Always a nice breakfast spot. Nothing special but a quick and good option in River north. Service is always super friendly and fast. Casual diner feel with a classic egg breakfast.

Strawberry Crunch French Toast

This Saturday was our first visit to Egg Harbor at the Streeterville location, and we had a great experience. We arrived for a 9:30 call-ahead reservation, which worked perfectly. The menu reminds me a lot of First Watch spots around the Midwest--lots of fresh, creative options alongside the breakfast classics. Plenty of "yummy choices" that make it hard to decide. I ordered the Avo-Rizo Burrito, a hearty wrap stuffed with scrambled eggs, chorizo, avocado, and cheese, served with salsa and potatoes. Every bite had that perfect balance of flavor--rich but not heavy. For something sweet, my wife couldn't resist the Strawberry Crunch French Toast, thick slices topped with fresh strawberries, a crunchy granola-like topping, and just enough whipped cream. Both dishes were excellent and way bigger than our appetites. Our caramel macchiato arrived at the table in seconds, while the regular coffees took a little longer. But once everything was served, the food more than made up for the wait--beautifully plated, hearty portions, and absolutely delicious. What I really appreciate about a place like Egg Harbor is the combination of value, excellent food, and competent, friendly service. It feels like the kind of spot you can count on for a relaxed, satisfying breakfast or brunch. I'd happily come back to work my way through more of the menu.

The food was great, breakfast items, they bake all their coffee in house, the tea Is fresh brewed. The bacon is awesome, same as the waffles.

Tried Egg Harbor for a late Sunday breakfast and had a fantastic experience. It can be tough to find a healthy, high-protein breakfast at a typical cafe or diner, but Egg Harbor totally delivered. I went with their "Create Your Own Scrambler" and chose egg whites, mozzarella, chicken sausage, and onions. It came with their perfectly seasoned potatoes and an English muffin and was exactly the kind of high-protein, lower-calorie meal I was looking for. I really appreciated how customizable everything was, and even better, it tasted amazing while still feeling clean and nutritious. I also added a side of meat, two slices of turkey bacon and an extra chicken sausage , for just $6, which was well worth it and was the perfect add on to my meal. Overall, it was a great breakfast experience, and I'd definitely order again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a satisfying and health-conscious start to the day!

We loved Egg Harbor! For a busy Saturday, huge kudos to the staff (front and back) for a very efficient and delicious experience. Huge menu and everything was very fresh and tasty! They had many specials as well. The banana bread French toast was delightful. They even offered us coffee to go at the end of the meal, which helped us fuel the day. We were visiting, but would surely recommend or return!

BYO scramble with potatoes

I love Egg Harbor. They're a solid and reliable breakfast spot that is always consistently good. This time I built my own scramble with egg whites, chicken sausage, roasted onions, spinach, and tomato. Not too oily and tasty! It comes with potatoes which are always good - less crispy with delivery of course but still good. This time they were a bit stale but again that could be from delivery. I upgraded my toast to specialty pancakes, love that option! This time I got the cinnamon swirl which were tasty and not too sweet. I've also tried the lemon poppyseed in the past which were also delicious. In my top pancake picks for the city. Overall, love egg harbor and highly recommend.

Family of 6, 3 little kids visiting for the weekend & found this gem close to our hotel. The food, so tasty, great portions! Decent prices. Our server was amazing. If you get Lisa, you won't be disappointed. She was so patient with us, and gave great suggestions. There's a small kiddie corner to keep little ones entertained while you wait for the food. Ambiance gave family vibes, might be back before leaving town!

Great breakfast and gluten-free spot. Good for a weekend brunch with friends or casual date. They have an entire gluten-free menu, for those with allergies. Our waitress was super attentive and kind, and gave great suggestions. I loved my Honey Harborcinno, a perfect coffee drink on a hot day. Not too sweet. The Farmer's Market Eggs Benedict was a yummy and unique menu item. The veggies went well with the egg and crispy English muffin. House potatoes were slightly crispy and lightly seasoned.

Great menu selection, great service and great food....nuff said! There are several locations and this is my go to for a hearty breakfast brunch or lunch.

The food was delicious. I started off with the S'mores mocha and for food I got cinnamon roll pancakes with an omelet and potatoes. It hit the spot!

Woke up late and this was one of the places that didn't have a long wait time by the time I rolled out of bed LOL. Place is inside a building that was on my way to my next tourist spot. I probably had 30 minutes left prior to them closing and they didn't seem to rush the service. Which to me was good and it seemed normal service so I knew my food would not pay the price. I ordered the traditional breakfast with sausage patties, scrambled eggs and house potatoes. The food was good. Had I probably ordered something else I might have had a wow fish, but bc I'm lactose intolerant I played it safe and the food was good. I ordered a classic latte and that was good. Love that I could still taste the coffee and not overly sweet. Service was quick and the server didn't mind all my fairy questions. If I do happen to go back I would definitely go back.

Country meets City! Beautiful upscale farmhouse decor. Food/service was great and quick! Large gluten free menu for one in our party with celiac. Skillets were a huge hit

Brown Sugar Oatmilk latte

Great breakfast! The service was quick, and attentive. We were sat right away on a Friday morning, and served quickly as well. The food was just a general good breakfast! Definitely a good choice, but nothing life changing. The coffee I ordered was really good though, and would highly recommend the Brown Sugar Latte

We started with a mocha, a solid, well-balanced drink that wasn't overly sweet and was just perfect. We didn't plan on eating here, but the menu was way too tempting. We ordered the cinnamon roll, and wow. This was insanely good. Most cinnamon rolls in the U.S. feel like sugar-heavy, cinnamon-flavored buns, but this one was light, flavorful, and beautifully made. The irimshik on top really elevated it, subtle, warm, and just sweet enough. Easy 10/10. Next was the cottage cheese pancake, which was also very good. It had a generous amount of cottage cheese stuffed inside, and paired with the sweet irimshik dip, the dish came together really well. 9/10. We then tried the qattama. It was good. flaky, crispy, and reminded me of a paratha. It came with a sour irimshik dip. While each component was good, I felt the qattama would shine more with a gravy-based dish. 7/10. Finally, we ordered the Nan Salma pasta. It's a tarry-based white sauce pasta with a unique flavor profile, and it was genuinely yum. Definitely something different and worth trying. Highly recommend it. 8/10. You have space to sit down and work as well. Service was good too. Some of the dishes might take 7-10mins to get prepared. It's not like your daily coffee shop who have stuff ready to go Overall, a great spot with unique food and a welcoming vibe. Definitely coming back. 9/10

The staff was genuinely nice too. Asked how my day was and even recommended couple of pastries. I ordered a hot chocolate with an almond blueberry financier. The hot chocolate was honestly perfect. Rich but not heavy. You get that dark chocolate hit first, then it smooths out. Creamy. Warm in the right way. The financier was great. Nutty from the almonds, little bursts of blueberry, soft but not mushy. I dipped it into the hot chocolate (had to), and yeah... even better. No regrets there. It's a small place, but if you get there early, you might grab a seat with a really nice city view. Worth it. I'll definitely be back. Especially now that I know there's a solid hot chocolate spot right nearby.
