the Eegee, but their food is also pretty good. Great service both inside the drive and within the location. I have been waiting in the drive thru for 20 mins. Nobody even came to the window for 7 minutes to even see if we had paid for our order we sat there for so long before paying for our order. I almost left because I just assumed that the place had been stricken with some kind of airborne disease and everybody inside suddenly perished while trying to make us our drinks and sandwich. This was my 2nd time at an Eegees. This one is less than a year old, looks great and was very clean. The Manager, Mercedes, treated me really well. I had their classic Grinder which tasted great. I also had the fries loaded with cheese and bacon-best I ever had of that combination. Last but definitely not least was a large Eegee lemon smoothie which can't be beat in this 105F plus weather. First time at eegee's - there is a lot of hype around this place! I was surprised to see the dining room so dirty considering there were no guests eating when we arrived. I couldn't find a single clean table to sit at and there were crumbs/fries on the floor under one of the tables. It also took a while to get out order of two sandwiches and two in drinks (to go). Decided to try the Eegee's that just opened up the other day. We had salads, loaded ranch fries, a sub, a grinder and a couple flavors of ices. I liked the sub (except for the very green tomato), it reminded me of Jimmy John's but with softer bread. Their ices are always good. The fries don't do much for me, especially with the fake bacon bits. The salads were OK, I prefer Salad 'N Go for about a dollar less per salad. Close to the 60 freeway and with ample parking. Prices are about average. My order taker was very friendly. Unfortunately, nothing here that would make me crave their food. Their best items are the ices in the hot Valley summers. read more

We decided to try Eegee's for something different. We both ordered grinders, I ordered the pastrami and my husband the Deluxe. By definition a grinder is a hot sub. When our order finally arrived his was cold. I took it to the window where I was informed only pastrami and meatball are hot and the others you have to ask for it to be toasted. Perhaps they should have asked if he wanted it toasted. The sandwiches were packed and pretty good, but the place itself is a pigsty. We normally do drive thru and it's takes forever even if there isn't a line. Today we tried to mobile order and it took over 15 minutes past the pickup time without an apology or explanation. Just had the half meatball sub and pizza fries, and they were absolutely amazing (like always). The soda machine had ran out of Pepsi. I mentioned it to the worker and she replaced the syrup bag, and before you know it the Pepsi was available again. The wait time was a little slow, but it is 2:30pm on a Monday so I am sure they weren't expecting a wave of customers when I came in. Ok, the eegee drinks are really good. The service was absolutely terrible. It took over a half hour to get an order of fries and a pretzel. Now, the employees were very nice, but whoever writes the schedule does a terrible job and is putting their employees under scrutiny. People were saying the worst things about the girls in the back, and they didn't deserve it. There were people waiting an hour for their food. [UPDATE EDIT] My review when from 3 stars to a 1 star recommendation as a place to avoid. Here's why ... this place is steadily going downhill. It's becoming a hangout for non-customer sketchy teen friends of the staff, with no customers in sight. Today I ordered an Italian Grinder, what I got is not what I ordered, it's some sort of chicken salad with very old wilted lettuce (see photo). Despite my app clearly showing what I ordered and it even being printed correct on my receipt Eegee's refused to do anything, regardless that it was their fault they say it's against their company policy to replace a sandwich after it has left the store. Tell me who opens a wrapped sandwich they're picking up to go before they drive off? Write to their Tucson HQ? The owners ignore you. 30 stores and they can't even manage that and they want to convince people to buy franchises to this failing company? They blame their regional manager, their responses to negative reviews are canned "bot" platitudes and the owners ignore emails sent to them. I've updated my original review now, dropping it to 1 star after my 5th (and last ever) visit to Eegee's, I doubt they will still be in business next year. Save yourself the trouble, this place is a dump. [ORIGINAL REVIEW] Although I had never heard of this small Tucson based milkshake chain I was interested in trying them. I do everything I can to avoid the huge fast food chains, preferring to keep my money in town with local small business. This one isn't local but they are small (30 locations). My experience with them has been a roller-coaster ride to say the least. I actually have yet to try their shakes which is their main menu item, mostly due to their bait and switch ploy of offering a sample then pulling it away in the hope you'll pay for one instead. I mean how much could it cost them to make what amounts to a slushie? What has brought me back four times are their sub/grinder sandwiches, a decided secondary menu item for them. Each time I've ordered online, three of them using their app, which is appallingly bad. So here's the positive news - they make a fairly good sub sandwich and it costs somewhere between a Subway and the way overpriced Jersey Mikes. You don't get anywhere near the number of options and toppings as Subway offers but you don't get any of the negative vibes that seem to come with Mike's way. Now the bad news. Their Crismon store, which is them dipping their toe into the Phoenix area market, is underperforming to the point I wonder why they bother with it. I have never seen more than one other person there. I do see a lot of kids who are friends of the employees hanging out, chatting it up with the staff. As a customer I shouldn't have to ask them to move out of the way so I can buy something. And that's with the manager on duty standing right there! Reading other reviews it seems like bad-to-horrible customer service is their #1 complaint, you would think someone besides "Tina" would read these reviews and actually care rather than post flaccid cookie-cutter web-bot responses which offer feel-good homilies but zero action and results. Back to that app for a minute - I know this is a small company trying to act big but I wonder sometimes if the three guys behind it are actively looking at the business or it's just an investment thing for them. They make a big point about earning "points" for each visit by scanning a QR code at the window or from your receipt yet the store employees don't know anything about it. They say they don't have any QR code thingie in the store and their receipts don't print QR codes. How could they be open so long and they don't know about their biggest source of return visits or worse, how the owners don't know that their trial balloon franchise store isn't set up to work with their app? Then there's that mystery "free" slurpie - when I tried (three times) to redeem it the store employees say it's for "next time" despite the app having a countdown timer that shows it expiring a couple of hours later. I mean how much would it cost them to just honor the damn drink offer rather than try to pretend it doesn't exist? The bottom line is that most fast food franchises fail unless they are McDonalds, Subway or one of the major brands. There is absolutely nothing here to entice a new customer to drive in to this location in a dark vacant lot in a part of town than has no major business nearby and that totally dries up after 5 PM. And by the way, they don't even have a driveway, you have to hunt for by winding around Dutch Bros' parking lot. They seem to be paying big bucks for a website and phone app but don't know how to use it and are unable to train and supervise their employees remotely 3 hours away from HQ. I can't say how the elusive drink that appears to be their main menu item is but I can say I like their sandwiches if they can keep the quality up and the price low (it seems the double meat option is already gone). read more

The Grinders are my current favorite kind of sub sandwich and I very much enjoy the Eegee's drink things. I still haven't tried the fries but they look very delicious so I'll have to do that soon! Staff is usually pretty friendly to us, they are all very young, so I can see how that's an issue for some people but our order has never been wrong and we've never been treated poorly so to me that's all that matters, it's fast food not fine dining. read more

I've been to this eegee's many times, however my last visit was absolutely ridiculous. Getting into the parking lot was a complete nightmare. The drive thru line was so long, it backed up into the parking lot and you couldn't drive in and park! You had to back up, drive around the Dutch Bros next door, and around the Crismon side just to gain access to the parking lot. Walked in and walked up to the order window. There was nobody in line. I stood there for literally 5+ minutes and not 1 employee acknowledged my existence. By this time there was now a long line of customers behind me and everyone was looking around and growing irritated because nobody was taking orders. Finally, a younger girl came to the window and took my order. I then had to find a place to awkwardly stand and wait for my to go order. There were no open seats and I had to stand around the drink station/restroom area. Between the amount of kids being allowed to run wild through the restaurant and workmen in this area, I felt extremely uncomfortable waiting for my food. I only ordered a single sandwich to go. It should not have taken so long for a single sandwich. I could see inside the pickup window where the sandwiches were being made. The person making the sandwiches was moving slower than molasses and could not do 2 things at once.....could not talk to their co-worker while putting the lettuce onto the sandwich. Had to stop all movement to stand and talk, meanwhile they've got a line out the door and drive thru backing up the whole parking lot! Now I'm on here (Yelp) to see what others have experienced by reading their recent reviews and I now find out that they have a B health rating. Wow! Will think twice before coming here again. Terrible employees! Very rude and not helpful at all!!! Well I tried giving this place an opportunity to make things right however they just ignored me after handing out an incorrect order! No receipt provided either. I got a salad with no chicken on it and had moldy tomatoes. As seen in the picture I had requested no tomatoes. They wouldn't make me a new salad or refund me my money. I will call corporate tomorrow as soon as they open. Also I waited in the drive thru for about 20 minutes and then they asked what my name was and they still didn't have my order for another 5-10 minutes. I felt the price was a good value. 8" sub fries and a eegee(smoothie/icee) for like $11. There was a few subs that sounded good. Wouldn't recommend the fries. Eegee was like a thicker icee I guess. I have uber eats deliver my eegees subs and every time it is really good. I order the spicy chicken sub with chipotle ranch and it is the best. Their ranch is amazingly good. And they have different flavors of it. The few times I've ordered they've been really delicious each time. Their fries are okay, nothing too special but not bad either. Today was the first time I have been to Eegees. My kids had a free kid size slushie from their summer reading program and both ordered pina colada. They came out and were orange. Both of my kids tried it and said it tasted like mango. I tried it and agreed it was mango. I talked to the workers and they confirmed it was pina colada. I told them it tasted like mango and had mango chunks but they again reassured it was pina colada. I have a mild reaction to mango and by this point I was feeling it on my tongue. To make me feel better they gave me a 3rd mango. My kids hated them and were very sad. We threw them away and left. Not a good first experience. read more

I grew up on Eegee's (from Tucson) my favorite place to go and always looked forward to trips back to Tucson. Now that we have one close by I was excited, until we went..... 1st time day of opening, and then today. Day of opening was better but if it were my first time I would not return. So I went there today for lunch. Worse than opening day. French fries had so much salt on them it was like like eating salt block, I like salty foods but that was too much, so 2.99 for large fries in the trash. My original grinder was good but I asked for it toasted and it was as if it sat too long under a heat lamp. This Eegee's girl HATES giving a bad review, but I need the management to see so they can fix the issues. There many local sandwich/sub shops in the area that have delicious ingredients.
