We've been coming here for years now which should be a good indication of how consistently amazing the food and environment is! Their specials are innovative and we always end up ordering something new because they always sound so good!

Great breakfast spot. The food was tasty, and I found the branded coffee mugs to be quite charming. Really good coffee too!

Reuben Sandwich- would be a 5 if there were less fries and more sandwich on the plate.

Came for lunch and sat outside on the covered side patio. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was good- very flavorful, though the Rueben plate was more fries than sandwich.

Everything here is delicious. Service was excellent. Ambience is casual. Nothing was rushed even though we arrived an hour before closing and it was very much appreciated. Definitely a place to return to. Food is always delicious and the staff is wonderful. I recommend coming in to try it because I love coming here at least once or twice when I'm in town.

My family and I had brunch here on Sunday at noon and were lucky that it was no wait! We had nice service, great food, and it wasn't too loud, which is nice if you want to have a conversation. They had tables available outside, but it was too hot out there with no umbrellas for shade. We ordered the Hickory Burger (we liked the bbq sauce), Monte Cristo, and Breakfast Burrito! I got the burrito and it was very good, but quite rich, so I saved half for later. Very cheesy! I would return, it was a good experience!

Stopped here to have a celebration graduation brunch. Our group was 8 large and the food was excellent The service was excellent The price was good The hostess was in need of a personality adjustment But for the most part it was a good stop. I had the healthy breakfast wrap It was a good visit

Since my other half and I were out of town we decided to look up a place and boy were we in for a treat. Our servers name was robin, she greeted us, was somewhat friendly and helpful with menu options. I ordered the grilled Salmon and eggs, and my other half ordered an omelet on a bagel with hashbrowns. I also ordered a cup of orange juice it was perfect, freshly squeezed orange juice is my favorite. The restaurant was clean and looked well-kept. Also, there was a Latina manager at the hostess stand she was very attentive to the customers and helped everyone with a smile. The manager was zooming around the whole time making sure she assisted the servers in taking care of their guests. I wish our server would have been a little more attentive, but everything else was perfect so I'll definitely return once we come back to town.

Overall hidden location which is nice. Lot didn't seem to full. Got seated right away onto the left side where it was just hit with warm air. Made it a little uncomfortable later didn't seem like much airflow was going on. Got the high tables by the bar. Service was okay for how busy it was. Drinks: Orange juice 10/10, fresh and barely any pulp. Iced chai latte 8/10 nice chai taste has additional vanilla flavor to it Food: BYO Skillet: green peppers, sausage, has brown, scrambled eggs, mozzarella cheese and tomatoes 6/10, the sausage was good and cheese and tomatoes. The hash brown were not it. At least in the skillet. They all seemed undercooked and raw and did not make the plate appetizing. The eggs were also super dry and not even scrambled just in a rectangular shape on top on the skillet. Pancakes on the side 8/10, they were good. The syrup helped. 2 eggs 2 meats and tater tots 6/10, the bacon was good and crispy. the eggs were dry as heck and the tots were good and crispy as well. Towards the end we got the check and then waited about 15-20 minutes to then find out we can go pay up front.

I ordered a half salad and half soup to go. When I got to my office and opened the salad, I found a piece of plastic wrap in it. A few minutes later, I discovered a piece of hair on my fruit, which is clearly not mine! Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable! The sanitary conditions are clearly very poor. They offered me a refund, but I have no desire to eat anything from there again. Do not eat there!

The place is super clean and has a really nice vibe. Their menu is awesome has tons of great choices, and the pictures of the specials and drinks definitely got our mouths watering. Didn't even know what to get.The coffee was a bit of a miss because it tasted a little burnt, unfortunately. Our server was rude,She was a little rushed when she helped us and didn't check back on us much but shout out to the awesome bossboys who kept us stocked with napkins and refills. We started with drinks the horchata iced coffee was decent, the mimosas were fantastic, and the lemonade was good even though it wasn't exactly like the picture. Now for the food My Country Fried Steak Needed some serious salt and pepper! The steak itself was a bit tough. I upgraded my sides to the tres leches French toast the fruit and almonds were amazing, but the toast was a little hard around the edges. Also instead of hash browns you can get tator tots and they are very good. For theNashville Chicken Sandwich my son got it plain with just the buffalo sauce. I cut a piece and it was alright. The crunch berry oatmeal was huge and so delicious, with tons of granola. The Mexican omelette was a winner fresh, delicious chorizo, and the sauce was incredible! Highly recommend that one. The s'mores pancakes were the best s'mores pancakes I've had they where seriously amazing And the California scrambler and regular strawberry pancakes were also really good.Overall, the food was fantastic, but the service was not.Despite that we will definitely be back

This place is great for a quick little breakfast. Nothing to write home about , the bacon was over cooked and the drinks weren't amazing. Best part was the French toast . The monkey breath not pictured was like the pull apart you buy at the grocery store. The vibe is cute and the service was fast.

Came in on a holiday and was seated right away. I got the horchata coffee which was Amazing! It's served over ice. I got the chilaquiles and they were amazing! A bit spicy so beware! Our server Juan was very attentive and sweet. Highly recommend!!! Music wasn't too loud. Place seems spacious. They had a good amount of guests yet our food came out quick!

Welcoming atmosphere. I have a lot of food sensitivities so unfortunately I couldn't have most of the items on the menu. I had the Organic Steel Cut Oatmeal and it was very good. I know when I make Oatmeal at home it is never this good. When you order coffee or tea they give you a pitcher of hot water/coffee to refill your own cup. This was nice. I was there on a weekday so not sure if they do that on weekends too since I assume they'd be more busy. Plenty of parking.

So it was off our list for a while. We've now started eating at the bar, which gets us away from much of the noise, and the food and service are still excellent. If only there was a way to address the noise issue overall, I would be happy to give this place five stars...!

It seemed like they had it made due to beating their top selling plate. The chicken had a rubbery feeling, for sure did not meet the hype. We ordered it and it was served very fast. In the other hand, their "Pesto Cavatappi" was served warmed and you could tell it was just made. The chicken on this dish tasted very good and the texture was very different from the Chicken Parm. I would recommend this dish instead of their number one as it was told to us by the server. We ordered two cappuccinos and their Flourless Chocolate Cake. Both cappuccinos were very milky and not warm enough. The dessert was really good but it also took a while to get it. We were half way done with our cappuccinos. Price - I feel they are priced too high for a chicken dish and pasta. Although it is a good portion it is still chicken and pasta. It was $31 for the chicken parm and $26 for the Cavatappi. The dessert was $12 It was a busy day but they should still keep their standards and serve food with the right temperature. I will give it another change for sure.

So we had out of state guests coming in and we all decided on a Friday fish dinner. We call early in the week for reservations for eight plus a child. We called again at 3 pm to confirm our 4pm reservation. They said to get in early about 4 pm because it gets wild at 430. So we arrived at 4 and the bar tender told us of the side room of the bar area. We went into the side room and nothing was set up for a table for eight plus a child. What I presumed an employee came in and set the table up. Several minutes later the bartender came in and said the server was on the way in and should arrive shortly. OK (not) the manager comes in and said you guys don't belong in here and need to leave. She asked who set up the table and the bartender is in tears. I said 1st of we did not set up the table your male employee did. She said we do not have any make employees. Ok I can't do anything about the bartender crying so why are you telling us this. So the eight of us got up only to find not one table for eight was set up in the bar area. Sad ...... So Our out of town guest one a foot surgical foot boot and me carrying my young grandchild walk out is total disbelief. (SHOCKER) We walked a quarter of a mile and had an excellent meal at Mago Grill at 115 Campell Street. The manager at Mago said thanks for coming and I said thank the manager at Eddie's. I highly suggest if you make reservations at Eddie's have a back up plan. The only reason they got a one star rating is because 0 or less was not an option.

There were seven of us and we all converged from Buffalo Grove and Vernon Hills. Jimmy D's doesn't come up on your normal burger place lists in and around the area, but we saw a post somewhere and knew we had to check this place out, especially if it ended up being across from the future home of the Chicago Bears. We'd probably end up hanging out there and wanted to make sure it was a good enough place to hang and be a part of the action, whilst not paying for said action. Anyhoo, we all pulled up to find a nice parking lot next to/behind the restaurant. It's a cool place with a couple entrances (one in the lot and the other from the street). It's a nicely adorned building and has the requisite sports decor on the inside with plenty of televisions to watch many games at once. There was plenty of seating for our group as it was quite empty on a Monday night and there wasn't any game of note when we were there. We called ahead letting them know our numbers and they accommodated us with a reserved table. They were attentive and constantly refilled out waters and sodas and brought more beer when needed/requested. The service was friendly and attentive. We were there for the burgers of which there are four options: the House burger, the Fried Egg Burger, the Mac Daddy, and a Black Bean burger. However, stipulations for being in our club is that you can only order a red meat-based burger. We did order the buffalo sauced wings as an appetizer to share. They were sauced nicely, not too hot, and quite good. I would definitely recommend getting them if you visit. I also ordered the cream of chicken soup. It was a perfect option for the cold night and I rank it among one of the better cream of chicken soup options in the suburbs. While not a sommelier of cream of chicken soup, I do rank it quite well: I think it matches Jameson's Char House for quality, thickness, and flavor. Mama clearly knows what she's doing with her soup. I opted for the Mac Daddy burger. It's prepared with: black angus beef, boom boom sauce, house mac n' cheese, bacon, fried onions, sliced jalapeños, toasted brioche. I normally don't opt for the special/signature house sauces as I've been burned before by these so-called "recommended" house sauces (I'm looking at you, Lucky Burger, with your terrible "dijonnaise" sauce - ugh, don't get me started on THAT sauce). However, I was told it's a hot sauce for the burger and figured it wouldn't overpower everything else on the burger. The mac n' cheese was a tad creamy, but so what, the bacon, fried onions, jalapenos, and boom boom sauce cut into the creaminess a bit and it worked. And it didn't overpower the flavor of the burger, which I thought it would, but somehow didn't. I really liked this burger, the bun held up, the bacon stayed crispy, and jalapenos and sauce added a nice kick but not overwhelmingly so. I would get this again. The sandwiches come with housemade fries or tots, but I know that if tots are offered, you can (generally) never go wrong with tots (I'd point out Puck's Pub but they closed and did the world a favor in doing so). Everyone generally liked their burgers and would return again. In our 5 point scale, Jimmy D's District got a 4.25. They have a nice brunch menu and drinks to match and I want to try them out someday. Let me know if you're going and I'll meet ya there if available.

We looked at the menu and decided while we wait we would go grab a drink at the bar. There were no open chairs at the bar and people were standing around the area as well so my girlfriend walked over to the side of the bar to order drinks near the spot where servers will pick up drinks at the bar counter. My gf was not in the way or anything and the bartender points at her in disgust and says "you cannot stand there you need to move". Not one moment of this did he look friendly or happy to serve a customer. My gf stood there for another 5 minutes, neither of the 2 bartenders acknowledged her, or said they would be right with her, they even took an empty glass of a customer at the bar and asked them if they wanted another. Both my gf and I have held jobs involving customer service. I have worked in restaurants for many years of my life when I was a younger adult. We are reasonable and patient people. The Prospect claims to be classy and fine dining, which I will say, the ambiance is wonderful, but your customer service sucks.
