    Cracked Egg Burger a winner!
    Raymond K.

Greetings! [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you are looking for a SOLID choice for breakfast or lunch, point your car to Randhurst Mall and get ready to be impressed by the food, service, and ambiance you'll find at Grade A Cafe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Today I was there for lunch and decided that the Cracked Egg Burger was the way to go. Fresh patty, excellent house sauce (with quite a zip!), crisp pickles, and a quality bun. Solid effort! They also make a killer chilllaquilles with a great salsa verde...my go-to for breakfast...yum! Other menu items served at other tables always looks on point. They pour a great cup of coffee...better than most! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bathrooms are clean and fresh visit after visit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is attentive and focused. I hope you will see for yourself why Grade A Cafe is one of my regular haunts! Until next time...tk

This is your average american breakfast place. There are a lot of different food and drink options so there's something for everyone. I came on a Saturday and was seated right away. Our waitress was attentive and overall nice. The food order ended up being 2 smoothies (one banana, one pomegranate), french toast, and the farm stand frittata. The smoothies were good since they use frozen yogurt. The french toast had plenty of berries however they forgot the mascarpone so I had to mention that. Flavor was fine. The quiche frittata had way too much cheese and I had requested to go easy on it but they did the complete opposite. It was still good but I would probably try something different next time. The pancakes were standard. All in all, the food was pretty regular. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is clean and minimalist so it's a pretty casual atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is a good place for a cheap american breakfast.

Solid option for breakfast if you're shopping at Randhurst. The prices are on average a little lower than other similar options in the area, but they don't compromise on portion size or quality. The menu is quite varied with everything from pancakes to waffles to omelets to skillets to sandwiches. The food is cooked pretty well here, fresh and hot. The flavors are solid, pretty similar to what you get at other similar restaurants -- maybe a bit less seasoned and less salty. Textures could be improved up on a little bit as there wasn't as much contrast on the crispy and fluffy items as I would've liked. With that said , for the price -- I don't have any complaints as it met all my brunch needs well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room is also quite large and spacious with fast and friendly service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, worth a visit if you're shopping in the area for a hot and delicious breakfast.

A good quality breakfast after a good pickleball session! Can go wrong with any of the food here. The service was kind of slow. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is great very open and welcoming for sure.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came here on a Mother's Day so I expected it to be super busy and it sure was. Waited about 20 min to be seated which wasn't bad but the wait for the food was worse, about 40 minutes. I have to say the the breakfast skillets, I had the corned beef skillet was delicious! Service was a little spotty and they def needed more help and preparation for busy holiday. I'd probably come back for breakfast but it's really not a destination place to go. This place used to be the Eggsperience and it's pretty much the same stuff.

Grease A Cafe is a new and familiar restaurant at the same time. I have been to this restaurant before when it was under a different name. After having a delightful conversation with the manager, I learned that the chef changed the name of the restaurant in order to cook more to his personal style. I could taste the difference. I had the French toast waffle, which intrigued me when I saw it on the menu. This is their Belgian waffle dipped in their French toast batter. This was light and fluffy with a great taste. I highly recommend Grade A Cafe and can't wait to come back to try more!

I used to visit this particular location when it was Eggsperience. We used to really enjoy visiting that establishment. Looks like they basically repainted and sprayed everything for a fresh makeover. We arrived and sat down immediately. Service was good and our waitress checked on us several times. Food was passable but coffee was just a tad on the bland side of things. Eggs were OK. Hashbrowns were decent. But bacon seemed like it may have been sitting out for several hours. All in all I've had much worse, but I've also had much better. I think we're gonna take a break from this place. There are far too many breakfast joints in the region that are more impressive.

I LOVED IT HERE!! Me and my family got seated pretty quick and we were a party of 6! I met the owners of the restaurant and they both have such an uplifting personality so sweet and kind! I ended up getting the strawberry waffles with a Carmel frappe 10/10 combination. Overall 1000/10 would come again.

Grade A Cafe replaced Eggsperience in Randhurst Village. The place largely looks the same, and has a similar, if not the same, menu. You can't go wrong with the chicken pesto panini, and their sides of fries are enormous. We snagged an outdoor table and enjoyed dining in the sun, with an umbrella to block the direct light. We were warned there were bees near the tables, but we only saw a couple and they didn't bother us at all. This place is a nice option for breakfast, brunch or lunch! Just note that it closes at 3:00.

There are certain Wednesday nights when the universe cracks open just enough to remind you that God…read morehas a twisted sense of humor. This was one of them. I walked into Public House expecting beer and bar food. Instead, I encountered Amanda. Ladies and gentlemen, we need to discuss the P.O.A. Index, an entirely unscientific scale developed after decades of rigorous field research conducted in bars, restaurants, airports, and regrettable weddings. Amanda is an 11-and-a-half out of 10. This is statistically impossible. She has one of those smiles that causes otherwise intelligent men to momentarily forget their own last name. A smile so radiant it could probably qualify as renewable energy. Unfortunately... she failed the Ring Check. Her left hand glimmered like the cruel punchline to an otherwise flawless joke. I briefly considered challenging her fiancé to trial by combat. Pistols at dawn. Sabers. Bare-knuckle boxing. Maybe a chili cook-off. Whatever the law allows these days. I would've won... and history remembers the brave. Now, on to Lauren. Lauren is the bartender. Lauren also committed the unforgivable crime of not swiping right on me on Facebook Dating. I wish her well, but I hope she knows she has created a permanent emotional scar that may never heal. Every time she poured a beer, I could hear Celine Dion playing faintly in the distance. My heart remains broken. The food arrived before I could spiral completely into despair. The onion rings were... objectively terrible. Hard enough to qualify as building materials. If Home Depot started selling battered masonry, these would be aisle seven. And yet... We could not stop eating them. Every ring was another terrible decision. "This one's awful." Crunch. "God, these are terrible." Crunch. "I think they're getting worse." Crunch. I've seen this same behavioral pattern in casinos. The Maxwell Street Polish was magnificent. Greasy. Covered in grilled onions. Exactly the sort of sandwich that reminds you Chicago understands things the rest of the country never will. The Chicago-style hot dog? Exactly what a Chicago dog should be. No unnecessary innovation. No avocado aioli. No artisanal truffle ketchup invented by a man named Brayden. Just an honest Chicago dog doing honest Chicago dog things. The pulled pork sliders were solid, disappearing quickly enough that nobody bothered pretending to be polite. Then came the brat... on the menu, the main topping was listed as sauerkraut. F&$@ that! Absolutely insulting. Keep your fermented cabbage and your Wisconsin propaganda. Give me onions, peppers, mustard, and enough cholesterol to make my physician visibly uncomfortable. Amanda smiled with the effortless confidence of someone who had no idea she was quietly dismantling civilization. I watched one man forget his wife's birthday, another walk into the hostess stand, and a third begin Googling engagement ring financing before she'd even asked if he wanted another Coors Light. Professional. Friendly. Catastrophically attractive. Seven stars... out of five. Lauren still owes me emotional damages. Amanda deserves hazard pay. The onion rings should probably be classified as geological formations. And I'd return tomorrow without hesitation.

Good for fun with a focus on value, Mount Prospect Public house serves a fairly standard food menu…read moreof appetizers, wings, hot dogs, salads, and sandwiches at a very reasonable price with plenty of specials available. Drink prices are also priced fairly low, even without specials though you can enjoy an evening for less than 20 a person if you order the daily specials. I went here for trivia night and the dining room was fairly spacious and well setup for this. The crowd was lively and service was friendly though not extremely fast. The food was alright for me -- the BBQ pulled pork sliders being my favorite with slightly toasted buns and a fairly sweet sauce. The chicago style hot dog looked good, but was too pickle heavy for me and a bit sloppy to eat. The maxwell street polish was quite flavorful and the grilled onion flavor came out well. The brat was alright as well but there wasn't much that was too memorable about it. The fries were alright for me, but the onion rings were a bit overcooked and too thin for me. Overall, the food is alright but the bar setup and value prices make this a good spot to spend an fun evening with friends. Like everywhere else in this area of Mount Prospect, you may have to park a bit further away from your restaurant and walk if you're going around dinner time.

We ordered some drinks (no one got alcohol) and some appetizers. We got the Low Carb Yuka Fries and while that is not my bag, they were good. I was pleasantly surprised. We also had the roasted red pepper spread, which everyone enjoyed. Two of us ordered the Ultimate Steak Sandwich. I opted to removed the caramelized onions. The other person let them on. I also removed the garlic herb sauce but replaced it with a chimichurri sauce. That really kicked it up a notch and was good for dipping the fries in. They're fresh cut fries, so they were good on their own, but the chimichurri again kicked it up a notch. We also ordered the chicken bowl, the avocado salad, and the Greek style lamb chops. We all loved our food and were too full for dessert. It's a quaint little place, cozy for intimate conversation or a night out with family and friends. I think the night was made a little more fun when a couple came in and was seated at a counter height table and were making out all night. It was a lot and gratuitous. The table next to them were visibly uncomfortable and that made it all the more enjoyable to witness. Dinner and a show. Who knew?

For those who don't know, Small Cheval is the fast casual version of Au Cheval which I've had the opportunity to try in NYC. There's plenty of locations throughout Chicago so definitely make it a stop when you're in town. Now is it as good as Au Cheval? Definitely not but at one-third of the price point, it's hard to complain. The beef patties are well-seasoned with crispy edges and just the right amount of fattiness. My main complaint is that there wasn't nearly enough dijonnaise sauce or pickles, making this pretty dry. The bun was nicely buttered and toasted but almost took away from the contents inside the burger. The Famous Fried Chicken Tenders were also a good try. I could tell the chicken was clean & high quality but there was some flavor I couldn't quite place which made it a bit off-putting; thankfully it wasn't super noticeable especially with the sauces. The Golden Fries were delicious and paired well with the burger & tenders! Even the Cookies & Cream Milkshake was solid! Classic milkshake with a good balance of creaminess, sweetness, and texture from the cookie bits. The interior was also bright, spacious, and comfortable! All in all, really solid try!
