Service: I've come to expect over promising / under-delivering from services especially since the pandemic started, but Jordan of Efficient Solar and Blalock not only did everything they said they were going to do, did it right and on time. Aesthetics: One thing I noticed about some other homes is that they didn't bother to color match the conduit going from their electrical box up the side of their homes and to the panels which really uglifies their homes. Blalock color matches the paint on both the walls and the roof tiles so you don't notice the conduit. Function: The system looks and works great and just a short time after the plans were finalized, the system is up and working great. The Enphase app works great! (I did buy the separate cell service add on because our WIFI is lame.). Cost Effectiveness: I bought an electric vehicle, but our electric bill was over $450 per month even before the new car. When considering that gasoline cost was about another $400 (16 mpg SUV) and now that cost is completely gone, that's an $850 per month savings. So after the tax credit, the cost of these panels will be paid off in about 2.6 years. (We now produce more electricity from solar than we use.) If you look at electricity savings alone, we will be at breakeven in about 4.5 years. read more

I waited a full six months after installation to write this review so it would be a real review based on both the service Jordan provided and the system that was installed. In terms of customer service, I don't think I've ever had someone as helpful as Jordan. We were able to work through multiple questions and different ideas to get the exact setup that was best for us. Jordan was outstanding to work with and was able to provide help long after the contract was executed. We also had a great customer service experience working with Blalock on the install and setup. We had two meters which complicated our billing but the people at Blalok were able to walk us through our options and even did the paperwork for us. The installation wasn't the smoothest process in the world, but when is it ever? and did it matter? Contracting is never perfect and it did not matter at all. Due to an unforseen issue the company electrician had to come twice but there was no stress for me. The company simply amended their schedule and got the job done without any additional cost. And we had city approval a couple of days later. No issues! The panels themselves are working fantastic and producing what we expected. We are very happy with the product and the service.
