Do you know what I like to start my morning with? A cup of coffee with a spot of something left over from the person that used it before me. I then like to follow it up with an atmosphere of a German Beer Hall because I learned it was a 2 yr old siblings birthday because that sat that close to me. The food is delicious, if you like your bacon to hang off the side of the plate and slather the cleaning agents of the table while the plate is being placed. Oh and if you like your sausages cooked on the outside and tender raw on the inside you found your spot! If you also like ordering and getting something else even better!! Ordered 2/2/2 and got a 4/2/3?!? For all of the above be prepared to pay $15-17 for a 2/2/2 (eggs/bacon/pancakes) because that price is worth it when you get a rolled paper towel for a napkin. Seriously whoever owns this place stop listening to the "consultant" that sold you on high price, Sysco generic provided food stuff in which your whole profit model is high turnover and stuff as many as you can in. The table we sat at with the plates, various bits (creamer, syrup, etc) was so jammed you couldn't put a phone down. read more

The egg house staff made this whole experience a great one. The place had its own character/ charm. Our waiter ( forgive me I've forgotten his name.) greeted us with a smile and a very bubbly personality. I ordered the steak and eggs quite honestly I expected the steak to be over cooked as I like it rare, but it came just as I ordered. My wife had the eggs Benedict, the portion to price is overwhelmingly pleasing. Our friends were equally impressed as this was all of our first time there. The whole experience was so awesome! Great experience at Egg House! I was very pleased they offer gluten free pancakes, French toast & more. Today, the manager ran down the street to give us our receipt after we forgot it & that was greatly appreciated. Very friendly staff here, the food is incredibly delicious & good portions. I've left a few reviews for Egg House, but had to add this one. i wanted to try scrambled eggs the way I cook them at home, i add a little cream cheese to the pan and it makes very velvety eggs. I asked my server if they could do this and instead of rolling her eyes, she checked with the chef who then came out and asked exactly how I wanted them! they were great and he came out again to make sure it was what I wanted. this place is a winner and will be our go to for a long time. read more

Our lunch group tried this place today. It took over from another popular spot. All the food the eight of us had was delicious! Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. It has been brightened up and is cuter. I had the Berry Chicken Salad. It was loaded with wonderful fruit. The dressing was perfect. Others had bennies, omelets, and avocado toast. Wanted to check this spot out as we're new to the area and doing our rounds of checking off every restaurant in downtown Arlington Heights. The place was packed but they move fast so we were seated under 5 mins. Great service overall! I decided to order corned beef hash skillet while my partner got their Swedish pancake. Swedish pancake had nice flavor and would definitely order again. The corned beef hash on the other hand unfortunately lacked flavor/texture and felt like I was eating a canned corned beef mush with chunks of potatoes even though it was advertised as homemade corned beef. I tried dousing it in sauce but ultimately decided to just take it to-go to try re-cooking it on a skillet for some texture and flavor. I intentionally ordered their skillet to compare it to egg harbors but ended up being disappointed. I do want to give it a go again and try other food items as the place is fairly new and there's always room for improvement. read more

So I went here the other day for the 1st time since it changed owners. Food was really good and nice size portions. Had heard through the grapevine either the owner or mgr. makes his employees cry. Sure enough as I was leaving saw him speaking to one of his staff out in the open and the employee was crying.why would you want to dine at an establishment in which the owner or mgr makes his employees cry. Everyone can't be doing something wrong there. Our server was excellent. Can't recall her name. May or may not go back. Just not into places in which they bully their employees. This is a newly remodeled super clean lovely restaurant. Every worker makes you feel welcome and is super efficient! It is very clean, with lots of room to sit and eat. Tables are cleared each time you put an empty sugar packet down. The service, food and ambiance are terrific. We live in Rolling Meadows and this is our new and favorite weekend breakfast place. The prices are great and the food even greater! Our server today was Nancy; beautiful smile and very welcoming! She became an instant friend! Not someone who is just doing her job. She is an asset to this restaurant. What I also like is that the owner walks around and greets you making sure everything is to your satisfaction. This was our first time at Egg house during the Memorial Day parade. The atmosphere was so fun with the hanging plants and the cool lights. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The staff was very friendly and helpful with order suggestions. We had the tiramisu pancakes and the strawberry stuffed French toast and kids pancakes. Everything was so good!
