I came to Atlanta to pick up a friend coming here from Ethiopia. We stopped in the area to say hello to another friend who invited us to lunch. Eggs Up was our destination. We were greeted by a super friendly waitress, Morgan, who throughout the meal was the highlight of my lunch. As my Ethiopian friend was ordering his omelet, Morgan was going over the side options...potatoes, grits, and fruit. Since grits are a "souther thing" I was explaining what they are similar to in Ethiopia...I chose to describe it as porridge. As Morgan and my friend quickly told me...grits aren't like porridge; however, they were still good. The meal was superb, I ordered the Philly Steak Omlet (and porridge). But the service is what I would come back for. 5 stars to Morgan who made this meal worth writing a review for. read more

Left without eating a thing. Sat down and waited 20 minutes before a server came along. Asked for water only and that took another 10 minutes. Met another couple who both ordered coffee. After waking another 15 minutes for the coffee, I asked the server about the coffee. The alleged 'manager' then told me he didn't like my attitude, and told us to leave 'his' restaurant. When I tried to talk to him, he immediately threatened to call the police. When did asking about coffee that wasn't served become a crime? I had to keep myself from laughing and then left the restaurant. Two couples used to go here at least once a week - needless to say that we won't be back. I ate there one time before and the food was good. It was very crowded so I sat at the bar; the stools are very uncomfortable so won't be doing that again. The lady next to me was uncomfortable in the stool also. Today I called to get a to go order started while I grocery shopped but no one answered, just a recording asking me to leave a voice mail so I just got a meal at the grocery store deli. I did not want to call after shopping and have to sit and wait for my order nor did I want to eat there; I wanted to take my meal home to eat. Please answer your phone when customers call. read more

I tried this place for the second time. My first experience was not good but I decided to give it another try and it was still terrible. I sat down and watched the server BS with another customer for 10 minutes and finally got a coffee from the bus boy. Then a guy walked in after me to get a to go order and the server helped him and another customer before I finally got to place my breakfast order. I finally got my breakfast order but I did not get and silverware so I asked my server for some silverware and she said ok and then went off and took another to go order and also took another tables order and I sat there looking at my breakfast getting cold while see glanced at me twice and I never got my silverware so I let. Food came out cold, they never checked up on us after 20 minutes, we had to call the server over for the check. She acted like we were an annoyance; this was the server with the dyed red hair. Cafe mocha was loaded with huge ice, maybe only half the glass had coffee if even that. Server was impatient and rude. I got the chorizo scrambler. Cold, but chorizo was good I guess. The toast that came with it was just dolloped with too much butter, not even an attempt to spread it around. Won't be coming back. read more

I had an absolute great time here. I was greeted quickly and sat quickly. My server came over and I got my coffee and then looked over the menu. There was only 2 servers and a few tables sat so I took my time and didn't mind if my server wasn't suuuuuper attentive to me. Times are harder and it's holiday season so why not give grace. Anyways , when she came back to me I gave my order and my food came out fairly quickly. Shrimp and grits bowl may not look the best but it was amazing and I'm going to order it every time I come back. The Baja chicken omelette had a ton of chicken inside and was flavorful!! The crema sauce on it really brought it together nicely and omg the banana pudding French toast!!!! I would order all of it again. Please order that if you love banana pudding. My server was great, food was great, plenty of space for large parties as well as tons of booths for smaller seating families and friends. And everything was reasonably priced. Nothing over the top. I was really hoping for good experience but was disappointed. Am a coffee hound and love it when I get a side pot of coffee so I can self refil. NOT the case here Got one cup of coffee til I was finished meal. Server walked off and was talking and wrapping utensils instead of checking if we needed anything when other person brought our food. I even asked him to tell the server to bring a refil. She didn't come til I was on last bite. Food was mediocre would not be back. read more

My husband & I had the loveliest experience at Eggs Upp Grill in Milton where we went for Mother's Day Brunch today. The restaurant was quite crowded & the host suggested that we might want to sit at the counter! As we were both kind of hungry, we agreed. There were 8 stools there, 4 of which were already taken, so we sat to their left, then a father & son sat in the remaining 2 stools to our left. The waiter was charming, the conversation amongst the group there was stimulating, and the food was delicious! The first person to leave was the person at the end, who left instruction with the waiter to pay it forward & paid for the 3 ladies to his left! They were so pleased & surprised, that when they left, they asked the waiter to do the same, and paid for our bill. This is something I had never experienced before, and was so pleased that when we got ready to leave, we did the same & paid the bill for the father & son to our left! What an incredible way to celebrate today!!! The wait staff was just terrific and the food was even better than that! read more

2/11/23 - party of 2 for brunch I love going out for breakfast/brunch when traveling vs eating the freebie food at hotels. My son suggested Eggs Up Grill and liked it on his previous visits. The restaurant is located at the end of a strip center and it quite large inside. We were seated promptly and the waitress was quick with our coffee and water. Our waitress messed up on both our orders. I asked for the Everything French Toast without the whipped cream cheese. My plate arrived with a mountain of cream cheese on top of the french toast. I didn't ask for a side of bacon but she brought it and charged me for it. My son ordered the Founders Hash Benedict but he received the southwestern plate. Once the waitress delivered the plates, she was MIA for the rest of our meal. I flagged down another waitress who got my son's order corrected and refilled our drinks. The food was good (after I scraped off the mountain of cream cheese) but all the order issues and lack of service from the first waitress put a damper on our meals. It sucks to wait so long for the food you ordered and to wait for coffee refills on a cold morning. I think this was all due to an absent-minded waitress who seemed to prefer bagging up to go orders vs waiting on her tables. read more

We had an amazing waitress, Iris. She checked on us but not too much. I had been wanting stuffed French toast and that was not on the menu. I asked if they would create this for me and she said "I'll need to check", she did and I think they said ok but hesitantly. It was delicious!! Thanks to the cook my breakfast was awesome. We just found this restaurant a few weeks ago.... Opened last fall. The staff is amazing..... and so friendly. Never have had to wait for a table during the week or the weekend. We have been to this restaurant many times. We always manage to get the same little booth for two! Which we love. Everyone here is so friendly and the place is spotless! Brent was our server today, he was awesome! We forgot to take pictures of our food, but always delish and exactly the way we like it! I had my earl gray tea which comes in hot water tea pot for extra pours and my boyfriend had a large coffee which they bring right away and free refills which they always keep a close eye on! ! I had the classic, and my boyfriend had the grand classic with pancake on the side! Abundant food, hot and great price! They just put umbrellas out on their patio!! We can't wait! Went for bunch and had a great meal. We frequently go to the one close to my in-laws home in NC. We were so excited to see that there was a new location by our house. I highly suggest the Baja omelette with spinach. The potatoes could have used a little more love but everything else was great! Our server was very friendly and attentive.
